Curry Affair

I love this place, I absolutely crave it! The veggie curries are phenomenal, the best I’ve had in Perth. My favourites are the Dahl, Veggie Korma, Veggie Sambar, the sweet HOT Eggplant curry +the Potato Bhaji. Get the Garlic Naan as they’ll cook that while you wait +it comes out so fluffy fresh +piping hot! I’ve introduced many people to this place that agree, best lowkey Indian restaurant around. The meat curries are great too, nice Tandoori Chicken quarters too, but I rarely get them as the veggie ones have such unbelievable flavour I never want to miss out on any one of them (I mostly get the same ones every time). Just FYI the curries are well salted, but I love salty things +when you have them with the rice as it’s intended, it is perfectly balanced. The Coconut Barfi slice for dessert is nice too.

The price is reasonable, I spent $87 which sounds like a lot but I got enough curry +rice for TEN meals for the two of us (I freeze them +they reheat nicely) plus some Samoas +Naan for the first night. This time they threw in two 0% beers for free. Every couple times I go they will do small kind acts like two for the price of one Naan or I’ll buy two Samoas +they’ll throw a third in for free, that kinda thing.

I’ve been going to this place for yeeeears, at least 13yrs, if you see my other reviews I do not stand for bad service, but the owner is always cheerful +the staff are always lovely to me, but I am always lovely to them too. I think the bad service reviews come about as the staff tend to reflect the customer, if a customer is flat they are flat +direct back, but I haven’t ever seen rude before, they are only ever lovely +friendly +kind to me! I highly recommend!

Bought two thali meals take away and I must say it’s not worth for $18. Very few meat in it and lots of rice and veggies. Worst service and I won’t go again.

We love the food here. The owner is so nice and welcoming, this is our go to Curry spot everytime. We especially love Butter Chicken, Lamb Korma, Mutton, Chicken Biryani and can’t forget their Garlic Naan.

Lunch was good but not as good as before. The briyani rice didn't taste great. Papadam was not crunchy/ stale. Meat and vegie still tasted the same. Price has increased just like many other restaurants. Indian combo that I had is now $15.90 but only for two chicken dishes + 2 vegie. Meat dish (beef/lamb/ mutton) is $1 extra per dish. Tandoori chicken basket is now $18.90.

We had their combo rice and tandoori chicken basket. Their lamb korma was beautiful and delicious. They have a good selection of curry and bread. My personal fav is their tandoori chicken basket. Beautiful naan bread with moist chicken. Their price is affordable and service is friendly and quick.

Ordered through ozfoodhunte, but when I went to pick up my order they haven't done my order. Instead, they were complaining about the service without considering wasting my time. Even though I ordered Dosa so terrible so dry and burned, tasted more like its spoilt.
The owner is so grumpy and the attitude of the front lady is terrible, unlikely to go there ever again. Do not recommend this place.

I am just in love with this place. Staff is so good and warm hearted. On the other hand food is delicious with reasonable prices. Owner of this place is so kind. I can never get tired visiting this place again and again. Thank you so much.

Never disappoints. The selection of curry options, to the delicious fresh naan, to the chutneys and salad (which is probably one of my highlights) everything is amazing.

The mutton and eggplant curries are personal favourites, but me and my partner have probably tried all options available and they are all as good as the next.

Order the buffet! I implore you! Its amazing value for money and you can eat as many tasty offerings as your heart desires, a great way to try new things!

We have dined at many a ‘fancy’ inner city indian restaurant that charge probably twice the price the buffet costs and you get less food that doesn’t taste as good. Every time we do it we find ourselves wishing we had gone to a curry affair instead.

Im only a recent convert (3 years) my partner has been coming here for 12 years, and we will continue to trek to this place because it is so worth it. In fact this place is probably the only reason that we still use our car.

Food is very delicious, I would highly recommend to go this restaurant for a dining or take away.

Poor customer service we left during our buffet lunch they clearly didn't want us to grab more then one plate.

Family has been coming here for years and we always thought it was great. Mum used to order bulk for functions. Very disappointed tonight. Unfriendly service from the young lady who was serving. Undersized portions. There was mainly sauce. Over priced. $50 for a large meat dish, a large rice, a small combo and they gave one papadam. Lost us as customers tonight.

Uber eats had 4 tandoori chicken for 10$ and a free item after you spend $35.received 1 piece tandoori chicken and no free item. Called them up and the lady confirmed that one piece costs 10$! But the picture shows 4 pieces.don’t waste your money, plenty more Indian restaurants!

Basically the local place i eat now, Everyone is very friendly and the food is awesome. I been there countless times.about once a week sometimes more.:)

Ordered Menulog takeaway delivery from them last night. 3 meat combination with 2 garlic naans. What an instant regret. I Had ordered so that I won’t have to cook food but instead, i had to cook again. Literally all the curries with rice and pickles in a container of 150 ml capacity. (I could still see some space between lid and food, better use more smaller containers next time). I thought atleast naan would be good but, if you want to give a prize for smallest, thickest and no garlic on garlic naans ever made. ”, give it to curry affair malaga. They would certainly win.

PS: if you are ordering a delivery, it would be a great way to waste $35 AND THEN COOK AGAIN.
