56Good noodle dishes that are made fresh in store. You can also buy their fresh noodles to take home. Dishes are reasonably priced.
Had the dry BBQ pork with noodles. Very tasty and the BBQ pork was really good, nicely charred yet soft
Customer service used to be good but the new lady at the counter has an attitude problem- quite abrupt and rude to say the least. It's disappointing. The owners were always very kind and friendly but haven't seen recently. Most of staff who bring out the food are nice and attentive though.
I had to wait nearly an hour for 2 takeaway meals even though people who came after me got their food before me.
If you order the chicken rice, apparently the broth is extra if you get it take away. Might have been nice if the cashier explained that.
After the long wait the food was cold and fluffy
Will never go back.
Rude cashier. The pictures do not match the actual foods and the size is only suitable for kids.
They currently don't have the chef that makes hofun which I was disappointed when I got here. Despite that their Hainese chicken was still delicious, really balanced and service was great!
D Big Mama's Hokkien noodle was still delicious. After so many years they still maintain good quality. The noodle texture and sauce type were similar to KL Hokkien noddle. Very generous in giving crunchy little pork lard cubes. One of the best in Perth. Hokkien noodle was best served with their good sambal sauce as a side dish. Lucky to have it in Perth. The thick noodles were homemade by the owner. Good service. Next time I would request softer noodles. Cheers! (2021-11)
Disappointed! Been here before but this time wasnt good. From taking our order which was wrong to quality of the product.
Photo shows how much oil they put on my bowl. Roast chicken supposedly soft and juicy it was 30% of the chicken top was hard looks like it was fried. Not coming back anymore.
The food here is monstrously delicious while being very well priced. They have a large menu, very good staff and service, can't recommend enough
So far best Nasi Lemak I've had in Perth. Compared to THE standard: Nasi Lemak House in Melbourne, not there, but I'm still very satisfied
Very yummy and authentic Malaysian food. In true Malaysian style, there was a big variety of choices. We had a couple different noodles that we frequently have in Malaysia.
It was very busy when we were there but they served the food fast. You can see Big Mama herself serving food and working in the restaurant, making sure her team is on their toes!
Busy at lunchtimes during the week and weekends. Fortunately, they are pretty quick to get the orders out. So many great dishes to choose from. My favourite is the Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken. Also has some tasty Malaysian drinks - Kopi-o Yummo! So happy that they are local.
Delicious bakuteh & charsiew wanton mee. Got my banmian fix, noodles freshly made. Authentic Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine, along with complimentary Malaysian humor.
Always look forward to come here whenever we're dropping by Coventreys. 5/5! Extra points for the laughs.
Good standard of food with a wide variety. Fried dishes had wok hei (wok breath) which makes food delicious. Ice kachang had very finely shaved ice and generous helping of ingredients. Prompt service with a smile and friendly. Definitely a place for a good feed.
We’ve order a laksa and bakute (pork born soup) it was super yummy! The best ever had in Perth! Can’t wait to have them again!
Best KL Hokkien Mee I've had in Perth, perfect handmade noodles by the same Uncle who used to make bamboo noodles in the window at Noodle Forum. Definitely only recommended for dine in as it dies extremely quickly when taken away in a steaming box. Also nice to see Auntie who used to run Ipoh spot on William St in NB near Roe again, her Kaya toast and Kopi Sub $5 brekkys fed me dozens of times in the late 2000 to early 2010s. Fresh noodles also available to buy to cook at home
Fried Kway Teow and Ho Fun lack the all important flavour. No cut chillies and sambal provided and staff not too happy when asked.
You can always rely on Big Mama to serve good food, reasonably priced and authentic Malaysian food
Fast, efficient, fresh, great flavour and prices are very fair. Have tried a few dishes but I always go back to the pork and prawn noodle soup (no 18 on the menu) Spicy and very tasty. Probably go there again later this morning
Service of food quick, staff friendly, enjoyed the food I ordered but not sure if I'd go back again
