Cafe Royal

Been here a few times. Coffees are always great. Food generally good but not the pancakes I had today. It looked like store bought and the cream was not real cream. Came out from a can. Not good.

What a cute hidden gem. We were passing by on our way to Dunsborough and stopped here for breakfast. Reasonable prices for food and beautifully presented food.

Yesterday I sat on a seat with sugar and coffee stains, and the store was full of greasy smell of oily smoke. When a customer asked if there was any sugar, the clerk didn't want to serve the customer and told him to look for it on the table. Wow, amazing service, will never go to this store again.

Went this morning with my partner for breakfast. The iced latte was amazing and the breakfast pizza was amazing!
Service was good and fast.

This little gem near Cockburn train station is beautiful but there were a few minor issues we encountered on our visit.
Above average food but great quantity.

Beautiful teapots and cups, a little dusty and cracked
Cramp seating space.
If you sit near the window in the comfy seats like we did in the morning, you will experience too many people standing right above you waiting for their take away coffees.
Having said all that still a really good breakfast, worth a check.

We visited this place dozen times in the last 2-3 years. I always thought food is good, not great but good. My wife disagrees. She says food is not good. On Friday (April 2023) we had family breakfast and it was terrible. Food was undercooked and very badly presented. Not worth to be paid for. I feel like the place went downhill. We will not return.

I love a few beers on a Friday evening and the happy bubbly staff (mad eggs) always make the night even better.

Had coffee here today which was lovely creamy and Hot. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and smiling and very friendly - Would like to say well done to the lady manager managing the front - so happy and smiling constantly! Thanks again for the nice cappuccino x 4 for me and my freind! 10: 10

Terrible place go in for drinks with mates on good friday a man drunk out of his mind and his daughter try to start something at our table stand up to diffuse situation the guy throws his daughter and pushes another block into us a mate was recording and gets phone hit out of hand and we get kicked out because we aren't locals and get told they will get kicked out aswell walk past a hour later and they are still in there drinking horrible place won't go again

Waited for the food for more than 20 minutes they didn't even let me know it's going to take long. Finished my coffee n no food.

Great food that accommodates my fussy tummy. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff that work here.

I’m going to give to 1 star but you not even deserve 1 star.
Is there tradition in this restaurant to serve the stater after mains_
Moreover the manager need to be better attitude to deal with customers.

We enjoyed the food and drinks on offer at a function I attended supplied by cafe Royal served by Joey, Jeri and Hannah outstanding service and Cusine

Waited for 10 minute. There wasn’t even have many customer but the staff never taking the order

Got a pizza from Uber eats.and it was some chicken and mint sauce slapped onto a peice of crappie store bought stale bread with raw onion. Not even cookedWhy have pizza on the menu when it’s not even a pizza, even tho the photos clearly show beautiful oven pizzas. 1st time in my life I have called a place to complain.but I honestly could not believe what I received. When I spoke to the manager she said that’s the pizza we do. Take it up with Uber yea thanks that for that.

Staff are friendly however the burgers were too greasy, the food sat heavily in our stomachs and the chips were tasteless, we couldn't eat them. We visited because we read good reviews.unfortunately we were disappointed.

First time we had been to Cafe Royal.
Funky and fun on the inside.
We ordered Breakfast Burger, Eggs Benedict and coffees.
The food and coffee were okay, the Hollandaise sauce was a bit too sweet and overpowered the whole meal, but staff were friendly and just a nice little spot away from the hustle and bustle of Cockburn Central.

Waited 40 minutes for eggs, despite only 1 couple being there when we arrived.the people that came 20 minutes after us received there food before us. Coffee was also bitter. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend.

If it was the bearded guy would give more stars, but booked football game was told 2 leave cheering my team on do not come 2 this place especially when Frankenstein serving, chick with plastic face, she's horrid stay away!

Cafe Royal has amazing food and the Coffee is the best in Perth, they have an amazing group of staff lead by the owner Jeri and you will not get better service anywhere in Perth. Tremendous coffee and Breaky Burger and a great place for a cheap beer on the way home. Thank You Jeri and staff amazing every time I visit.
