Heaters were on and it was way to hot to sit inside.
6 of us had a farewell lunch and all meals were great, we’ll definitely be back.

Thanks for replying to my comment next time we’ll ask to turn them off if its too hot.

Good pub bit pricey on the food but it's good to watch UFC. Also would be good if they had sound on for fights in the garden area every fight.

Good vibe, good atmosphere, unfortunately food was quite average. Not sure how you can make crayfish dull, bland but they sure did: (

Balmoral Hotel May 27th Thursday Schitt’s Creek Quiz night was anything but Schitt.
Attentive, not helicopter staff (Sophie? And Jack and third staff member who brought our food, didn’t get her name, because.you know.food)
Quiz started on time (well.as soon as last booked table arrive). Quiz dude, audible, clear, friendly and competent. Sophie checked in to ensure we weren’t blown away as we were closer to speaker than others. Nice. Quiz didn’t drag on. No silly challenges. Great questions. All wrapped up by 9pm cos it’s a school night.
Food: order taken in a timely manner. Drink order placed first, obviously.
3 delicious meals, with teeny menu change obligingly notes and delivered. Bonus, all arrived at the same time and all fabulous. Well priced. Sirloin steak, snapper and chips, Cajun chicken salad FYI.
Coffees and mocktail to finish.
We didn’t win the quiz, but we did win really with the fun night.
Sidenote* who TF knows David Rose’s bank card PIN number (yes PIN number!)
Warmest regards. Happy patrons #28.

Went for mothers day lunch
Ordered sirloin steak medium rare with pepper sce, steak was well overcooked chewy and tough sauce, was thick and not very tasty and plate filled with dry shredded cabbage. Wife's fried fish was cooked till dark dark brown very dry and both kids left 3/4 of their burgers. Upside chips were good
sadly dont think we will be back again

I had a beer at the pub, it's nice and historical, well presented and they have the usual range of beers and food items. I tend to find these venues a little boring and I like air-conditioning. It was ok. Recommended

The managers are the rudest people in the world. They have no customer service and are the most unprofessional people ever.

I went there with a couple of friends
Wasn't an enjoyable experience
The manager was rude and a bit aggressive
The food was average
And my friends steak was borderline blue
Didn't feel comfortable as not a good vibe in the place.
Won't be going back.
The you for your reply
I but as I said I won't be going back ever
A nd won't be recommending to anyone as it was terrible

They have some great selections of menu items and specials for the day. Steak was average, a little chewy for medium rare though. Peppercorn sauce for the steak is nice but Red wine jus sauce was quite disappointing. Would have much preferred the greens over the coleslaw salads. Friendly waitstaff.
Normally comes with salad & chips but I opted for more salad instead of chips for a keto friendly meal.

Excellent Staff. The Foods Nice. The menu could do with some more things on it. Brendan is wonderful, an asset to the Team.

We'd ĹÖVË a traditional Ceasar Salad.
Definitely a Serious Steak Sanga on sour dough. A T-Bone with salad or veg, no chip's, maybe Sweet Spud Mash. A Pork Belly with asian greens. Definitely bring back the side of Broccoli & Beans. How about Sweetlip Snapper. Beef & Guiness Pie. Traditional Garlic Prawns. Reef & Beef. Carbonara or A Pasta dish that doesn't cost a fortune & is bang for ya buck. You've gotta put some more Meat options on the menu. Definitely @ a good price. We've been going elsewhere since the menu change for meals @ good fair prices. Introduce some more Desserts. Sticky Date with Caramelized Banana & Ice-Cream or Pav. I'm an Ex Head Chef & TBH our last meal was terrible. We've ALWAYS met our clients for dinner & talked Business. But we find ourselves going to other places now. The menu is way to Influenced by Vego & Asian Fusion. We go to a Pub for GÖÖD OLD TUCKER. Run specials by all means. But think about your clientele. I know of a lot of people who aren't happy anymore & thats sad. Cause you guy's once rocked the Kitchen. Get your people back in. Do a kids eat free night on a Tuesday. Cater for people who have had Gastric Sleeve Procedures. Diabetics. Advertise Awesome Specials during the week. Do a Seafood Night with a bonus. We'd love to see you all again. We're 10 people who will come back every week if changes are made & fair pricing is introduced. You will make a profit again if you look after your locals again. Do a $10 Crispy Salt and Pepper Chicken Wing Bucket. That in its self is a MEGA $$$ Maker.
We aren't having ago. Just trying to HELP. Some of us come from Rockingham & Freo. That's what you want again.

Attended private function upstairs. It was a good space because it had a covered verandah as well where the kids could move around. Tasty food platters.

Hi Balmoral Hotel's Management,

Today on the 8th February 2021, I had a unpleasant experience at your establishment around the time of 8: 45 - 9: 00pm. A few mates of mine decided to have a pint after having a meal at a restaurant nearby. While they were ordering the drinks, they came into a disagreement whom I believe was a supervisor name Danielle, the only description I could provide was a lady with dark-haired tied up and was working behind the drink counter at that timing.

She came over to our table to ask my friend to leave in a really discorteous manner, something that shouldn't be warranted from such a short exchange and definitely not at a F&B line of business. While my friend was trying to explain why he found her attitude at the counter unpleasant, she would constantly disagree with the claims while blaming on my friend whom after hearing about what happen from two different parties, I believe to not be at fault. As a mate was asked to leave, the rest had to scull their drinks down to follow up, which let's be honest, was not pleasant. Upon leaving, I also heard that when questioned by the manager, Danielle, lied about why my mate was asked to leave, under the guise of not having a mask on which is complete bull.

I would like you to have a chat with this "Danielle" given that it is her name, that her attitude was not only highly inappropriate, dishonesty is not a trait you want in an employee and as first time customers at your establishment, we won't be visiting again.

Atmosphere great, food not so good, took 3 repeats to get a steak cooked how ordered. Linguine to much sauce. Entre's good. Staff helpful under the circumstances.

Beer good, food average, customer service fail. Bar staff possibly the most glum and unfriendly in Perth - definitely South of the River. Tito and his crew just don't have a friendly vibe going on for a hospitality venue. We know there are covid issues going on, but why not try to smile, make it a bit of fun and be friendly rather than walking around like the Gestapo, scowling at people to put their mask on when ordering drinks, demanding they sit down when they've got up for 30 seconds. They tend to forget that their job is hospitality! The thing is, the staff at the Balmoral are always unfriendly even before covid. I've seen them stop serving drinks to old blokes because they say they have drunk too much when most of the hipster bar staff wouldn't have a clue whether these seasoned drinkers are drunk or not. The attitude of staff is poor here so I avoid this place.

Nothing like your local! Felt home from the moment I walked in a few years ago, pet friendly and cold beers. What more could you want!

Not happy with the new menu. Used to get steak and ribs with a nice salad. Now it's slaw, steak was ok but drowned with gravy. 15 bucks is cheap but it used to better.

Went for a special Christmas dinner for our with our 23 yo son. They fed him a raw parmi. He'd eaten it in the low light and didnt realise until he was half way through. Waitstaff suitably apologetic. Offered replacement meal which of course he didnt want. They said it would be off the bill when i said i wouldnt pay for it. Showed me the invoice WAS $170.00 but was charged $202.00. Clearly they put it on the bill. No receipt so no recourse. Disgusting!
