Cheynes Beach Caravan Park reviews
56Thankyou GDay Park at Cheynes Beach. We had a marvellous 2 night stay at your well run Park, service, cleanliness, organised and great weather made it picture perfect. Carmen at Front Desk was very helpful and Takeaway Cafe were extremely friendly.
Beautiful place. Caravan park is very clean and tidy. The staff are unbelievably friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be back.
Another Fantastic family holiday at Cheynes beach, customer service from the ladies at front desk and shop was top notch, always smiling and happy.my 3 stars however is due to the "manager" whom fined us $42 late exit from our stay.we had 3 families staying together, we were to leave on the Monday the others paid till the Tuesday.unfortunately for us the two families staying longer were called Monday morning (approx 9-10am) to advise there kids were "close contacts" to a covid case in the wheatbelt.
This created quite a bit concern and stress and they proceeded to pack up to make the 6 hour drive home, I assisted my friends and family as they had further to drive.
So 2 families left a night early and didn't ask for a refund, the manager approached us at 12 to advise i would be paying extra for late leave.we tried to explain the situation but his only comment was we should have come and told him the scenario and "maybe" something could have been arranged.here we were trying to do the right thing, packing up the 2 families notified as being close contact and remove them from any contact at the park, and leaving my camp till last.
Anyways only reason for posting as I hope the manager has a moment to reflect and possibly reimburse the unreasonable and un-Australian fee.
Cheynes beach is still a ripping caravan park and a family favourite of ours, we will definitely be back.
Cheers
matt
Disgusting treatment by Cheynes - they did not communicate G'day parks discount of $44 with a booking to be paid in full prior to arrival (yet if I arrived outside the peak period then I could pay on arrival and the discount would have been applied) and then refused to refund the applicable discount as they are 'contractually not obliged to'. Whatever happened to good ol' customer service who does the right thing instead of falling back on a contractual response? Like Bremer Bay Caravan Park that applied a refund for overpayment of a child without even being asked.
The amenities were spotless despite the Christmas crowd. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure the kitchen and bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. The sites are grassy. The food truck serves delicious fish and chips. A small general store stocks all essentials. There was wine and beer tasting too.
We really loved this caravan park. It was well kept, good playgrounds, staff were friendly, great proximity to the beach. The food truck was yum. Cheynes beach was a great, relaxing place to go with the family!
Last time here 45yrs ago there was nothing, just bush camping. Now an excellent caravan park with brilliant facilities including disabled toilet and shower. The location is great. Checking out the food truck for dinner tonight. Level sites, many with ocean views. Don’t miss this gem. The site prices were not bad either but fill with fuel elsewhere.
First time stay but not the last for sure. What a gem of a location and caravan park! Staff are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Park itself has had some recent upgrades although the toilet block up top is not new, but still in excellent condition. Our powered site was up the hill overlooking the bay - it was perfect. Our grassed bay was a decent size too, and easily accommodated our poptop van and one 4wd. A takeaway food van onsite (only takeaway at cheynes) open til 7.30 each night during school hols. Petrol bowser (next closest is manypeaks). Evenings were pleasantly quiet, even being afl grandfinal weekend, everyone was very well behaved which was a welcome surprise (many other parks have the odd inconsiderates who think it's ok to be noisy after designated 10pm quiet time). Thoroughly enjoyed our try-out stay!
Wow. What a great park. Very clean and well manicured lawns. Great views of ocean. Fantastic friendly staff. Could not fault park. 5 stars from me.
We camped in tents the lawns and facilities are amazing the views and beaches are to die for. The staff where helpful and lovely. Thankyou so much.
Lovely little beachside park. Friendly staff, grassed sites, neat and tidy and the facilities are very clean!
Highly recommended
Great location and sites, great fishing, beautiful beaches, very clean toilet, friendly staff.
Great location and well looked after park, great amenities and staff the most helpful we have found in a caravan park. We had an accident second day of our holiday and the staff went out of their way to help us with our van and arranging storage until we could collect our van.
We will certainly be back and would highly recommend this park.
Wonderful caravan park with fantastic access to land based whale watching! Great staff and clean amenities. Cheynes is a lovely place and has great 4wding and fishing. Takeaway on weekends.
Lovely spot and very helpful staff. Clean and tidy amenities and handy & attractive location.
It was our first time here and won't be the last, absolutely stunning spot and friendly management.see you in September:)
Nice Hidden Gem in a remotet Location, Helpful Stuff. Cheyenes Beach has a wonderful Long Beach with a stunning view.
The Trailerpark ist in good shape with all what you need
Great place so close to beach. Clean facilities. Love the roos that drop by. The larger grassed sites on the edge are fab for travelling groups.
This would have to be one of the best places to stay in WA. Cooler weather in summer, good fishing, unbelievable facilities and superb staff. Love it!
I am at Cheynes Beach Caravan Park. I have a great view of the bay. The amenities are clean and the showers hot. The camp kitchen has everything that people need. The staff are friendly and helpful. The fish cleaning facility is well used. All in all a very good park in a fantastic place next to the beach and National Parks
