Coventry Pavilion reviews
30Very busy place. Had to wait for food for long time, bit annoyed as we were very hungry. Manager Bidi was super friendly, she listened to us and made us feel comfortable, charming, attentive and organised food asap! Amazing customer service. Food was very yummy. Great music and great place to hang out.
Must say some pretty good Woodfire pizza not oily and well cooked! The service was and friendly staff!
Went here for the Thursday night oysters, arrived at 6: 30pm and they had already sold out. Ordered the sizzling seafood and everything was incredibly overcooked and under seasoned, ordered the octopus and was told after 30minutes of waiting that they had run out and I could choose anything else off the menu, went for the steak option and instead of giving me a full portion I got about half of what my brother got on his plate. At the time the venue was very understaffed also and the waiters were definitely having a terrible night from the looks on all their faces.
I definitely will not be returning.
Went on a Monday at 2pm. Only 1 other table of people. I ordered most of the dishes from the “share” menu. The chicken wings looked amazing but had no taste at all, just bland. The same with the whiting bucket. The fish was super dry. Shoe string fries were cooked to the point of no return. It was like eating shedded cardboard. Pork belly bao buns were nice. So was the Baked brie and bread. We also got the 24hr smoke pork pizza and that was ok. All in all, the venu is beautiful the food is ok. I’m not sure if it’s the lack of fresh meat and fish or if they just need to and more seasoning. I Don’t think I will be back!
I have been here so many times and the food has been amazing. So when it was my birthday last night, there was no choice but this place.
I made a large group booking two weeks in advance and they were not prepared. So many items were sold out. Most of my guests did not enjoy their food. I got my favourite the sizzling seafood and there was no squid and it wasn’t cooked with garlic and chilli like it should have and tasted so bland and unenjoyable. I then got pork belly bites and they were dry and chewy.
I am so disappointed! I thought so highly of this place. When it’s quiet they’re great, when they’re busy they’re awful!
Asked for a Balter on special and the manager told me the special was over when it literally says it was on special on their screen. I told him this and he said he "would do it for me". OK thanks
Great local pub with decent weeknight specials and a broad range of local craft beers on tap. Would be good if they had more healthy sides available for purchase.
Mixed bag first time trying Coventry pavilion last night, my thoughts below
Big pub with loads of seating and good vibe but some things missing mark
Great cocktails, delicious chips, Pizzas looked great!
We had the sizzling seafood and prawns and fish were great, squid over cooked and slipper lobster was so tiny it was pointless being there.
Tri tip was a disaster so overcooked and chewy lacking seasoning and flavour.
Overall I think they are trying to do to much, with half the menu restaurant style dishes but not executed well, perhaps they best sticking to pub Style and Pizzas.
Would go back again for $10 espresso Martini on Friday but stick with Pizzas and the super yummy sumac chips
Excellent friendly place with a bright smile. Service was excellent, food was well presented overall good place for any occasion for all ages. The decor of the restaurant is varied, making it far from boring old pubs. Thankfully, I found the place hidden from view not where you might think it is. Having been to the market for many years, never thought it was open, so check it out because you won't be disappointed
The atmosphere are nice, but there’s a little bit slow of food serving even though not busy. Food average, small portion.
Ordered spicy chicken wings as a snack but was a full meal and very tasty. Live music was great so a perfect chill for a couple of hours.
I don't think I've ever had a worse meal in my life, no idea what they did to the ribs to make them taste this bad. People I went with weren't impressed either.
Love, love, love! Went here with some friends for lunch yesterday. Wow! Absolutely delicious and as a coeliac, super happy with the food. There was not even a crumb when we left. Great food, great venue
Friendly staff.
Brilliant location.
Good prices.
Huge venue with multiple seating options.
Delicious food.
Kids pizza was fantastically presented.
Bloody Mary oyster shots, were the best of ever had, and a good price.
Great tap and wine selection!
Definitely keen to come back.
Yesterday we had dinner over there, we were very disappointed, because the skewer was burned and lemon lime biter taste is like only lemonade, many times we were there for dinner but this is the first time, very disappointed. Another family coming with us for the first time they told the lemon lime biter is not taste, then our gust went to complained the reception but they told they did a correct mixing, anyway it was very disappointed.
Great decor and drink selection, my partner and i went there ordered 4 starters and could not finish any of them as they were disgusting croquettes oily, not crispy, pork belly dry no crackle, sliders meat was all gristly, currently at home feeling very gross!
After reading reviews seems like 8 months ago they were doing good, last couple of months pretty average reviews.new staff or management?
Went there for my fathers birthday meal as read some decent reviews we were a party of 11 and spent around $450 with drinks and meals. Steak, chicken and ribs were good however mashed potato was Deb potato and no one on the table ate it and king snapper was really bad and tasted rancid. On informing the waiter who went into the kitchen and then returned saying the chef said it wasn’t even though four people smelt it or tried it on our table and one who was a chef spat it out we were told basically too bad and refused the money back for one meal even though we spent a decent amount of money there. Staff were trying however management very obviously did not care and it was the poorest customer service I have experienced in many years in Perth. I will not go back and certainly will not recommend to anyone I know to go there.
We had a table of 6 for dinner Saturday night.
The atmosphere was buzzing and the socceroos were on the big screen.
My wife linda ordered the shoulder lamb and I ordered the chicken chargrilled. Both dishes were delicious
The service was friendly and very quick.
We've been here twice this month. I'm hooked here now.
Well done owners and staff
We ordered a selection of sharing food.pretty average.most seem to have come from the freezer. Frozen prawns on pizza. No oysters and had run out of something else that we wanted. This is 6pm on a Friday! We asked for more sauce and they said we couldn't have any! I won't be rushing back but friends said they enjoyed their meal.
Totally disorganised! Ordered oysters to be told while waiting for them that there were none available. Ordered a beautiful glass of prosecco and went to order another one, to be told they had run out. My partner had ordered a pizza and ate it while I was still waiting for my ploughman's board.which was not worth $39! Not going back.
