I took my knives (5) in to be sharpened and asked the lady if she was experienced as they were very expensive and was assured she knew what she was doing. Upon arriving home i discovered that she had butchered them, leaving them with a lip on one side, uneven and blunt. Returned the next day (with the knives) and asked for a refund ($60) and was refused without a receipt. She said she knows how much i paid but she wasnt going to refund it without the receipt.
I would discourage anyone from taking anything to this place for them to butcher.
Disgusting work and disgusting customer service.

Thus has been my'go to' key cutting & shoe repair vendor for years, until i was 'served' by a rude tattoed woman. 'served' is a loose term i use, as it was a display of how not to deal with customers both in actions and the language used.these places are a dime a dozen and i shall be taking my business elsewhere, straight after obtaining my refund for a job they stuffed up in the first place.the two stars are for the other staff who have been pleasant to deal with over the years, but avoid the rude tattooed woman if you see her at the counter

This business is poorly run and lacks expertise. He couldn't shorten my mum's watch by removing pins and links from the steel band. He couldn't even provide a replacement shorter band.

I took in my step-daughters dance shoes to get a rubber grip out on the soles. At the time I wasn’t sure if I needed the sole and head done. I mentioned this to the young lady behind the counter, I was told that if I had any problems to bring them back.
The young lady put the rubber grip on the soles of the shoes which cost me $30 - when she told me how much I was taken back at how much it was as I can get a brand new pair of shoes with the grips already on for $33. But I went ahead with it anyway as they needed to be done.
A few days later I found out the shoes needed the heels done with the grip so I took them back. This time there was an older man who was very rude to me about the shoes and that I will have to take it up with the girl who served me - his customer service was very poor.
Today I went back to talk to the same girl however this time it was a different lady - I explain the situation about the shoes and was told it was going to cost me extra. I was never told this the first time and thought it was covered in the first cost seeing as it was a high price. I told the lady that I’m not paying extra as it’s way to expensive and that I could buy a new pair for less then that, and I was told by the First Lady that served me that I could come back - the shoes are now useless and can’t be used - the lady said to me “Well! That’s your problem” I found this incredibly rude.
I left the store angry and discussed of how I was treated. I am now left with having to buy a new pair of shoes for my step-daughter, and have had my time and money waisted.
I am still taken back by the way they talk to customers and I’m surprised they are still in business with the ridiculous price it was for just the soles of these shoes.
I will be spreading the word that Cobbler express in midland are over priced and don’t know what good customer service is.
I am now out of pocket $30 for the old shoes and now another $35 for a new pair - I was thinking that it would save me money going with the old pair of shoes but it’s just cost me even more.

I had the battery replaced on my waterproof guess watch on the weekend and now the watch doesnt work anymore. They hadn't screwed the back on tight enough so it obviously got water in it and it stopped working. I could even undo the back with my fingers. NOT HAPPY, Never again.

I have no issues with these guys personally, im sure they run a good business.

BUT BE WARNED.do not give them anything to engrave. They engraved a personal item i was giving to a colleague and absolutely ruined it. They obviously do it by hand and do not have proper equipment to achieve a professional finish. The work was shabby at best and looked like something that a primate etched onto a cave wall.

I am sure they are good at other things.but be warned DO NOT give them anything to engrave if you value quality and how the person you give it to may think of you when they see the engraving quality.

Low Grade service for engraving, be warned.
