Duxton Hotel Perth

The Duxton has an amazing view and with Elizabeth Quay right there it’s in a prime location. The service is great, and the rooms look stunning and feel luxurious. However our shower didn’t drain properly and flooded twice and we had the squeegee the water with a towel into a drain before it got into the carpet.

The near flooding emergency was my only complaint and I loved my stay here. The addition of a “vanity” kit in the bathroom with Q-tips was greatly appreciated.

We have two complaints regarding this hotel. We paid $55 for Valet parking and they literally parked our car 1 car length from the doors that I pulled up at yesterday and when I said something to the guy he lied and said they park the cars underground at night, we know this is not true! The other complaint we have is, reservations contacted us by Email regarding validating our Credit card and we had to call them, we rang 3 times over 4 days and reception kept telling us no one was there so we left 3 messages and they haven't replied to us. Terrible customer sevice.

Just spent last weekend for my birthday at the Duxton, it was fabulous, staff were excellent all very polite and attentive, rooms were immaculate, room service spot on, meals in the restaurant were beautiful.
Would highly recommend the Duxton, couldn’t fault it.

$55 per day for compulsory valet parking only have them move the car a few meters and leave it out the front of the building is a ridiculous. Enough for me to never stay there again. Plenty of better priced places with free parking and nicer rooms and view.

Excellent stay at Duxton, really like the hotel. It is very nice, big room, very comfortable. And the location is perfect, right next to a park, and beside the city center. Very nice.

I've been here for a stay and recently for a function and really love the service and provisions.

A bit slow service at reception but pretty reasonable price:) I really liked the atmosphere due to the dimmed light

Very nice clean hotel, good size rooms with air con and good size TV. The breakfast buffet was amazing, the maple syrup on the pancakes was delicious. The swimming pool is not heated as it's outside, so unless it is crazy Hot outside then you will have to be brave.
My only criticism is the charge for parking at the hotel, eg the valet parking wasn't included with the room charge.
I know that breakfast etc sometimes are not included, however charging to park at the hotel? How do you get to even build a hotel with no car parking for free for your guests?

Lovely staff, all very helpful and friendly and go over and beyond. Had a wonderful two day stay. Will definitely go back and recommend them

Always top service and comfortable Club rooms, Club lounge an excellent relaxing option for a quiet and scenic breakfast or afternoon canape experience.

Room was lovely and the staff were very friendly! Definitely recommend. The breakfast buffet was very tasty too.

Loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable. Easily within walking distance to the restaurants and shops. We will be back.

The service was not very good you spend over a thousand dollars a night on a room and get treated like a bum definitely won't be going back

Great staff and excellent service but definitely not 5 star accomodation, very dated and rough around the edges, maybe I booked the 3 star area by mistake.

To stay at The Duxton Hotel was on my bucket list and I was not disappointed at all. Our room was clean fresh. As soon as we walked into the hotel we felt so relaxed welcoming, all of the staff were very professional we will be going back for sure. Thank you so much The Duxton Hotel

Have stayed at the Duxton Hotel a couple of times but this stay was by far the best. The view from our huge room was magnificent. We were given a beautiful room. We felt very spoilt. The service is always excellent and the staff really friendly. Love coming here to celebrate our special occasions and we are never disappointed

Bed not supportive, springs sagged. Overcharged on checkout, not too happy about this. Otherwise a well managed workforce who are well trained.

Staff were great and helpful and accommodated us with a earlycheck-in, lobby area was clean. Room looked neat and tidy at first glance. Entry to the room full of scuff marks on the walls, TV was not working but reception was quick to send someone up to fix it. The room surfaces were clean though coffee table top was very scratched and once you turned the lights on it was not hard to notice alot dust floating in the room. Bathroom was clean but once the bathroom door was closed while sitting on the toilet you got to look at chipped and peeling paint. Main shower head was broken and you had to use the hand held part.
Check out was harder than it should of been, told them about the broken shower head they said they would get maintenance to look at it but came across as though they didn't really care, there was some issue with us to be given a credit on our card we checked in with but was more than what we signed for, turned out they had pulled up the wrong room making check out take about 15 mins.

Over all it was a nice hotel with good service from the staff but I would not rate it 5 star and would look at other options for the same price.

Room 801 needs a reno. The usual problems in the bathroom - mould & missing grout.
Great meal in the restaurant. Walking distance to shops, restaurants etc.
