Dôme Café - Hillarys

It is Dome, not much more can be said. Middle of the road, good location. Although the cake came 20 minutes before the coffee.

My hubby and I decided to go for breakfast in Dome Hillarys
Today.

We order two fruit mix drinks
A Vegetable Soup
A avocado salad in toast

And I ordered Caesar Salad.

Everything else is ok.
But The Caesar’s Salad isn’t!
The Salad leaf were not fresh
Chicken looks life some left over and last didn’t taste nice.

The worst I had, not happy very disappointed
We all paid full price.

We didn’t complain we just want to have something to eat and go
But I didn’t enjoy the Caesar’s Salad

Very bad service by the time my big breakfast came my coffee was cold. Got served a big breakfast with no eggs and the waiter starts arguing on what I have ordered, not a good experiance, never again.

I went to hillarys dome at 2: 30pm on a sunday and had to wait half an hour for my food just to come out half empty and stone cold and had to ask for my money back

We came for coffee. I asked for extra hot. The lady said she would remember to tell the barrista. When the coffees arrived I reconfirmed with the waitress that they were extra hot and she said yes. So either they were not made extra hot or they were left standing a while as they did actually take around 15 minutes to be delivered.
Two stars unfortunately as 3 would be above average.

Was double charged by manager rather than receiving a refund. The manager decided they were closing up, despite staff accepting our dine-in order after we asked if they were still open.

Went to Dome Cafe Hillarys at 8: 35pm on Tuesday 27/12/2022. Asked staff if the kitchen was still open. They said they were still serving cake and coffee. We placed our order and sat down. The manager soon approached us to say they were closing and we had to leave in 15 minutes. We said we just placed an order. He then gave a couple excuses about the staff being new and that he had been working since 6am. He offered to refund the order and we said no probs. Instead of refunding the order he charged us a second time for the same order.

We called Dome Hillarys and spoke to the manager currently on duty. The manager initially tried to blame Westpac bank for incorrectly processing the charge, but upon showing the charges to my credit card, the manager conceded and remarked that the other manager who was on duty on Tuesday night was himself new and made an error. He said we would need to come down there to organise a refund.

I will retract this negative feedback once both charges have been rectified.

Waited roughly 25mins for two green teas. Green tea was way too strong because water was too hot. It was 7am. Restaurant about 1/3rd full. Only 1 barrister. Staff offered excuse that barrister was busy. Perhaps extra staff are required?

Ordered 2 t/away coffees
1 x cappuccino 1 x almond latte
Cappuccino ended up being a flat white with a FEW choc sprinkles - what is the point of ordering a coffee if you aren't going to get what you asked for! I have been a Barista for over 10yrs - quality over quantity should take precedence plus just because it has a lid on it shouldn't mean the quality should be any less.
Very unhappy - waste of money!

Took my Mum out for a Devonshire Tea at Dome Hillarys. Got a Latte and 2 scones with my choice of jam and real cream. Mum got a Cappuccino and the scones as well. Scones were warm and absolutely lovely! Will be coming back to enjoy that xperience again.

Variety of food options and good coffee and chai latte.

Just been to Dome in hillarys. The manager Ram argued with me when I tried to order. (the worst customer service)
The coffee was good, however the food was cold, we ordered chicken strip's, sent the first lot back because they were pink. Second try they were cold.
I would give it a miss, if I was you.

Short staffed so service was slow.coffee was nice but expensive.in short done it once a year for special occassions.just not a great coffee shop.just an ordinary coffee shop

Personally think 1 star is even “too nice” worst food experience and customer service experience!
got the big breakfast was brought out mouldy tomato’s, the manager is very rude and disrespectful she refused at first to give me a refund once other customers started coming in and could hear what was happening she changed her mind, i paid all together over $60 dollars when i requested for everything to be refunded as once i’ve eaten and seen there was mould on my tomatos neither my friend or i felt comfortable to continue to eat our food, she wasn’t understanding and was trying to find any reason or way to not have to refund us although we was sold mouldy food and once i realised i stopped and told one of the staff members! She also followed me and my friend out, we didn’t feel welcomed and she made us feel uncomfortable, wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

My expectations are never high when I visit a cafe like Dome, but $18 for a ham, olive and mushroom "pizza" which was made on a store bought base (the same ones they sell at Coles) and was warmed more than it was cooked, is just disgusting. Not even as good as a school canteen pizza, you guys should be ashamed.

Yes we just stopped here for a cuppa & a pastry, beautifull setting & glorious weather, we loved it

Usually a lovely place for lunch to go but today at hillarys, I waited over half an hr for my meal, ordered chicken casaer salad, first plate came, was missing chicken, second plate came back which I saw was the same original plate, with a tiny dipping bowl of chicken added to the side, asked for money back, counter girl was helpful, manager was verbally aggressive, unprofessional and unhelpful. We will not be going to any more of these restaurants again sadly.

Had to send mine and wife's food back it was stone cold.
Mine came back with snotty eggs.
Manager just smirked and didn't care.
Terrible food and service.

Ordered Macaroni bolognese for my 4yrs old boy, after eating the food for a while he complained stomach ache and also said the food tasted weird. I smelt and tasted the macaroni bolognese it' obviously went sour. The lady in charge said sorry and would like to give me refund (9.95dollar) for macaroni bogonese only but insist they follow all food regulation and they are doing nothing wrong.i refused taking the refund, and would like to post my experience here, also will complain to local council as i do think food safety is extremly important.if the food you sold is causing health risk, you need to do more to avoid similar thing from happening again, not looks like "what do you want since i already give you refund'. How about i gave you '100dollars', are you going to eat the food which went sour?

We had a great time, Nice view at beach, nice food, if you have kids there are staff for painting.
