I love this venue, many good times here, but the food absolutely rubbish, I wouldn't waste my hard earned money on good here ever again. Great place for a beer, music ect, but don't waste your time or money on the food

Your below average pub. I ordered a beer and chips. The beer had almost no gas and the chips (that took 45 minutes to come) gave me a terrible indigestion, I suspect either the aioli was bad or the oil in which they fry them. I had a good look at the kitchen and the bar area and I reckon they could do better in keeping things clean and tidy to avoid giving people food poisoning.
Toilets were a bit filthy and smelly, I hope the kitchen staff don't use the same toilets than patrons!
On the positive: Great ambience in the front patio and friendly staff. I wouldn't go back.

It's a quiet little pub with live music and a pleasant atmosphere. There's 2 beer gardens and a games room. It's not really my thing but if you're into pub culture it's definitely worth checking out.

Unbelievably the management consider it to be ok to kick people off tables 1/2 hour before a reservation despite the fact that it was made clear that we would be leaving before the reservation time listed on the table. We had also discussed this with the people who had the reservation too. Apparently they have a 1/2 hour "grace period" that somehow means the curent people need to leave so the staff can clean the table of our 4 glasses! Pathetic move Civic. We politely but will need to reconsider whether we ever go back despite the convenience. Thanks Hannah - well played. Hope your new clients were impressed with you moving us on.

Plenty of parking. Food good and reasonably priced. Open fire in Winter. Staff always friendly.

Poor cousin if compared to the Inglewood Hotel. Should take advantage of its potential. A start would be to be more consistent with the quality of its food.

Have been going for over 3 years and always a lovely pub. Never too busy and packed. Such a cruisey place and good food! I love their new menu system. Makes ordering a drink so simple and they bring it out to your table.
Such a good place and friendly staff!

Standard of food and overall service was well below par. We went as a group of 6 on Sunday night for dinner (table 215) We were told to use the new app to order our meals, what a joke. We all did and recieved confirmation of our order but only 4 meals arrived. After about 45 minutes we approached the bar staff to find out what had happened to the remaining meal and he was completely useless and uninterested in our problem. In the end we approached the guy who was collecting glasses and he looked into this for us. The outcome, despite all 6 meals being paid for the kitchen only received 4 orders. We were refunded for 2 meals but certainly spoilt our night out and will never go to the Civic again. The overall standard of the meal was absolutely terrible and close to the worst food we have ever had.

Honestly not a bad pub but poor management. Had jugs of swan for $14 for grand final. Ordered one 5 mins before bounce down and got charged $22. Apparently it was from siren to siren but the bar staff were happy to keep that to themselves

We had a large group on a Sunday and the staff were extremely accommodating. The pizzas are excellent value, sport on tv, live bands and good selection of drinks.

Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and very generous for the price. The pub is great value too. The staff and manager are very attentive and friendly. They really want to make sure you are comfortable and will go out of their way to make your time an enjoyable one. Will definitely stay again without hesitation.

Grateful live music venue.
Has that old feel from the 70s & 80s.
Not many venues left like this.
Great atmosphere.
Great pub.

We had a function at the Civic last Saturday. The service Peter gave was amazing! Very professional, efficient and absolutely no ask was a bother. The bar service we received from Amberley was also incredible, she was so helpful and we felt like she was part of the party! Thank you so much for a memorable birthday celebration, the Civic, staff and the atmosphere was one of the easiest and best experience we have had. We will be back!

It really is not a pretty place but they have the best assortment of talented, local musos and bands, want to hear and see some of the best original bands in perth this is the place

Fair priced alcohol, decent drink specials, great happy hour prices, AFL games and the junk that's called food these days is OK. Better than one or two along the same road anyway which charge 20% or more and serve the same slop.

Within 10 minutes of walking in with our children (at around 4pm in the afternoon), we were told by the bar manager that "it's a pub, not a creche" and to "keep them quiet". We only stayed for one drink, within which time the pub-not-a-creche line was repeated to us by the bar manager. He really went out of his way to make sure we knew we were not welcome. Our group had 5 adults and 6 kids, and we spent hundreds of dollars between us on dinner and drinks at Cecchi's on the next block instead, who were friendly and accommodating. The Civic is now completely off my radar now, will never spend my money there again. I would highly advise not attending this venue if you want to take your kids along.

Good place for a few drinks. Not expensive. They have a good bar menu sliders, pizza and more. Specials also throughout the week.
