Thought I'd bring my mum to this restaurant for her birthday. When I had made the reservation I requested a booth and noted it was for a birthday. When I got to the restaurant my mum and I were seated on a two seater table crammed up between people on either side. I told the waitress I had requested a booth, however she told me it is only for groups of 3 or more.

Why was this not stated on the website or why was I not informed via email or call, I think that says a lot about them. To make it worse the whole time we were there, there were 2 booths that were completely empty and they could not even relocate us to 1 of them.

Secondly the wait for food was ridiculous the chips were so salty, we couldn't even finish them and the service was pathetic. After they had given us our food not once did our waitress come to check up or ask if we wanted more refreshments, she had quite an attitude from the get go. We basically were eating a meal with no drink on the side the whole time. Mom did not even receive a complimentary dessert for her birthday. I was honestly so disappointed because social media hyped up this place way more than it deserved to be, just wanted to get the hell out of there what a waste of my money.

Dinner was amazing. Impeccable food and service was excellent (thank you lovely Lori). Would definitely return and recommend.

If you want to eat the worst Tomahawk of your life, this is the place to go. Overcooked on the edges and raw inside, at 1.1 kg at 220 dollars and where you can't eat even 100 grams. Let's say it's the restaurant not to go to in Perth. Disillusionment

1.5 hour wait for one $300 steak and some sides. Steak had clearly been sitting finished for 15+ minutes as it was borderline cold when it got to the table. Sides were fine. Service was almost non-existent. Had a $65 piece of wagyu at Tony Roma’s that blew this $300 tomahawk away. Absolutely rip off.

A very long wait for a very cold breakfast. The four in our group all ate breakfast at different times. A real disappointment. People say the bacon is lovely, and it was, even ok cold. But the poached eggs that were served cold next to it were less tolerable.

I decided to visit this place after being captivated by the enticing pictures on Instagram, featuring delectable food and a lively atmosphere. However, upon arrival, I was disappointed to find a stark contrast between the advertised visuals and the reality. The music was barely audible, often drowned out by neighboring conversations, and the overall experience seemed overpriced for the quality provided.

I had the salmon and steak tartar starter which were both great for mains we had the sirloin which was the highlight absolutely perfect. The Smokey flavours from the grill were devine! Even the broccoli was next level. Services was attentive but not invasive highly recommended to anyone looking for somewhere special in Perth.

I expected to have a special and private evening but the place has an atmosphere where it is more what you hear talking to the person next to you than even the music itself.uncomfortable. I really wouldn't go back, the cost is a lot for the atmosphere and experience this place provides

We got the tomahawk, which was terribly overpriced for what we got, and the fat could've been rendered a bit longer also the seafood platter was very underwhelming.

Great atmosphere with great service and awesome food. You can see the chef cooking your meal from your table. I would definitely recommend the W. A Rock lobster as it is cooked to perfection on the grill. Sirloin steak was expertly prepared to our liking.

One of the best steaks places in Perth, I miss their Tomahawks so much. Hopefully they will open again soon.

It's not terrible, but it's not worth it's money. The tomakak I was not asked how we wanted it cooked so it was made rare. Had to send it back.
In a place that I always walk by and smell the delicious smoking wood, I thought the expensive tomahawk would have a bit of smoke on it.none. It lacked a lot of flavour. And salt. No smoke. Just want impressed. Swan brewery and Adelphies still do it for me. Expensive meal.

Great flavours and high quality ingredients in what is otherwise a slightly under-whelming menu. Steak was perfectly cooked which over an open fire is an achievement that not everyone can manage, chargrilled broccoli was excellent although slightly too spicy. Wine list is almost exclusively European which was disappointing. Overall very good but a little stiff given the price.

I attended Cloudstreet at His Majesty’s last night. During the dinner break there was torrential rain. We went to Ascua to eat as it was nearby. We didn’t have a booking so they couldn’t give us a table. They seated us at a bar, which was good. The service was prompt considering they were flat out.

My colleague and I dinned at this restaurant and truth be told we found it outstanding. They have a real wood grill that they cool both vegetables and meat on. The flavour produced by this grill is nothing short of home cooking. Everything absolutely delicious. Staff happy to assist with ordering and service excellent. The waiters are amazing and the service is unbelievable

Very poor and slow service here.
We pre paid $240 for a set menu and didn't receive our first starter for an hour. Table service was very messy as the table next to us sat down after us and got drinks and their food before us.
We asked for table water and didn't receive any nor did we receieve our complimentary wine on arrival.
Overall our dinner was not a nice experience and I would not recommend

Food was amazing, the seafood especially so, their oils, reductions and sauces all compliment whatever the dish is.
Ambience is great, with soft lighting and bronze and metal accents, definitely a place suitable for a romantic meal.
Service was great hit all the key elements of attentiveness, took their time to find us the right bottle of wine, the maitre d asked us how the meal was going during our mains. Very professional.

This review is of the Tapas Bar and not the restaurant. Service is always sketchy despite great location. This time I was asked about it, & encouraged to share our poor experience despite not volunteering it at first. Just to then be totally dismissed by whom I suspect was the manager!
