Core Cider reviews
73 Amazing! What a gorgeous place to visit on a lazy weekend away.
Thank you to Chef for the hello and for our most beautifully presented and droolworthy meals & desserts. We went with his recommendations and were absolutely blissed out.
Telling everyone we know to go and visit!
Setting is beautiful, cider is ordinary and food is poor. We waited well over an hour for our order and when I asked for a take away container because we were no longer hungry, the staff refused any assistance.
Our meals were perfect. A mixture of braised beef, duck, fish and pork belly. Couldn't be happier and looking forward to our next visit. Perth is the richer for having such a fine place in the hills.
Bistro food below average and disappointing for a set menu. The pork was flavorless, served with artichoke and puree felt like it should of had more, even the crackling was dry and unsalted. The karaage chicken was just OK and nothing special. The service was terrible, came on the long weekend only one server and no one helping, other tables including ours had to go to bar to get waitress as she was only doing one table at a time. We were never asked how our meal was, I would of been honest then if I were asked, and then be charged the surcharge for such a disappointing meal. Wouldn't recommend set menu or food. Good spot for a drink in the beer garden
The restaurant is amazing, great view and loads of things for kids but the actual restaurant is a waste of money, we ordered two kids meals totalling 50 dollars for small burgerless burgers and bland tenders, the main dishes and entrees are good but not for the price, this place is great for a couple but not for a family of more then 4.
Great place, service very good, good choice of food from 2 or 3 meal options. I was a bit surprised to see you had no non alcoholic beer or wine available considering Gage Roads has a non alcoholic beer. You only offered very sweet non alcoholic drinks. Its a reasonable drive to get there for not catering for skipper. Something it think about. Did have an enjoyable experience thank you.
Looked lovely location but despite closing being 4pm we were told at 3.25pm that they could not offer us anything to drink as they were closing at 4pm? ! So a very disappointed drive out.
Fantastic venue. Gardens are excellent. Yep, that's about it. Oh, the staff were helpful too. The food was unmemorable. Can't recommend any of the ciders. (Have now written to the email address as per the owner's invitation below.)
Went to Core Cider for lunch the food was delicious. The staff were amazing and I loved the atmosphere. I would highly recommend coming here.
A lovely place for lunch and had Barry cider very refreshing
$40 for two lunch and drinks,
Fantastic views and family friendly. Relaxed vibes but the flies were INSANE lol but a beautiful afternoon with the family
Beautiful place to relax in the sun. Came on 21/01/2023- Amazing accoustic singing from the hat man! Only request…. Music should have been louder ;)
The restaurant and the grounds were beautiful, the service friendly and quick. The lunch meals came in 2- or 3- course sets. Based on what the group ordered, I liked the Core Grazer for entree and the lamb for Mains. We ordered the tasting paddle which was good value as most of our 6 (+2kids) -member group didn't drink alcohol.
Overall a very nice experience. We had made reservations many months ahead, otherwise, there was no chance to have a meal here during the Christmas season.
Came for lunch few mistakes, but was fixed in 2 seconds, food was super quick and very tasty, we had 1 of all the pizzza’s great atmosphere and very family friendly, highly recommended, quick food doesn’t normally go well, but they served it all and it was excellent.
The location and facilities are fantastic and the staff friendly but unfortunately that is where it stops.
We brought tourists here today and were very disappointed with the food at the Cider garden. The pizze are not pizza but flatbread with tons of sauce and a ketchup base. Our margarita had tomatoes that were most definitely off. The nachos had no inkling of real cheese but that fake American squeeze cheese.
The menu has no healthy options for adults or kids either.
A highlight was the fresh apple slushies.
This establishment has so much potential but the quality of the food needs to up its game given what is on often around Perth.
Won't be back in a hurry unfortunately.
Always worth the trip from Perth, Tractor rides and Animal farm always there in the school holidays great playground, excellent food and a little something for the adults that aren't driving
We recently had our wedding at Core Cider and we could not have been happier with the day! Core was the first wedding venue we looked at, and as soon as we visited we knew we wanted to have it there. Absolutely stunning location, good indoor/outdoor options, and had the laid back atmosphere we were after. Being able to have the ceremony, photos and reception in the one location was a huge positive for us. We also stayed on site at the Sundowner Cottage which made life even easier again!
We had our ceremony at the dragonfly ponds which is a picturesque setting, and then opted for a cocktail style reception in the Harvest Room. It was a great sized space for our party, and the food was excellent. Lots of ciders on tap also, and a good selection of beers and wine.
Lauren the Event Manager was great to work with in the lead up and on the day. Everything went to plan and she was very helpful and accommodating. We had an amazing day and would highly recommend Core Cider as a wedding/event venue.
Always a beautiful experience no matter the weather. Delicious vegan options. I had the vegan nachos, miso aubergine and some sorbet. Partner had calamari, pork belly and the apple tart. Served up with delicious cider straight from the orchard. Core always delivers!
Great chilled ambience and although it was super busy there was still plenty of room in the garden area to chill with a cider and pizza. Perhaps go early to get yourself the best shady spots though
Excellent location overlooking the orchard in the valley. Good choices in the set menu. All of the dishes were well presented and liked by our table of 6. We went for the two course, choosing one entre and one dessert to share with my wife and one main each wich was more than enough. Very friendly and attentive staff.
