I got a lot out of this course. Thanks so much to the teachers involved. I had already written a business plan but doing this course made me think about it in a different way and it developed into something else. Would definitely encourage people to do it too.

I found the online self paced experience really great. This was better than trying to learn and take it all in, in a live in-person class. I had the chance to re-watch and restudy and understand what exactly it took to run a business and it gave me a complete understanding of how to detail my business plan. A great way to go. Plus Serene and Nicola were a great support. I Highly recommend this approach to study, I got a lot out of it.

A very good experience! If you prefer or need a flexible schedule the online self-paced learning format these guys offer is a really nice approach. The team are all knowledgable and can provide valuable feedback, the resources provided also offer a good opportunity to explore and get across all the areas of your business giving you a strong foundation to build from.

It has been a great information sharing with Kim being very good at sharing knowledge and experience. Everyone has also been confident to share overall as well

Embarking on a career change and never having been self employed before, the Self Employment Assistance (SEA) program by Business Foundations provided a very useful introduction to all things small business. I completed the 4 week training feeling more knowledgable and supported in finding my way forward and the 9-month mentoring support ahead will be invaluable.
Our trainer Diana (Dee) has a wonderful breadth and depth of knowledge and she is a very engaging presenter.

I have been looking at starting a business for years but had no idea where to start. I found Business Foundations through research on the internet.
I booked in to do the 4 week "Self Employment Assistance" course.
The whole experience has been invaluable, really showed my what I didn't know & steered me in the right direction to get started on my business journey. It was a fast paced, fun and interactive environment.
I highly recommend anyone looking at starting a new business, to take the time to do this course, you wont regret it.

The Business Foundations Self-Employment Assistance Scheme far exceeded my expectations, the trainer we had for our December 2022 class was helpful and inspiring. We worked together as a class and developed our business plan from scratch. I originally contacted Business Foundations for a session with a business adviser. They reached out promptly and suggested that I save my money for now and apply for the Self Employment Assistance Program. I have just completed the 4 weeks of training with Dee and I am blown away. With Dee's guidance, expertise and energy, I have completed my business plan. Now I have the opportunity to apply for the 12 month Mentoring Program and receive regular sessions with my own business adviser. I highly recommend Business Foundations as they genuinely want to help people to achieve their goals.

I needed some assistance with planning my independent online business and was recommended Business Foundations.
Through their 4 week training program I have the knowledge and confidence to begin my business properly.
The classes were welcoming and reminded me more of casual workshops than anything as rigid as an educational course, Although I had an extremely busy month on top of the classes, I was able to fit in the assigned workload from the class to my schedule. I had the pleasure of learning from Diana (Dee) who was quick to the point and let her personality lead the classes.

One issue I had was respect for my identity with misgendering from both other peers and the instructor even though I had introduced myself at the beginning of the course and had my pronouns displayed during class. That part of the experience was alienating and made it difficult to get to really know the others there.

Business Foundations is a useful stepping stone into launching your independent business that I would recommend to hopeful entrepreneurs who are not afraid to have their dreams challenged and dashed across the rocks.

If you are starting a new business the SEA course is a must. Kim is a breath of fresh air. Her passion for your success is unwavering.

Before finding BF I always had this idea about starting my own business, but I could not work it out how to bring a business plan together.
The ladies at BF desk were super effective in giving me all the informations, step by step of how to get into the course.
The training course it self I received with Diana was interactive, loaded with informations, fun and it went super fast!
I started with zero knowledge in business and a lot of confusion about my project, but through the course I definitely gained so much informations that I will use all through the year to make my project happen! The course goes fast and that's why BF gives u also 6 one on one sessions to walk you through the obstacles you can find during the 12 months process. So once the training is finished you don't feel alone in this adventure! Also you can connect the other students through the FB group!

This has been an incredible experience the 7 days I have been in class have shone me how to not only make my business survive but how to expand and on myself, I would hilly recommend this course, Diana was amazing and very well informed.

The Business Foundations training led by Kim has been valuable on too many fronts to count! The discussions and prompts gave me much clarity and confidence around my business idea and what I bring to a populated market, as well as the confidence from covering all the administrative bases (taxes, structure, licenses and regulations etc.)

Perhaps equally valuable are the lessons by example in balance. The way the training is structured shows us how to be productive while respecting ourselves as humans. Kim's infectious energy and warmth shows that it's possible to be business minded while maintaining humanity, compassion and presence.

I attended the Self Employment Assistance Training in October 2022 and I had the privilege of having the amazing facilitator Diana. Having done this the second time round due to a different business, I have had the privilege of having two different facilitators who have two different techniques and honestly i'm so happy that I had Diana this time around. Diana teachings are fun, to the point, and practical for any business. She makes sure to adapt to your learning style by adding videos and presentations from other people that have a started a business through business foundations, which made it more in-depth and interesting. Diana also left time after the class to answer any questions that we needed in regards to our business plan and business.
I will definitely recommend business foundation for anyone who is starting up a business and would love the in-depth knowledge and know how on how to start it correctly.
