Clancy's Fish Pub reviews
64 2 overcooked prawns and you call that a shared plate! I call that taking the piss!
Decided to eat elsewhere after receiving that. What an absolute joke!
Good feeds, great service and nice atmosphere.
Would give 5 stars but the only down side is the kids meals come with a glass of juice, not a juice box.not ideal for an 18 month old.juice everywhere and a sad thirsty child. Luckily no smashed glass everywhere.
Staff are all fantastic and friendly, food is consistently good. The prawn tacos are my favourite
Food is always good. Beer selection varies. Not the cheapest place to go. They welcome dogs in the outside area.
Decided to get Uber eats as last time really enjoyed the fish
However this time the meal was terrible
The batter soggy the fish grey.and chewy the chips cold obviously had been reheated the only fresh item was the lemon
Went over the weekend. The place was not busy which was nice. Service was quick and neat. The downside is that the portion keep getting smaller and smaller over time.
Got the pork lollipops. The caramel sauce was delicious, pity was not enough on 1 of the lollies. Wish I had more sauce!
The seafood platter was rather small for 37 dollars as well as the kid's fish and chips (half of a regular fish and which by the way we didn't got the drink nor the entertainment pack. So too pricey for 15 bucks)
Went along with a couple of mates, had some good beers on tap, to start had some entrees such as garlic herb bread, and side of fries which were really good, but i was excited when i saw my mates burger, so i ordered the triple cheese burger and boy was i not disappointed!
Decent seafood platter for the price.
The sauce for the chilli muscles was wonderful. The other components were tasty especially squid and prawns.
A nice slaw as well
Great evening on Friday night. Sam was a pleasure; friendly, engaging and just pure vibes. And also knew what she was talking about, absolutely loved the grenache she suggested
Great community feel, mixed generational patrons and good pub grub. Parking at certain times is the only difficulty.
Absolutely beautiful place, exceptional staff, and harmonious environment.highly recommended to anyone who enjoys a good meal and cold beer.
Great spot for a casual tea. Cold beer and good menu. Gets noisy inside but outside tables are okay outside of peak afternoon traffic. Friendly and helpful staff. Park on the other side of the highway and walk over the pedestrian bridge, or catch the train and walk up.
Our favourite local. Amazing food, great selection of beer and wine but most importantly dog people. Always go above and beyond to make our fur children welcome.
Decent beer selection on tap and the food is excellent! Fish and chips are always good and the non seafood options are great. Also has a nice atmosphere
Great vibes, great live music and great $5 taco deals on Wednesday. Only downfall was quantity of food, I ordered the crab linguine and it was tiny.for $28 too.
The chicken taco was great
Crumbed squid really lacked flavour
It's been over a decade since my last below average experience to a Clancy's, but co venience and extreme hunger drew me to one yesterday. Clancy's adopts the 'find a table, order at food bar, order at drinks bar' restaurant model. One of my least favourite, because you end up over ordering to avoid queueing later. Nevertheless, I had the Seafood Laksa, which tasted good but was more of a soup than anything. My companion ordered her desert at the same time as her main and received both at the same time. Timing wasn't very good. In summary. It's OK! A good OK.
Went to the quiz night, they had a screen showing the questions and put a table right in front of it with people sitting there so you couldn't read the screen.
Just ordered Grilled Snapper & Chips for myself and the Squid for my girlfriend. The squid is nice but the fish is horrendous. Took 40 minutes for food to prepare and came out cold. The snapper is thin, tiny for it's cost and was grossly overcooked/dry. Very disappointing for the price point and the name "Fish Pub".
Awesome spot, food tasty, generous serves, staff nice, tidy fun decor. Clear great value specials, other than ordering food and drinks in different spots which can sometimes make things take a little longer, no complaints. Quiz night Mondays are a highlight. Wouldn't hesitate to plan a group meal here.
