Barrecas Winery

Love this winery and the warm welcoming family atmosphere. Delicious wines, including some varieties not often found in Australia. Barrecas is a genuine family operation with a lot of love and country charm. Kelly instantly makes you feel part of the family and like you are the most important people who have been through all day. The cellar door is beautifully done as well. Highly recommended.

Great place! Great shiraz and shiraz malbec at great prices too. I don't drink white so go there and judge those for yourself.

Always stop here if I am in the area, even my wife likes the wine here (and she doesn't like wine). Great service. Lovely wine. Highly recommended as long as you don't over-order and leave the cellar bare before my next trip south.

Service and hospitality from Kelly just simply head and shoulders above the rest of the wineries. Kelly is such a genuine person, who made the wine tasting experience absolutely incredible.

Barrecas is a must-see winery with a vast list of quality wines – take time to visit this winery, you will not be disappointed. Also, enjoy the view from the deck, it is quite serene.

This is a great place for a tasting. I ended up choosing two half dozens - and we scored a ‘Monday discount’ of 10%, presumably for being such great people. Then, as we were leaving, our friendly host threw in an extra free bottle for good measure.

Oh, and in between tastings, do yourself a favour and bask in the huge Linda Skrolys artwork on the wall. It’s worth a visit just for that! (The wine is great too)

Today we had the pleasure of visiting Barrecas and meeting up with Kelly for the first time. Kelly was the best hostess and the wines were beautiful. We would highly recommend you visit this jewel. Make sure you put it on your hit list.

On our way to Pemberton, Barrecas winery was our first stop and it was such a pleasant experience that we stopped on our way back as well. The wines are great in taste and super reasonably priced. Also, the owners Kelly and Phil are the most generous and lovely hosts. Highly recommend it!

Our first time visiting a winery in the Donnybrook region and we were very pleasantly surprised by this gem. Small, family run winery. Extremely friendly and hospitable owners, tasty, very reasonably priced wine and some delicious olive oil, pressed on site. We’ll definitely be back to top up the supplies!

Amazing family-owned winery with lovely views and excellent hospitality. Kelly was detailed in explaining the different wines and had such a beautiful, warm presence. The wine selection is fantastic and we will absolutely return again.

The owners are gracious hosts at the cellar door, so you get a genuine authentic experience. The quality of wine is exception and so affordable we buy a case whenever we can.

Visited Barrecus winery yesterday morning after reading the reviews on their website. Was met by Kelly and right from the outset we knew the experience was going to be enjoyable one. There was no sales pitch or an over emphasis on how the wine was produced as the experience was more like having a couple of quiet drinks with good friends, friendfriendly with a whole heap of laughs along the way. The Unwooded Chardonnay was just superb and to be honest every wine we tasted was not only quite unique but excellent in flavour. Thanks Kelly for a great morning and will definitely be back when we back down to the south west. Have to visit this winery when visiting anywhere between donnybrook to Bridgetown (and beyond) as you will not be disappointed.
