Discovery Parks - Swan Valley

Great place to stay for a holding. The cabin we stayed in was very well maintained and cleaned very thoroughly. They even left tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets as complimentary items. The draws were well stocked with plenty of utensils, cookware and cutlery.

The website says they won't charge you but then they deduct the amount in full. Within days of making the booking & with over a month before the reserved date they are now charging me hundreds of dollars in cancellation fees. Stay clear of Discovery Parks as they deduct your account even when the website says it wants your card details only to make the reservation & will charge closer to the date. They have also changed their policies so no matter what you have to pay for a cancellation even if it's a year before the date. Dishonest business practices.

The 2 room Cabin was very well organised and self contained it was a delight to stay in, it was very clean and tidy, and the main bedroom in the Cabin was very comfortable and warm. The kitchen has everything for cooking and we highly recommend the Park, the Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Lovely location.

Lovely park with friendly staff. Super location in the Swan Valley and close to the beautiful Perth Hills.

Stayed in cabin 208 for 2 nights. Great location. Our cabin needed maintenance due to water damage in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom needed a good scrubbing, especially the white floor. Our hot water system died and we had to wait until the office was opened at 9am on the Saturday morning for the maintenance man to replace the gas bottle so that we could cook breakfast have showers and clean out to check out on time.

Great accommodation, very clean, friendly staff. Highly recommend to all looking to stay in the area.

Wow just wow, the family cabins are very clean and sorted, my daughter's 2 and 3 literally dont sleep anywhere without a fight, first night here they passed out relaxed and calm had even longer sleep so to me that means there is good ground.

Absolutely wonderful! We love it here! Facilities, location and staff are wonderful. Having great staff makes any stay extra special. Amanda, Sandy and Nathan all went out of their way to ensure we were happy, comfortable and had everything we needed, very friendly and welcoming staff. Thank you for having us!

Spent a week there recently - excellent spot with good access to Swan Valley attractions.

What more can you ask for really a nice big park right in the middle of the Swan Valley our site had views of the nearby winery and vines, there is a little bit of noise from above as it's close to the flight path, amenities are big and clean with plenty of pressure in the showers.

Since the new management has taken over this place is all about money, after paying $750p/w for 5 months for a two bedroom Challet. Then they said if we didn't pay their rent increase to $875p/w that we could get out of the management will call the police to evict us,
The management are just horrible nasty people, especially during the time of a housing crisis. How much of a scumbag do you have to be to kick a family of five to the streets $875 you should be ashamed of yourself

Clean and tidy. Friendly welcome at reception. I only stayed one night, down in Perth for a party. The concrete pad was level the facilities very clean.

Honestly overpriced for unpowered site right next to noisy busy Benara road terrible no privacy no peace just noisy traffic.

Manager Trevor needs a lesson in customer service, and Covid safety as we found out after we checked in that half the place was filled with people that are in “quarantine" and they were outside of their rooms, walking around the park and mingling with other guests. When we questioned Trevor about this his reply was that he didn’t have to tell anyone that they had people in quarantine there and that “ If you came here to get away from Covid you came to the wrong place”. If we had been informed about this prior to booking we would have stayed somewhere else, the room filled with ants and door don’t lock.

We stayed at the camp site with 3 other families. 3 out of the 4 cabins had issues, our cabin had a strong smell of urine & the bathroom sink ran constantly. To make things worse we noticed signs on lots of the cabins stating - residents only past this point do not enter, to find out that they have people staying all throughout the camp in Covid quarantine, this had not been brought to our attention at booking or check in, when we contacted Trevor the manager he told us ‘he didn’t need to tell us shit’ when we stated we came for a weekend away as we are healthcare workers his response ‘if you came here to get away from Covid you’ve come to the wrong place’ I am disgusted by this mangers attitude & how inefficiently they are dealing with Covid protocols. This place is putting travellers at risk allowing people in quarantine to mix with holiday makers - allowing them to walk round camp, not wearing masks & all throughout the campsite not separated.
We will definitely not recommend or return. Staff have extremely poor communication & customer service skills. It really turned what should have been an awesome family fun weekend away to a nightmare.

Wow. What an amazing location. Good customer experience when we arrived with advice that they were there to help if needed. Obviously lots of permanent residents here but on the other hand the new cabins for tourists looked awesome.
Our spot backed onto a vineyard. A visit to Pinelli winery is a must.
3rd stay at a Gday park this year. Did not disappoint. Thanks again Gday parks and team in the Swan Valley.

Perfect location and price for what we wanted, clean, and well equipped chalets and the staff were friendly and helpful.

ITS COOL TO BE KIND-DISCOVERY PARKS
BUT NOT SWAN VALLEY PARK. Absolute lack of understanding or kindness in any degree, but no acceptance of responsibility on their part of situation, causing conflict with there unfriendly manner in which they chose to handle matter at hand Especially given we are behaved, friendly and liked guests within the park by permanent/long stay residents who pay, leave no mess or damage but in fact have taken time to water almost dead grass in attempts to present park a bit fresher. Instead have been threatened with police (apparently notified, as we haven't finished packing our gear up and left. All this due to a small confusion with booking. ALL OF WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF SITE'S WERE CHECKED AT CHECKOUT AND BEFORE CHECK-IN OF GUESTS by staff.
Now in peak season or capacity I would completely understand the hard line. But with tenting area not even half full.

UNREASONABLE/ not willing to suggest alternative options
UNJUSTIFYING/ cannot and will not give a reason for their stance.
UNCOMPRIMISING (EVEN WHEN PARTLY AT FAULT) so dark already not willing to allow us to stay on one of many empty sites and pay for this evening in morning as they wouldn't accept payment earlier due to confusion (even thou we are already booked from tomorrow).

So we are expected to pack up everything, leave for not even 20 hrs and return to set up again because they failed to site condition check before booking it out. If they had, they would have noticed it wasn't vacant and continued from there.

I was informed by some of the friendly staff, that new management had been put in place which they seemed happy about but disappointingly, it hasn't affected the liaison with guests positively. Park has great potential to be amazing but currently is truly FAR FROM IT. Truly such a let down the poor attitude and mannerism in which this what could have been a minor mixup and created a better perception of how park and it's guests are managed. So much for making our stay more enjoyable, definitely made it memorable but not in a good way.

Great little park. Close to several different wineries. So much for families to see and do in the Swan Valley, but also so much to do at this great little park! The camp kitchen looks to be newly refreshed as well, which was an added bonus. Pool was well maintained. My only comaint would be that the grass was quite prickly - make sure you're always wearing shoes! We'll be back for sure.

Not too far from the Perth Airport and East Perth TransWA Bus terminus.
Not too far from a coles supermaket neither, for a quick 12min walk from the Park Entry.
