Belmont Tavern reviews
60If you want a safe night out. Dont go here. I am still suffering concussion from five weeks ago of being beaten so badly by one of their patrons. And the security let his perpetrator back in. You can not be safe here. They want to only care about negligence. And not wanting to admit any wrong. Last place I'd ever take my family. This place is not safe. The person. Has been charged. But for the tavern to not protect their patrons. Totally disgusting. What do you expect from a low class tavern? Nothing!
Especially nice to be finally able to eat in peace while the kids run wild in the indoor playground.that is if the kids stay inside the playground.
Pub had a great atmosphere, food was very nice, and decently priced. Thought the drinks were well priced too. Service was great. Best of all, was the air-conditioned kids playground that is in a glass room, that seem to take a lot of noise away (my daughter was the only one there so couldn’t say for a group of kids). Happy to have picked this pub to take hubby to for his birthday lunch, shame we were just driving through and not local.
Pub is good, food was not.had a feed with 6 others. My food was burnt, other meals average. Apparently food is hit and miss there so your choice.staff were great though.
Brought a group of 6 elderly clients for lunch as well as 3 other staff members. Clients meals were ordered first so that their meals would be brought out before staff meals. Staff ordered 10 mins later. 1 of the clients meals came and also a staff members they ate and finished their meals before any other meals appeared. Another staff members bowl of chips came out and when she requested that they be kept warm in kitchen the reply was that the other meals would be following. Another wait for my elderly clients.
Clients did say their meals were ok however they were not impressed with the length of wait and that meals never came out together so they could eat as a group instead of sitting and watching clients eating
There was 10 of us and this was a first time visit for a luncheon. Great ambience, really good food and the staff didn't just serve us and disappear, they made sure we had every thing we needed and all with a smile.
Credit to management, we will definately be back.
Absolutely appalling meal and service. One of our meals was inedible, and tasted off, which when we raised our concerns to the waitress several times, after which she quoted "well yes, it is pub food". Three out of our four meals which did get eaten, made all three people feel nautious and physically ill, Which when brought to management's attention we were told we could be offered water if we were feeling ill and there was no issue with the food. As someone who works in the industry i was extremely disappointed with the response from management who stated that "food poisoning wouldn't kick in that fast so there was nothing wrong with the food" We decided to give the local a shot and will never be back. The owners need to look at their managements response, at the very least after we raised concerns at the table 5min into eating that the meals were inedible then a waiter or manager should at the very least check to see if there is anything the venue can do to amend the situation and if a meal should be replaced if it is making a patron physically ill, or simply come and speak to the patron rather than ignore the situation and hope it goes away. What was a poor meal and service (which we were willing to accept) was made worse by an unacceptable hostile response from management. We paid for all meals and left with all four guests feeling physically ill. We wont be back.
Food was amazing portions are huge, service was fast and ladies were so very Helpful, big shout out to Alana who was our waitress she did a truly amazing job and was so helpful with food and beverage choices.
How can a pub stuff up a parmi just let these guys loose on it totally disappointed how can a fresh cooked meal be cold sure wouldn't be recommending anyone for the food
Only 2 choices for senior meals. Where other taverns have up to 5.
Seafood platters served all were over done in the fryer outside was hard. Mo flavour in the good. The burger was uneatable and left. Out of 10 people only one meal was eatable.our group will not be attending this venue again. One platters. Steak chips and salad with 2 drinks came to $67.00. Other taverns have spent half that much on 2 meals and enjoyed them.
Went for lunch public holiday Monday, place was absolutely jammed full, and I was SERIOUSLY impressed with the level of service. Drink and food orders were taken promptly, and arrived in a decent time. All staff were friendly and helpful, despite how busy they were.
We shared a bunch of stuff from the shares menu, and everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!: D
Best Toblerone cocktails, massive serve of chips, tasty ailoi.
Have thoroughly enjoyed the 2 times I briefly spent there.
Will definitely be going there again.
Highly recommend it.
Nice place, have booths to sit it in. The steak sandwich is awesome, but their beef burger wasn't as good. More like an oversized macdonalds cheese burger that wasn't as tasty. Staff are great and friendly.
I really appreciate you guys being open until midnight on Thursday night. Service was amazing l!
Dining in is a good experience, very clean and tidy. Friendly staff, good food. Can't go wrong eating here.
We went for the Bogan Bingo night, such a great night filled with a great atmosphere and the food was delocious!
We have been going to the Belmont Tavern over the years for lunch and called in today.
The Tavern appears to have had a facelift with new carpet and menu which reflects the increased prices for the makeover.
The previous menu has been replaced by a much more trimmed version and I must say the food was disappointing.
I had the beef schnitzel and the bread crumbs were a little burnt giving it a hard texture and the meat was quite tough, I swapped out the potato salad it normally comes with for chips, these were near cold and tasted like the had been warned up. There were two gherkins and some shredded sauerkraut on the plate.
One of our friends had fish and chips which came with a Kale salad which was quite bitter and with Grapefruit and Orange segment (non existent).
Grapefruit is or can be dangerous to those on blood pressure medication and should not really be included on a Seniors menu.
The meal took a little while to arrive, the service was good as usual.
This could be just our experience on the day but, I don't think we will be going back.
Very busy Sunday lunch, maybe they could of used a couple of extra staff
Having said that staff were very attentive, friendly and professional
I had a Thai beef salad, amazing dressing, full of flavour and the beef was tender
Some great specials in offer including cakes at $7, fantastic price, also drink specials, main courses all around $25, so again great value
Overall nice experience
We will be back
My wife and I had a post lockdown dinner here.
Never been before.
Food was delicious
We both had the pork belly. Mouth watering.
Great atmosphere.
This is explicitly regarding the sport's bar.
Don't say you know how to make a Pimms cup if you bring it to me with no fruit not even lime and no mint.
The bar tender clearly doesn't know how to make them. Not happy.
