Dragon Village Chinese Restaurant

My friend and I spent $65 on various items at this restaurant through Uber eats.
In particular the honey chicken and wonton soup was some of the worst Chinese food I have tasted in my life.
The spring rolls were stone cold.
The chicken was cold, unseasoned and came with a side of runny cold honey that had to be poured over the chicken. There was barely enough to cover half of it.
The wonton soup contained 3 wontons and the broth literally had no taste. The wontons were also quite flavourless and undercooked.

We called them to give feedback on the quality of the food. The response we got was “we will definitely send that feedback to the kitchen thanks for letting us know”
There was no apology or offer to refund us for the inedible meals.
Overall the food and service was disappointing
We will not be comming back again or recommending to anyone we know.

Ordered takeaway Malaysian style combination rice + honey chicken was delicious. Service fast and friendly

My wife and I had a sit-down meal last Monday, purely because the chip shop next door decided to close on Mondays. I'm very glad that this happened because we were treated to the ambience of a authentic Chinese restaurant and some lovely food. The waitress gave some advice on whether to chose large or small portions of rice. This turned out to be good advice, as the meals were very generous and we struggled to finish them.
My wife had sweet and sour chicken, while I had crispy duck. Both were delicious and we will certainly be dining there frequently in the future.

Fried rice was excellent and food was enjoyable. Didn’t look the most appealing but it was tasty.

My first and last time ordering here. This was by far the worst Chinese food I have had in the last 10 years. 43 minute wait on take away, The sweet and sour chicken was 90% crunchy batter scraps with maybe 4 edible bits of chicken in the whole container. The satay beef was dry with a powdery texture and no satay sauce to be seen. The other 2 dishes were edible but very disappointing. There are 4 other Chinese restaurants within 5 minute drive of dragon village, all of which regularly enjoy high quality food from and highly recommend.

They only accept PAY PAL for online orders. (Closed until 5.30 (Sat). Our guests arrive at 6pm)
Therefore unable to order or state a current 'taste' opinion. (A few years ago on dining in they were good). We had no choice but to order a Banquet takeaway meal from nearby Poh Poh Restaurant (untried). A person answered the phone and promptly provided advice on our order (12.15pm Sat) for evening pick up - payable in the normal way. Unfortunately, Dragon Village could not offer this basic yet essential service (answer the phone before 5.30pm - or accept various forms of online payment if ordering via their website)

We order every Friday night for our date night. A little more expensive than the other Chinese around but so worth it. Always good food, never had a bad meal. We even book it for birthday divers with the extended family someone's. Cute restaurant that looks like a castle.

Nice atmosphere, staff are friendly. Didn't have to wait too long. Was in a group so we sampled a range of dishes, all good quality expected of the price range ($18 - $22).

Unfortunately we were not impressed. We waited 45 minutes after The time we were told it would be ready. Food was cold and apparently they ran out of prawn crackers. Not happy

Delicious, tasty, fresh. What more can I say? Really happy I tried it.

Order process very efficient, however when we arrived 5 mins early for our pick up food was already out waiting. We placed carefully in thermo bag, but by the time we got home some dishes were past their best. The plum sauce had already been put on the duck so it was a bit soggy. The Chinese veggies were mostly stalks with very little variety, but since there were lots of veggies in the other dishes it was not necessary, so would give it a big miss. Lovely flavours with the Mandarin combination, I would recommend that dish. We ordered two rice dishes; combination fried rice and fried rice - we honestly couldn’t tell the difference between them! Sweet and sour pork was not to my taste - heavily battered pork fried beyond dry with a very poor sauce (tasted like a jar sauce!) on the side. Chilli prawns didn’t have very much chilli in it. All in all we were pretty disappointed, and for $134 I feel our birthday celebration dinner was a bit of a let down!

Terrible service and rude staff. Ordered online, then we were waiting for half an hour when they call to say they were rejecting the offer because they were too busy. This is an hour after they accepted it.

Owner was rude and dismissive about a refund. I'll never order from here again.

I had 4 dishes (2 meat, 1 omelette and a noodle dish) and they're all very delicious. I must say the serving size is HUGE. It was enough to feed 3-4 people, easily.

Personally, I enjoyed the Sichuan Chicken the best. I like my spicy food and it does have a good amount of heat to it. The black bean beef is flavoursome and not overly saucy. The omelette was well-cooked and packed with ingredients, and my Hor Fun reminded me of home.

I'm a Chinese, who grew up eating home cooked Chinese food and I must say, the food here is really good. The dishes I had suited my palate and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

If you're looking for reasonably priced, good tasting, generous serving of Chinese food, I think you'll be satisfied with what they have. Food MIGHT take a while, because they're cooked fresh to order, and not sitting around in a warmer waiting to be dished up.

I will definitely come back here as I intend to slowly eat my way through the menu.

Good value, tasty dishes, nice atmosphere. Have been coming here for 20 years and our family has always really enjoyed it.

Fast service and great tasting fresh Chinese cuisine. The spicy food isn't very hot which is great if you're not good with spice but bad if you're looking for it.

Succulent chinese meals, allowed me to speak, no p**** grabbing and of course they know their judo well. Will return again.

Sweet and sour sauce was more of a syrup than sauce. Was nasty. Hard uncooked veggies in the satay chicken and the honey chips cken was plain and boring. Very unsatisfactory for the amount they charge. Won't be going back.

I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years! Best Szechuan chicken and Honey Chicken I have had. The original people still run the restaurant. Sometimes the dining in experience can be a little off ie cleaning around you while you're still eating but the food makes it worthwhile. I think they make most of their money via take away. The satay chicken and Duck with plum sauce are also amazing and the best part is that it is consistent. I love the place.
