Dutch Trading Co reviews
47Been here some time ago. We visited this bar because we heard about the play area. They have a small outside area for kids, my 7 years old was bored within the first hour, but my 5 yo daughter enjoyed it. Maybe it's a good pub, just not for as much for families as we though. We didn't find the food so spectacular, there was quite limited option. It's also quite pricey.
Decent selection of beer and drinks however, food prices are a tad exorbitant for what you get.
Example; $30 for a rump steak that I couldn’t order medium rare as it’s “cooked to the chefs discretion” and came out charcoal.
Also asked a bartender what specials were on and was responded with a blunt “none”, which is fine but a nicer attitude towards customers can go a long way in making regular return customers.
Won’t be back anytime soon.
Good range of beers but very short attitude from the staff. Ordered beer, not knowing they need the number instead of the beer name, and was met with sharp responses. Ordered food after, confirmed table number 11, and she delivered to the other table saying mistakenly, she corrected and gave me the attitude "so this is the order for 11 you said was table 12". Sorry if there was a miscommunication but don't take it personally. Just deliver the food.
We came here for the beer and great beer is what we got. The menu is limited but still good. Awesome beer is their speciality and they do it very well. I'll be back.
Good range of drinks but very expensive. There are establishments in Perth CBD that charge less for the same or better products. Food menu is limited although portions are good. However the fish and chips was probably the worst anyone in my party had encountered. The fish itself was delicious although one member of the party found her fish to be raw. The batter was light and crisp but was way overcooked - almost burnt, chocolate brown and saturated with oil. Not a venue I am likely to patronize again in the near future.
Sadly we had to return my partners meal, however to our horror 40 minutes later still no one provided any form of customer service to even remotely make it right in any way. One could almost excuse it as simply Dutch arrogance, but we won’t be back.
Fantastic beer selection.food menu pretty decent - I had the cheese board which was good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
LOVE DTC! Always have a great experience here. Best rotating selection of specialty beers in perth. Events are fantastic as well with tap takeovers, tastings and food pairings. Food is reasonably priced and the menu changes often. Can't say enough positive things about this place. The owner is friendly and a big name in the craft beer scene which helps him get things you wont see anywhere else in WA. They also do takeaway cans and bottles if you want to take something home with you. Definitely worth a visit if you've never been.
Great selection of tap beers along with a well maintained pool table and plenty of seating. Best known for their craft beer selection the Dutch Trading Co.caters for all kinds of folk and have a decent food menu too. Conveniently located on Albany Highway, it’s worth visiting for a cruisy late arvo Sunday Sesh.
I miss the old chalk board beer list, but the new big screens do give you more info about each beer. With 21 taps, it certainly helps.
If you're grabbing a bite to eat, the servings are huge!
Beer selection is incredible and ever changing - the drinks menu is like an airport departures list! Staff are knowledgeable and likeable. Broad and friendly crowd. Food is interesting, but is a bit hit and miss.
Went for a quick drink a few weeks ago and stayed for over 3 hours. The rotating beer selection is amazing and the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The food selection whilst limited has great variety to cater to all tastes, is cooked to perfection and flavors complimented the beers wonderfully. Great job team!
Favourite for catch ups especially with an area to occupy the kids. Food is hearty and tasty. Will be back!
Great selection of drinks, good kids outdoor area, and tasty food. Staff are lovely too and the decor is charming.
What I love is the customer service and it's craft beer. The staff greet you very well. They also do take away beer and they have there own can machine.
Irritated by the rude barman who told us "maybe you should read the board" while discussing the beers on tap
The beers are amazing and the service is great! Also, they have a fully functional pinball machine. However, do not order the crumbed pork burger. It came out burnt and had chewy, gristly bits in it. Very disappointing.
We went to this place around 2 months ago for Lunch and the staff was fantastic, the beers were good. We decided to take our staff there for our Christmas work function. It didn't seem the same place we had been too a few weeks before, the beer was still good but the staff were quite rude towards us when we were ordering drinks. It left a bad taste in my mouth after spending a considerable amount of money at this place.
Having only 1 beef burger on the menu makes you think it would be good/special, but unfortunately it is rather plain and boring with a high price.
We came here for the first time and was happy with the overall experience. Staff were nice and the food was good.
The starter / share plates were well priced. The burger was a little expensive on its own but with an add of fries, it's quite a decent sized meal.
