Very nice morning, not too busy, awesome conversion of a petrol station to cafe! Love it! Chicken a waffles, an American fav with an Asian twist. Very nice, mocha was nice, the teapot and cup gave us a smile. Birthday boy and his birthday breaky. We were there 9am-1030am Sunday, it was getting a little crowded around 1030.
Awesome breaky I want to go back.

Terrible service but excellent food. We waited 1 hour to only be told our orders were forgotten & then after 1 hour and 45 minutes we were served our food. We had to move tables outside in the rain/cold with a newborn baby in the pram when our food was finally ready. After we complained about the length of time to wait for food only then the owner came over to discuss the concerns of which she was extremely rude saying "do you girls want to eat or what" and "Oh, don't let a human error ruin your day girls". These were very patronising comments. The food however was very delicious but the experience was ruined by bad service, a very bad owner with the wrong attitude and a very long wait (we even waited 15 minutes to be seated after making a booking for 12.30 we sat down at 12.45pm). We won't be visiting this cafe again! Other cafes deserve our visit more!

Food: 5
Experience: 1

My table of friends had a fairly disappointing experience at Chinta today and we unfortunately won't be going back.

Due to human error our order wasn't put through and it wasn't until 1 hour later when we questioned where our meals were that the matter was looked into. We were informed it was 5 minutes away but 15 minutes later it still wasn't here. We overheard that it was not put through, so brought it up with the waitress and only then were we apologised to & informed it was just 5 minutes away and offered a round of drinks (which we declined in lieu of a discount).
Time passed - 1hr 45min since arriving, still no food, and we were asked to move to an outside table as the table we were at was part of the high tea area. We were questioning this with the waitress when the owner came over, apologising but basically kicking us out "the person who made the Facebook booking knew this area needed to be free by 1.30" - which would have been totally acceptable had we been served. We were spoken to in a patronising way, "would you like your meal or not? / I am finished with this conversation". All very disappointing. We did move outside (my friend had a newborn with her & it was quite cold) then it started raining.
To top it off, the table we were kicked out from was not used for customers but for a decorative vase and some teapots.

Shout out goes to the chefs because our food was really tasty.

I hope moving forward Chinta are more transparent if issues arrive. We would have enjoyed our time had they acknowledged the error right away and asked us if we were happy to wait a while longer.

Really nice brunch and reasonably priced. Dined. Very small kids menu but the main menu easily suits children. Some out there good options that actually work really well together. Would recommend.

Amazing food. Amazing coffee. Great service. Lovely atmosphere and pretty shop inside. Loved it. Parking is a pain but just plan to park down a side street and walk.

Amazing interior and atmosphere. A must visit place for a coffee or a meal. I dropped in for a quick coffee this week (first visit) and will be bringing the wife along next time.

A great place for asian inspired breakfast or western tastes. Fresh juice, good coffee or a cheeky Bloody Mary or orange champagne thingy. Staff are welcoming and service is great. Parking can be a bit scarce if it's busy.

My friend told me Chinta was a hella good place to get a toe massage went in and I don’t know what he was talking about. Lots of waitresses kept asking me to put my shoes back on and that you eat the avocado not use it to heal the cracks in my feet. How am I meant to know that?

This place goes off. Very popular. There is a wait time.
Asia in one place. Bali, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam all mixed in. Over crowded as restaurants go with the decor but it adds to the vibe. Old toy cars, trinket shop with a market feel and deli mixed up.

My first negative was the door service. I had pre-booked. Waited patiently for the lady to service others waiting before me, before being overlooked and others that that just came to the door were seen to. I was looking straight at her. In front view can't miss me.
I don't need much other than I will be with you shortly acknowledgement and I didn't get anything. I want straight to my husband and got him to get our table. Very disappointed.

We love our food and this place is definitely ticking boxes for that with most of us very happy with our food.

At the we got kindly asked to leave. They needed it for Hi-Tea, which is highly popular and there were no more tables available. We were put out but because we had pre booked. It was for only 2 hours. The 4 of us left.

Our friends want to try the Hi-Tea, I personally wouldn't bother because service is so important and first impressions is not favorable. I felt they aren't interested in giving service to everyone equally. Though it would be interesting to see if it's just that day or something that happens often.

Great venue with excellent food and oustanding service.

There is a great mix of dishes, that will cater for everybodies tastebuds. For example we ordered the big breakfast, nasi goreng, double cheeseburger, crab linguine and chips for the kids.

The coffee is quick and delicious.

The setting and service is amazing.

There is very limtted parking, so get there early.

A great day out!

Usually really like this place but the staff cannot be bothered and it’s SO obvious. Every single time I leave with that overwhelming feeling. Today topped it off though. After calling to confirm the closing time of the cafe, I was told last coffees were served at 3.30pm. We ventured out (a decent drive from where we live) and arrived shortly after 3pm to be told that the coffee machine was off and to find staff packing everything away. Not good enough. Would think twice about returning.

Update 05/05: tried this place again today and I think it’s the final straw. The wait time to be served was absolutely ridiculous and when we finally ordered, (from what was on display), we were told that we couldn’t have what we had chosen because it contained meat and had been sitting out all day. Why on earth would you keep it on display as an option then? We also had a bottle of water sitting on our table for 30mins without any glasses. When our coffees finally came out.they were totally wrong. This cafe is trying to do too much all at once. The staff are flustered and the atmosphere is hectic and unpleasant. The quest to grab the most money possible has certainly overtaken the quality of service provided.

When you want to slow down and have a quiet meal with gentle service and an eclectic menu, this is the place to go.

Parking is absolutely at a premium during peak times, with many restrictions on the side streets, so share a car, walk or take a cab.

Chinta Cafe is a very relaxing and cozy place. They have wide range of food and drinks to choose from. Though I find it a bit pricey but those we ordered were all yummy and the presentation was superb. I would suggest that you call them first for reservation to guarantee seat/s as they are quite busy. I was so in love with the place as I am a plant lover. It has plenty of plants and statues. You will feel that you are in Thailand or the like. The ladies' toilet is very clean and impressive. They accept cash and card as payments.

Food was good here and the decor is eclectic but still very nice to sit in. I enjoy all the plants around the place. I always enjoy Indonesian food. This place is on the pricier side, but presentation is done well.

Lovely place to go, table booking are available too, nice and spacious, just needs to be more attentive to customers, as the bifold doors are mostly open, it can either get really hot, or really cold.

Very disappointed, you would not think that a simple cappuccino would be hard to mix up, but after waiting a very, very long time to be given a latte and then another good 15-20 minutes for me to enquire about my coffee, I was not happy, finally got it but then I had to leave. Basically they couldn't have given a hoot! Never again!

Very tasty Avo Smash with Pesto. So fresh and full of flavour. Fantastic unique venue and great staff. Recommend booking as it is very popular. Really interesting menu selection too.

We went to Chinta Cafe for high tea. The food was very generous and delicious. They had free flowing tea including English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Peppermint, Lemongrass and Ginger and two types of sparkling tea including apple and apple and blackcurrant. They also offer coffee and hot chocolate.
They cater for all sorts of dietary requirements such as vegetarian and vegan and also have a sugar free option available. You can also make it a sparkling high tea for a bit extra.
The staff were very friendly and the ambiance was great. There is also a little gift shop attached which is a nice touch.
