Avoka reviews
57 The food is priced pretty good, my only qualm would be to have more egg Benedict variations, perhaps one with avocado or mushrooms etc.and add a section to add more sauce,
As for the service it was impeccable such lovely ladies serving us this morning, what a delight.
The food was very tasty, and would recommend to anyone to swing past for a lovely breakfast.
A lovely neighborhood cafe.
We dropped in for breakfast and ordered the Acai bowl and coffee. The service was friendly and efficient.
The food was presented really well and tasted as good as it looked.
Will definitely be back.
Food greasy. Scrambled egg were omelette chopped up bread fried not toasted altogether a very unpleasant experience coffee had to be returned and remade
Lovely cafe. Been a few times now and can be a bit hit and miss. On this occasion the staff and food was lovely. Music was a bit loud for a cafe and not exactly soothing. Maybe best of the 80s but mixed with heavy rock. Not quite what you want while enjoying a coffee and lunch trying to have conversation.
Usually I don’t like to complain but this was so bad Im incredibly disappointed. Had to wait over an hour for food, I know they were busy but I thought it the food was good it would be worth the wait. I was wrong. The food was way too overpriced for what it was. We had french toast and mushroom delight and hashbrowns. The bread and hash browns were soggy and they served the french toast on a layer of wilted spinach and barely any strawberries. It did not live up to the expectation.
Serving brown bruised Avo when Avo is one of the main components of a delicious Bagel, I dont like the taste of old Avo.so 1 star for todays effort, you are better than this, at least make an effort to spoon out the old brown stuff before serving, its the least you could do, mashing it on the bun then hiding it under some nice cheese doest hide the taste mmmkay
Love this spot for breakfast, my wife and I go the breakfast platter for 2 everytime. Great value and variety on this board. We always have some left over. My favourite thing is how accommodating they are, they specially make my daughter a banana smoothie everytime (as there is no plain banana smoothie on their menu). Great spot
Lovely cafe, really great experience. Was some pretty girls in there, just not enough beans on the breakfast, best regards
I have visited this place for breakfast a couple times and I must say, the food is worth the wait. Very scrumptious feed indeed. I rate 5 stars and recommend to anyone in Woodvale area feeling some dardy breakfast.
Updated review, the swarm of, I suspect, 100 flys put me off buying any food, so I stuck with a coffee, which was still very good.
This perfect brunch spot has a great selection of menu options, really good value with highly passionate and dedicated owners.
Perth needs more good breakfast spots like this.
Great coffee too. Couldn't fault anything!
A must try any day of the week.
Thank you x
A great local Cafe that serves a delicious breakfast. Their scrambled eggs are the best around here, great tasting coffee and fast service. Love it.
Relaxing casual atmosphere, love the special touch of a water bowl for the fur babies (outside), breakfast was delicious and amazing and friendly customer service
Went for a late brunch, had a great chat with the owner and other staff. Woweee, best service!
A new cafe with freeway prospect run by a genuine and passionate food lover.
Went in a small group with both fussy, healthy and dietary requirements, this was no trouble at all! There was something for everyone and the staff were more than happy to accommodate whilst making welcomed suggestions!
Whether you're chasing a healthy yet tasty meal and/or a cheeky treat, I'd recommend stopping by!
Can't wait to see what you do in this space. Will definately be back:)
Breakfast today
What a shame, asked for scrambled eggs in toast. Got omelette folded and slapped on burnt toast. Egg was dry and no flavour, do chefs no longer cook with salt and pepper. Neither of us could eat it, in fact I vomited mine up in the carpark. Staff asked if something wrong with meal, my husband told her, she offered to make new one, but too late. She said, he probably cooked too long - but No offer of a refund, just 2 coffee vouchers. I will never use because the coffee was awful too.
Sitting outside as I write this. A very nice cafe. Great coffee and my croissant was delicious. Welcoming, friendly staff.
Absolutely delicious! The chef has an excellent sence of taste and the wait staff couldn't be any friendlier! They let my try a off cut of their brownie (which I shouldn't eat because I'm lactose intolerant) I wish I could have eaten a whole slice because it was fantastic!
Very disappointed. Sat for 30 minutes before they even try and see why they have not served breakfast. When asked to follow up with kitchen further inaction from the staff
I purchased a takeaway coffee this afternoon but had to tip it away - it was very bitter and watery - possibly made with skimmed milk and/or the shots were bad. Disappointed to have wasted money.
A local who has frequented Avoka since it opened. It was always good but with the change of ownership some of the adjustments are missing the mark from my point of view. Not sure if this is because of a change in suppliers but the quality has dropped off even though prices have gone up. I'll still go back as it's my local, but probably not the weekly trip as I have done.
Edit in response:
Thanks for reaching out. To clarify the pricing statement and quality relates to the breakfast menu. For example the Brekkie Wrap was $20 and is now $22. The Special Omelette was $23 and included chorizo and is now $24 and has no chorizo.
