Dôme Café - Geraldton

Dome Café Geraldton, A practice in mediocrity.

It's hard to recommend any Dome you might come across because in reality they have been providing the same dull experience since the first Dome opened in 1991.

All problems aside I will say the staff during my time being waited on was pleasant with training that didn't lack and a smile to welcome. Café décor is typical of any Dome with the hardwood flooring that always seems dirty, menus displayed in it's sticky gloriousness and surfaces mired in finger/hand prints suggesting rogue little people being let loose for that family friendly café vibe.

Onto the core experience of every café, that being the food and drink you intend to eat. This where this review begins to go sour, unlike their food which lacks all taste. Taste and display akin to fast food restaurants, designed to provide the same meal day in day out as to not offended any regulars whom (Lacking a better way to explain this) would order McDonalds over seas and call that a good culinarily adventure. Evidence of Domes cookie cutter cooking is displayed right on the plate as the hollandaise sauce looks as if they got it straight out of the bottle and limp salads being masked by a quantity over quality mantra.

Your drinking experience here will be unstimulating like sitting in the waiting room of the doctors surgery unless you enjoy touching all surfaces with sticky hands then Dome has a big selection for you friend and it's main ingredient is sugar. Back to the refined selection of beverages and its boring. Coffee beans so inoffensive Greta Thunberg probably endorses them and Teas with so little imagination it didn't win the war for England.

Overall to put it plainly, Its Dome. That's it, It'll suit those whom are looking to have an interview in a neutral place, taking nan out for a meal but doesn't want to deal with a 'chef' who loves seasoning, taking your cousin out for a meal with 'those' children who have never been told no, taking anyone who finds pepper spicy and anyone who loves drive thru coffee.

If it isn't the McDonalds of Cafes, "I'll see you at Dome".

Dome always has a great standard. When i have been never had a bad cuppa or good. Great standard, always.

I had a fantastic coffee at the Dome and I Love my big Black coffee. Large bowl of chips didn't leave a crumb.

The smalls are small and poor quality for the price. Service is slow and unorganised. Would not recommend

Love the Dome Geraldton great food choices and a great view, for the first time I ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and got ham cheese and warm bread just saying.

It's a very popular spot. However, it's very noisy and our order was not correct and several times we were approached with orders that were not ours. The staff are friendly. But won't be going back there.

Stopped in for a couple of cold drinks on a Saturday afternoon and had the order made incorrectly twice after a 10 minute wait. Once I did get the drinks they both just tasted like very lightly flavoured milk (chocolate espresski with extra coffee and a berry bliss smoothie) not up to the usual dome standard set in Perth, couldn't taste any coffee whatsoever. In their defence they were fairly busy however while waiting to pick them up I did see another 3 orders incorrectly made.

Staff were friendly but I'd hit up a quieter cafe if you're in a hurry and want a decent coffee.

The food is bland and expensive, needs more variety added to to the menu. Chocolate thickshake was good.

Staff are friendly but with all Domes food is overpriced and underwhelming. Don't ever order a scone as is more like sweet hotdog bread.

Great location and great service right on the front beach foreshore. Places for kids to run around and also easy viewing as parents.

Just went to Dome Geraldton on Good Friday. About to order only to discover the kitchen was closed due to holiday trading hours. Totally our mistake.

Packed up the kids & their drawings racking our brains where else to go when the manager came over & made an exception. He'd checked with the kitchen & they offered to do simple food for the kids whilst they cleaned up. Absolutely phenomenal customer service! Thankyou Dome:)

Great location, right on the waterfront. Delicious food, family friendly atmosphere, typical good dome experience.

Dome is great for lunch & dinner and have a great range of meals and sweets to choose from.

I am touched, after bad experience in a motel in Cervantes. Great selection, great food, nice staff here!)

Busy. Had a pleasant light lunch while watching yachts sailing in the harbour as it was a sunny Sunday.

Standard has dropped! Forgot my coffee order, when I reminded them the coffee was too hot and burnt. The barrista was the slowest I have ever seen!

Great looking building relaxing atmosphere good food great place to have a drink or eat and watch the world go by inside or outside and views of the ocean.

Excellent location and ambience, on the foreshore by the sea. Food and coffee were very good. Service and wait time were also very good. Prices were a bit higher than expected, otherwise would be 5 star. Overall a very pleasant experience for breakfast.
