Dongara Hotel Motel reviews
54 The hotel part is very good, good service, good selection and very reasonable prices for their meals which were also plentiful and served quickly. Breakfast was also very good.
The motel rooms are spacious but the bathroom in our suite was antiquated and in need of sprucing up. Tapware was rusty and the cold water over the sink took a bit of tap turning to get it running.
Overall, in a good location and we would stay again.
Buzy at meal times with the locals dinning / eating, So obviously a sign of the great food & family friendly
Comfortable bed, hot shower, huge tasty meals and helpful, friendly staff. What more could you want while wildflower wandering?
Stayed there 1 night. Motel was good (clean and neat) and worth staying. The food at the restaurant wasn't so great (hence 3 stars). Most of the staff were friendly thou!
Great food and prompt service despite the busy night with the bus in. Staff did a fabulous job.
Once again quality hospitality service more than sufficient food but top quality serve. Always prepared to advise people to use this outstanding hotel facility when they visit Dongara.
Always surprised at how fast the food comes out and the quality is always top notch. We visit here often.
Clean, comfortable rooms with large shower. Ample parking outside rooms.
Nice big sportsbar with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Med-rare steak came out well done. Lost a star for staff being less friendly than the rest of Dongara
Stayed there for 2 nights on 27th and 28th February 2021. Beautiful motel, food very good and room very clean. Close to all amenities, staff also very friendly. I only have one gripe though, on the Saturday night I was drinking pints of Carlton dry for $11 a pint and on the Sunday night I was charged $12.20 per pint (Carlton dry). I did query it but was told prices have gone up.
Parmi was a decent size, but a few bits of green and a slice of are a slice of is not a Salad.
Absolutely the most rude staff and management ever, they do not know how to accommodate tourist and o er priced for less than ordinary food
Excellent service and a great range of food on the menu. Checkout the TBONE STEAK very yummy and awesome size. The service was fast and the price was very reasonable. The kids had room to run around and the resturant offered indoor and outdoor seating.
5 star for the food. Went here first time on Friday and just squeezed in for lunch. All meals were superb! We will be back!
Great price and the rooms are clean and in good condition for it's age. Good location it was a shame we couldn't eat at the pub here tonight to food looked amazing this will be a place we visit again.
A well maintained, clean, quiet hotel & motel. The rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable. The bar & restaurant are very popular and the restaurant has one of the best menus I have ever seen in a hotel. Meals are large, prices are very reasonable, the service is friendly, efficient and very welcoming. Centrally located to shopping facilities in the town, I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants a room for a night or just somewhere to go for a great meal & a few drinks. The restaurant is very popular so making a reservation is highly recommended.
And again. ONLY THE BEST. Food never fails. Hubby and I love the food and staff. Even though they're all new staff since last visit.
Overpriced misplaced order it went back to kitchen came out cold ate it couldn't be bothered complaining much ado about nothing will go to IGA cook myself.
What a lovely little hidden treasure this tiny coastal town is. The Dongara Hotel staff gave us a warm welcome and went the extra mile from then on in. Restaurant has good fresh seafood. Try to get a seat inside in winter! Our room was cozy and super clean. Little hotels like this are working hard during Covid to meet traveller's expectations. I reckon it's a good time to bring back tipping, a few bucks here and there just to show appreciation.
Recommended. Courteous staff, clean comfortable room, good selection of reasonably priced food. Presents as a well managed operation.
Our dinner at the Dongara Hotel Motel after a day of Wildflower hunting at the Coalseam Conservation Park (visited Sept’18). Pleasant overnight stay here and unexpectedly delicious pub food and cheerful, friendly service. We had the grilled snapper and garlic prawns ($30) ; grilled snapper and scallops ($28) and Surf and Turf ($44). They ran out of chips and substituted it with wedges - no complaints there.
Tip: Kitchen opens from 6pm to 9pm and it is highly recommended to make a booking.
