Bungle Bungle Caravan Park & Tour Company reviews
48Amazing sites, amazing staff extremely helpful even when we had car troubles. Nell and her co-workers were very helpful.
Fantastic place. Don’t expect luxury but you will get a authentic experience and experience some of the most amazing tours. Purnululu and Bungle Bungles are fantastic.
Smashing place to stay great facilities, excellent staff and close to the park thanks guys
If Mad Max or any other post apocalypse kind of pop culture excites you, then this is the place to stay!
Location is very close to highway, facilities are very old and tired, needs large investment. Staff on the other hand were really great, very friendly and welcoming
A very rustic feel about the place. Could do with a spruce up. Probably coming to the end of the season and staff Probably needed a break.
Loved. Super friendly staff, large sites
Not happy. No hot water in the showers
Prickels everywhere
Had to prebook before you arrived for a meal at the outside eating,
A little rugged but very friendly helpful staff. Great having somewhere to leave the van while visiting Bungle Bungles.
We had such high expectations of visiting The Bungle Bungles. We checked in on June 2nd. That night it rained.an unusual event for this time of year. The next morning our tour bus driver got us as far as Frank Crossing, which was now in flood. The park authorities then closed entry into The Bungles.we had to turn back. Miles, the caravan park manager, greeted us back at the gate and promised
to refund all of us our fees for the failed tour.
It is now 10 days later & nothing has been forthcoming. Miles & his staff have refused to accept our calls or emails.
We CANNOT recommend this caravan park and staff to any future travelers who want to do the tour into The Bungles.
This episode in our trip around OZ has been the low point of our journey.
The Food and the bar are perfect addition after a long day at the tour. We stayed in one of the safari tents - not to hot at night
Absolutely loved our 3 night stay in this bush caravan park. Friendly & helpful staff, that often put up with unneccessary rude entitled travellers. The baravan was a hoot along with funny staff. Meal was had in a great outdoor venue, we had the pleasure to sit with some lovely young nurses passing through. Thanks team for being kind to my furry friend & allowing us to explore the magic of the Bungle bungles.
Buffet was excellent with variety of choices. Love the fennel salad and all the meat dishes. We had shower in the early afternoon, amenities were clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and super accommodating, really enjoyed our night here!
A pretty good place to see the Bungle Bungles from. Very dusty but they had a "Baravan" & "Restaurant" (outdoor eating place) but order early! Fire pit where folks can sit around, talk and keep warmer (!) Good (outdoor) showers & toilet. (Loved that!) Very helpful staff. We had an unpowered site as we couldn't book ahead. (Phone didn't answer)
Can't understand any negative reviews! What a great caravan, camping park. Must be good as the most well known tour companies use this as a base for their start and finish after a day visiting the Purnululu N. P.
Bec and Miles run an efficient and well oiled machine. The place is spotless, organised and you'll be hard pressed to find a better meal and bar set up out here in the Kimberleys.
We did the bus tour which I'd highly recommend. The whole day is catered for and you get a guided tour into the main areas ie. Bungles and Echidna Chasm. This is same price as a 18 min helicopter ride! Also able to self guide if you prefer as we were fitter than some of the guests. Don't hesitate! You will not be disappointed and we are seasoned aus lap caravanners. A highlight of our 15 month tour!
Great staff who are friendly and helpful. Good shower/toilet set up with lots of hot water. Nice walking around the grounds as there is lots of birdlife and wallabies to be seen early in the morning. Recommend the chopper flights around the park.
Positive- We enjoyed our stay here. We booked our meal$35/ head we knew about the price of drinks. We’ve been driving for 8 hours from Broome and looking forward to our meal and drinks. The experience didn’t disappoint. It’s good to know travellers were gathered in the “baravan” or by the fire exchanging stories of their travels.
The food is buffet style and consisted of salad, fish, steak and snag. There’s also dessert included. The food were enjoyable and the host was mingling around making sure everyone’s having a great time.
There’s no wifi but there’s 4G. We felt safe with walking paths lit and toilets were clean.
This park also allows you to book your helicopter tour to the Bungle Bungles and other tour experiences.
There are power and unpowered sites, cottages and tents. There’s general bins and recyclables. There’s water hook ups if needed.
Night time was clear and all the stars visible. There were a few lamp posts so easy walking at night.
There are lots of trees and shades.
As for the prices, we enjoyed the ice cold beer and cider and the hot meal. The experience for us is priceless.
Negative- there is generator that supplies power to the camp, we didn’t hear it, and is making our ac work, we’re happy so not really negative.
Amazing, it's a must if you are visiting the Bungle Bungles.
Shower under the stars! ️️️
Great food at the BBQ Banquet, staff are friendly, shout out to Bec.
Ablutions are dirty. In our case also further away than reasonable for a midnight loo run. Sites are OK and everything works. Staff are good. Meals are fresh and healthy - book early as places close fast. Nice atmosphere.
Helpful staff. Open, exposed sites but ideal to leave our camper while visiting Purnululu for 2 days. Adequate amenities. Cooked, shared evening meal was good for meeting other people and sharing travel experiences.
Very friendly staff. Can advise on anything. The park is nothing flush but most people don’t spend their day at the park. Amenities are good. The dinner bbq with barramundi, steacks is fantastic. Great to sit down with other travellers.
