Budget Car & Truck Rental Burswood

Not great. The girl at the main office (Chelsea I believe) got my order wrong and almost missed out on the truck for my move. Had to end up having to get it from a location further away. Very disappointing.

Absolutely poor service lady was rude. I called the east Fremantle one and booked a truck. Got there to pick it up to find out it was in Burswood. If I had of known that I wouldn't have booked it was never told otherwise. Was never told I had to fill it until I picked it up so they took it out of my $200 bond which is fine and was happy for that. To then find out they charge $5 litre and we only used not even a quarter of a tank and I'm getting back $28. This is not right. Absolutely poor service. One of the worst company to deal with. Was given courtesy car by RAC when I gave my car to the smash repair company. Inspected my car almost after 7-8 days of return and charged $850 to my credit card for the damage which I never did. Talking to ABWEST or Budget doesn't help. Avoid if possible.

Absolutely appalling service. Unfriendly and also took money from me because of a faulty truck. I would advise everyone to not use these guys at all.

Booked a truck for pick up at burswood, got a confirmation email for pick up at Burwood, and on arrival to pick up truck at Burswood, get told theres no truck and go to midvale, therefore having to pay extra fuel cost.
Wont be using them again.

Lady at the front desk was rude. Told to park our car on the street no customers parking at all on site.

This bunch of clowns takes bookings for outside their opening hours through the budget website and then won't bother querying you about it. Even after the booking sits there on their computers for a week and I showed up to a closed office, they still haven't bothered contacting me 4 days later.

Worst Truck Hire company, I hired their truck to move, half way through the loading the tailgate stoped working and truck won’t start as it turned out battery went flat. So I called Budget to inform them about the situation, their response was that it is not their problem, so I asked them could you send someone to jump start the truck or replace the battery as it was only used for an hour therefore this battery is old and needs replaced by new battery. They said can’t do anything about it, so I had to call RAC to Jump start it, of course I will not put new battery in their as it is a rental truck. So I used that truck for 8 hours and had to keep it running.

I have used taillift before and it was not used more than 10 times while the truck was switched off at the beginning.

So it turned out, they do not have RAC for their trucks or their own rescue or repair service. Paid $200 to RAC for their battery stuff up. Wasted $50- $60 worth of fuel. My total bill with them was nearly $560 for a day including rent, insurance and Rac plus $60 of fuel on top, $660 for a day hire of truck. They take the credit card details of you so your money is gone.

Good luck with disputing the charges as they have computerised response, It is not our responsibility.

I would not recommend this company, once you put your credit card down the game is over.

Absolutely no help at all, just tried to hire a truck to move. Terrible customer service and wouldn't let us pay with the partner's card and use my license even though she was with me. It was just to difficult for them and they offered no assistance at all. Highly recommended thrifty as there were no issues and they were very helpful and chraper

Plz be aware of this buisness. The staff is totally unprofessional. At the time of booking i was told the vehicle is auto with aircon. When we got there they gave us manual. When i asked they came back with excuses. The vehicle offered to us was so dirty inside as well.

Hopeless! Say they are open till 2pm. Get there at 9am and they are shutting. Wouldn’t for fill my hire order

Great service, and staff were on the ball. Prompt, flexible and stuck to their word. The vehicles was everything they said it was and was clean and modern.

Dodgy business. I left the vehicle fueled up before start of business. They charged me for 25l of fuel with no proof of purchase. We had to follow up 3 times to obtain a tax invoice which is not itemised other than charges with their internal codes next to it. More than two and a half months later, we are still not reimbursed as promised by Matt for the mystery fuel being put in at well over $4 per litre. They were cheaper than Hertz and WA Rentals, but the experience left a bitter taste

The truck was well maintained and modern but after ringing around the whole of Perth for a MANUAL medium rigid I booked one with Budget to do my license test in for a job I had lined up but when I got there they had reserved an AUTOMATIC truck for me. I didn't have time to argue with them as I had to get to Mandurah to do the test. I was only able to obtain an MR-A license, A for Automatic! I wasn't able to take the job as the truck was a Manual. Luckily I got another job elsewhere but now I have to go through the whole process again to get my MR minus the A.

Not happy about Budget holding my bond for over a week. I went to a smaller company and there was no security bond required.

Was in a real tight bind when we had to move out of our rental property on short notice. Because this Budget has a wide range and good fleet they were able to put a hi-top van aside for me for a two day loan.

Prices weren’t super cheap but definitely on par with what to expect anywhere else.

Customer service is where I’d give 10 stars if I could. The lady’s phone manner was friendly, very helpful and genuinely helpful.

When I went in to pick up (and drop off) they were just as accommodating and friendly.

Owner should be very happy with his team here. Well done!

Easy to deal with the folks at the counter and vehicle was made ready following a thorough review of the with notes and photos taken to ensure there can be no claims of unknown prior damage on return. No rushing the client.

Worst ever car rental experience. After returning the car and flew back home, they charge extras to my credit card without providing valid proof or reasons. All complaints and our photos of evidence are completely ignored. Stay away from Avis and Budget.

Seamless rental, great price for the hire too.

Willing to help out with mileage and price with been inconvenienced by having to drive to another yard to pick up the truck.

Bit confused when booking as the woman had the attitude that unless you hire the truck first in the morning she couldn't guarantee it would be available for hire later in the day
