My husband and I had a wonderful lunch for his birthday. We enjoyed our complimentary tasting with our lunch booking. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. When came to food, it was packed with unreal flavours, beautifully presented, high quality ingredients, really everything you could ask for in a meal. We both had the wine pairing, each beautifully complimenting the matching course. A lovely few hours spent at Cullen's.thank you.

If you've got a time machine, this place used to be great about 10 years ago. Jump on in and go visit. If not, do yourself a favour and skip the overpriced Malbec. Yep, Malbec. ️

We ordered two bottles of wine, and that took a long time as their staff were just very uninterested. I was trying to get their attention, standing at the counter but everybody was ignoring me. The Italian man who served me at the counter in the end had a very distasteful look on his face. We are a group of 5 adults (1 female and 4 white men) - so maybe because I’m Asian hence there’s was no basic courtesy being extended.

We were got a takeaway bottle but never again. There’s loads of other good winery in Margaret River.

Asian people, please avoid this place. They certainly made me feel unwelcomed.

Amazing wines! We had the $30 tasting (redeemable on wine purchase). Every single wine we had was amazing. Margarita served us and walked us through all the wines thoroughly and answered all our questions. 100% recommend Cullen wines if you’re visiting the Margaret River region!

Cristian was absolutely amazing, he was insanely informative and a great host. He was passionate about his job and a pleasure to speak to. The wine was beautiful and smooth.

My expectations were set high on coming to Cullen Wines, as it has long been a wine brand that I have held in high esteem. So high, that we decided to book the lunch tasting menu whilst we were there to ensure that we could enjoy these wines to the max as we thought positive that this would be a fantastic fine dining experience. But instead we left with a bad taste in our mouths from the underwhelming service, average food and badly presented wines we found at our cellar door experience.

Given that we had experienced Wildflower in Perth only days prior with an excellent experience at a similar price point, this is where we had a WA benchmark in our heads, but alas, Cullen came no where near.

Almost every element of our seating required a lot of waiting, and we even booked outside the peak lunch hour, and after a bit of an awkward wait at the restaurant entrance we were finally seated a a rustic picnic table on the balcony.

To start our meal they first gave us a terrible pet nat (trying to sell it as the kombucha of wines), swapped for a very flat and badly oxidated 2009 Sparkling that belonged down the sink, but the staff didn’t seem to believe our sentiment. The snacks to start were not a choice that really added value either.

The scallops were ok, very subtle in flavour but the Sav Blanc was matched well, we got two vintages of Chardonnay served with the fish of the day which was also just ok, followed by the dessert & a late harvest chenin blanc which was probably the best part of the meal which I normally wouldn’t go for.

All in all, I probably wouldn’t go back unless I hear that things change drastically on site as the experience just wasn’t at the level you’d expect for the price point they command. Their neighbours are doing it much better and they should probably visit other cellar doors to pick up on some hospitality tips & hints.

Jimena was a genius! We really enjoy talking with her and the hole experience that we lived there.
Ask for her if you are going there, we will back for sure!

Jimena was a real Whiz at our wine tasting at Cullen's today. Her cheerful personality combined with her knowledgeable and very interesting presentation was very impressive. Thank You Jimena.

We had the most beautiful lunch here today for my mums birthday. The staff were welcoming and had amazing knowledge of the wines and local produce. In particular Catalina (sommelier) and the second sommelier as well ad the front of house staff. As a chef from Melbourne I could not recommend Cullen's more for a beautiful experience and a delicious lunch. Can't wait to come back when I'm next in WA!

Always enjoyable to dine at Cullen. Not our first visit and won't be our last. Especially grateful for their ability to work around my dietary requirements.

I have just left their winery and out of all experiences I had across NSW, SA and WA it was the most disappointing customer service.
On a Saturday close to 12pm there was only one staff serving 2 groups. It took him 5 minutes to note me there and give a tasting menu. It took him another good amount of time to accommodate me on a bench, in a space that was always there and he def could have done that before.
He simply asked for the first wine I’d have, poured and turned his back.
When I asked if he had any info to share about the wine he was ‘I’m busy with the other group, it’s just myself here today’.
It’s unacceptable that there is only 1 person serving on a weekend and that person has no people skills. Such a shame since that was the winery I was most excited to visit and planned to spend good hundred dollars with them.

Not very impressed about the cellar door experience. We had high expectation for Cullen, but the winery was busy and the service was not great. The people at the cellar door also did not have much wine making knowledge comparing to other cellar doors. Most of the time they were reciting from the information sheet. Maybe such average experience impacted out judgement, we didn't find it's wines up to our initial expectation except the Diana.

We visited few days ago for tasting, felt like we were just inconvenience to the guy that was serving us. We have never received treatment like that before. We brought 1 bottle of wine and took our business elsewhere. We have drank Cullens wines for years.

Nice view of the vines and one of our picks for best wines in Margaret River.
If you like eco friendly wine this should be your pick.

Super lovely lunch. Thanks. Wines are truely lovely and really well matched to the delicious food.

Don’t know why you would give this place 1 stars like some, that seems ridiculous.

We shared a delicious 3 cheese platter and a couple of red wines. Great service and cosy atmosphere.

My family and i went to Cullens a few years ago and found it lovely. We went recently and actually found it quite appalling. It’s so sad because we once loved it there. The waitstaff were extremely arrogant and rude and to be honest, just seemed annoyed at our presence. I politely checked on my glass of wine since it had been a good solid 20 minutes since i ordered it and was only received with a repulsed look by the lady serving us. Our family felt completely judged and shouldered upon.

Not to mention the food took a long time to be served despite the fact that there were barely three other tables in the restaurant. This did not bother me much, though, because i remember the food being amazing. But then, to my surprise, came our meal which was quite disappointing. It was also extremely expensive for the food quality.

Overall, the service was the most disappointing -especially the grumpy lady that was serving us. Seen as we payed so much for our meal i would expect to be served much better. Extremely disappointed.

We had a lovely tasting experience at the cellar door with Catalina who took the time to explain the different wines at Cullen and their organic and biodynamic philosophy. She was great fun to chat with and very knowledgeable. Thanks for a great experience!
