Billabong Roadhouse reviews
49Good pricing on fuel. There is food, accommodation, games to play, pool table, bar. A space in the middle of no where on the way to somewhere. Well worth the stop. Staff are so lively they bring a smile to your face. Wildflowers galore during Sept Oct. Worth a stop.
If I could give the roadhouse 6 stars I would do it! We had a overnight at the free campground. We had a good night sleep. It is quite at night and far enough from the road. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The coffee I had in the morning was nice. They have a free shower. And the toilets in the roadhouse were very clean. Really recommend to stay here. Thank you for having me!
10c cheaper deisel than right next door, what's not to like. No idea why people still fill up at the shell, u can literally see the $10 saving 50m away.
I would normally stop in here but now it seems that gouging is the new norm.
The prices are higher that the 26th parallel and the owner would be happy to tell you it's because of CRAZEEE TIMES.
I know it's hard to cater for everyone's special requirements but when you charging Gucci you have to back it up.
Staff are friendly and willing to help. Small range of souvenirs and gifts. Shaded seating area on the side where we sat and ate lunch comfortably. Overall Nice but expensive. 3 soft drinks cost us $18 (expected for the area though)
Stopped for a meal for tea and it was delicious. Best steak, chips and salad we had had in ages. Definitely a great place to stop for a awesome meal
Awesome iconic roadhouse.
Huge variety of food and drinks, clean toilets and fuel is priced well.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Prefer to rest and fuel up here than further north at Overlander.
What ever direction you travel, I can recommend you stop in here.
It's very good, lots of food options lots of souvenirs
Sit down dinner if you want it
Very friendly staff will be calling back on my way home
What a great team at this Roadhouse! Cheapest fuel for kms. Good selection of fresh, ready made and food to go. Area indoors to sit and eat your meals. Free showers and free overnight stop area out the back. This is outback Oz at it's best. Thanks folks!
We have always stopped at Billabong and will continue to. Cheapest fuel on NW Coastal hwy. Great breakfast and friendly staff. How about spending a bit on the driveway around the diesel pumps though? With the recent rains it is a bog heap surrounded by large pools of water. Toilets could also be improved.
I have lived in Carnarvon for the last 20 years since returning to live there. In my childhood, my family and I have travelled the NWC highway all the time and the billabong roadhouse has always been our favourite stop. Good service and great food and friendly staff.
Top class service from very helpful and polite staff, Ortwin and Marisa let me borrow their mobile charger and helped every possible way very happily while my vehicle was broken down by the road and I was waiting for help to arrive at Billabong roadhouse. Also meals are delicious, quick and very reasonably priced, gentleman who brought my meal out was very polite and helpful.
Good stop for petrol & toilets as expected, but lunch was very disappointing. We ate in their cafe and we had one greasy hamburger with the lot for $22 & one grisly lamb kebab with too much garlic sauce for $16. Wouldn’t recommend these two menu items.
Quaint little roadhouse in the middle of whoop whoop very friendly people, a range of souvenirs and kids toys to be had
Finally a really welcoming Roadhouse and probably the friendliest staff we've come across in a lot of traveling. We also met the manager and had a really great chat with her.
Not only did they have the cheapest fuel since Adelaide, they had an awesome selection of freshly made, healthy and quality food available. The fresh Mango Smoothie was a killer and they certainly make one of the best coffees too!
Heaps of cool stuff to look at and unique souvenirs that make it a true Roadhouse not just another boring servo on the highway. Definitely the best stop in Billabong! Cheers Adam & Anne from the Salt Creek Roadhouse SA
My partner and I stayed here for the night and were pleasantly surprised at how convenient the place was. Great location, friendly staff and everything you’d need for a quick stop and sleep before hitting the road the next day. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was also great! Thanks Billabong Roadhouse!
After bush camping on a station for a week, the hot shower n warm bed in our donga was a welcome sight. The dinner we had in the tavern was good n the drinks were cold.everything perfectly satisfactory. The takeaway coffee this morning was a standout. Great service n friendly obliging staff!
We didn't stay, but stopped on our way through to Perth. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and a meal the younger woman told us she would let us know when the cappuccinos we ready Which she left sitting for 5 minutes before telling us they were ready. We went to get the cappuccinos only to see they were flat whites (and cold) when we quired the coffees she rudely replied and proceeded to argue that we did not order cappuccinos. (This ypung ladies bad attude towards customers was very disapointing)
Super roadhouse staff is nice and the inside is warm. Lots of things to bye if someone wants some souvenir. Apparently you can stay for free one night if you have a campervan or a caravan.
Friendly staff, fuel is way cheaper than at shell and the variety of food that is not only yummy but healthier options too
