Dôme Café - Maylands

Too many doors to the toilets if you’re on crutches. Had to be buzzed in from the outside. Tricky.

Not sure what is going on with this place lately. Last 2 times we’ve been here, they’ve got our (very simple) orders wrong. In the past they’ve been really great.

Sure the location is nice, but the coffee isn’t! Tasted bad, and tongue-scalding hot even after leaving it for a few minutes (and I usually drink it hot). There was only one person taking orders and they were making coffee as well. This may have been a one off staff shortage but it’s all I can judge on.

Great location and always use to meet a friend. Food is consistently good along with the coffee. Always plenty of parking and seating.

The Pesto mushtoom on ciabatta was completely flavourless, didn't taste any pesto at all only the fetta which was overpowering. The ciabatta was burnt and the mushrooms had a fishy taste to them. Ate a couple bites, then left it.

Staff very friendly and professional. Not enough complimentary Saturday morning papers to read. Parking limited

Neat dome place nestled inside a really old building next to the train station. The food was good but also the standard for a done cafe so it's not like you need to expect anything mind blowing.

I've been going to this place for my whole life. Such a great and has the friendliest staff you can find. Toilets are difficult to get to for people going the first time, but their food always is perfect. I remember going there with my grandma and 2 dogs and eating their Mac n' Cheese when I was about 5. Always has the best seating.

Great place for a coffee and brunch. The staff have always been lovely and the coffee excellent. I'm looking forward to trying their seasonal gingerbread latte on my next visit

This 'Dome' Cafe is located in a beautiful old building allowing hidden Corner and comfortable armchairs. The is an outdoors sitting areas for sunny days, allowing various choices according to ones mood. The food is nice and service friendly.

Delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices. Wonderful historic building. The staff were professional and courteous.

Can't go wrong with Dome Coffee and food is always the same standards in each one hey. Simple and you know what it's going to look j taste like

Love this place. Great service from all the staff, and I’ve never had an issue with the food or drink. My latest favourite thing to get are some warm scones with jam and cream with a tea or coffee and sit outside and just enjoy the fresh air. Can’t wait to come back again.

Dome is the Supper club venue.folk music and spoken word items. Great entertainment this time. Good food, included in ticket price.

All Domes are not equal. Vic Park is good. Belmont is rubbish (needs a new cook).
Maylands is tired and old looking and feeling. I went to the men's loo and was quite disgusted with it's condition. Really old tiles, cracked and chipped in hundreds of places/pieces. I won't go back coz if I want a pee I'll never go their loo again!

Nice place covid safe place scan in and they check your vaccination status was a little bit of a wait for our food but yummy and nice staff amazing not much parking around the place

Meal was pretty average. I had salmon and the piece of fish was small. Tasty but nothing to get excited about. It was the company that made the night, not the venue or the meals. Convience is over priced.

Often visit Dome (Maylands) for a coffee and to read the complimentrary newspapers. Always good service and nice coffee. The only problem I have with this establishment is the state of the men's toilets (can't speak for the women's). I understand this location is the corporate headquarters for Dome. It is clear the owners/management don't use the same toilets as their customers! The men's toilet is old, rundown, unkempt, dirty and smelly. There is no excuse for this as the toilets are exclusively for their customers (you need to ask the staff to get access to them) and not open to the general public. C'mon Dome, lift your game and treat your customers with the respect and courtesy they deserve.

Love this great local coffee franchise. Their shop decorations are beautiful done, and they provide a retro vibe. The coffee quality’s consistently alright in addition to their designated parking space, they have plenty of street parking free for a couple of hours. Toilets avlb - we need to ask for an access though.

Relaxing spot with coffee and cake and other yummy foods. The staff and the free wifi are all amazing.
