Civic Hotel reviews
53 Good for a few beers. Decent size open area out back with bench seating. Counter meals are ok. They are cheaply priced so cant complain.
Staff are pretty friendly here too.
An older man approached me asked to take a photo of me in a creepy manner, I obviously said no and then he went on to say “at least I asked”. We went and told security as I felt extremely un comfortable and im pretty sure he did take photos of me when I wasn’t looking. Security did nothing didn’t kick them out or anything, then one of the guys I was with went up to them and he asked them to leave and then security KICKED MY FRIEND OUT FOR DOING WHAT SECURITY SHOULDVE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE! Absolutely disgusting they didn’t care what had happened to me at all only the girl at the bar did of course because she’s a female!
Great bar. Spacious beer garden with smoking and no smoking. Quite reasonable prices. Awesome Bands play live Friday nights in the Den. I would highly recommend civic hotel and the den, Especially when bands are playing.
Great bar. Great service. For me it was good as I have anxiety so went during the day and was quiet and pleasant. Has a TAB if you fancy a punt. Lots of live and local acts etc.
There's a great atmosphere at The Civic. The staff and the locals are very friendly. I love having a pint and playing a game of pool here.
Great little place on Beaufort street. Perfect for a bite to eat or to have a drink with mates. They also have a really great live music scene! There's plently of parking out back, clean bathrooms and an atm inside.
The Civic has always had so much potential. Watched The Torpedoes play in the back area. Band was great and drinks are well priced. Venue itself is a bit tired. Haven't eaten here.
Great range of very cheap drinks - great for a drinking session with simple drinks. The food is cheap, fairly standard fare. An easy one to do without breaking the bank.
Nice bar area, with hall provisions for events, a very retro vibe when I visited. Gets very crowded over weekends.
Had great time at live music gig. Felt food service was slow esp since I just ordered fries for the kids. Having Pirate Life on tap a definite treat.
Went there for an 80s concert on a Saturday night and found the access points to the main stage was very limited in space. We were waiting in line for an hour and the queue didn't move during that time. There were over 200 people waiting in the room that was built to fit 50 comfortably. There were also not enough staff at the bars or checking tickets. The show was great but the waiting was quite frustrating. The Civic was not a big enough venue for that volume of customers.
Went to see the Belts perform at the civic Hotel and was stoked that the kitchen was still open at 10: 30/11pm!
A great place to relax. I love the pizza. I always get excited to eat it after work. The staff are also very friendly.
