I am writing to formally request a refund and an apology for the inconvenience and stress caused during my recent booking with your company. My reference number is IM41580864, and the booking was made on 19/10/23, with an amount
of $381.00.

On the 1st of November, I had a highly problematic experience with your rental service. I arrived at the airport and called the provided number, where I was informed that I would be picked up from the B section of the airport's
pickup area. I called again to obtain the registration number of the vehicle, but I was told that this information was not available. However, the vehicle had "Avis" written on it, which caused further confusion.

After a significant wait with no sign of the promised pick-up, I called once more and was informed that I was not even present at the location, despite waiting with two other people who were also expecting Apex Car Rental.
This was the point at which the communication barrier became apparent, as the lady who answered the phone initially had difficulty with English, and another person took over the call but hung up abruptly. This person was supposed to be our pick-up.

Upon finally arriving at your office, I observed the sign outside the office, which incorrectly displayed "Avis" instead of "Apex. " When I questioned this and the lack of communication, the lady I interacted with became extremely
aggressive. This escalated into a verbal argument, resulting in her canceling my booking and refusing to provide the rental car. I have not received a refund for my booking, adding to the frustration caused by this ordeal.

This entire situation led to a significant delay in my scheduled appointment and caused extreme stress. As a result, I request the following:

1. An Apology: I kindly request a formal apology from your company for the inconvenience, miscommunication, and aggression I encountered during this experience.

2. Full Refund: I expect a full refund of the $381.02 I paid for my booking, as I did not receive the service I had reserved.

I trust that your company will address this matter promptly and amicably. If no resolution is reached within a reasonable timeframe, I will be compelled to explore other avenues, including legal action, to protect my rights. I highly recommend to terminate the contract with the rude and ignorant lady with a very low standard of service and very high appetite for misbehaviour

Please acknowledge the receipt of this email and provide a clear response outlining your plan of action to resolve this matter.

Never knew about these guys until this trip to Perth.
So glad I found them as they were awesome to deal with, even when they were short of staff.
Highly recommend them and we will be back.

Beware of the opening times and shuttle times. We had a Suzuki Baleno, outstanding economy with 4 adults and luggage. Must be creative when packing luggage.

On 5th Jan we hired a car from them. The male staff who served me was very professional. However when we returned the car we forgot a purse in the car and when we went there the following day to follow up I met a Monster of a person. Some mature lady with a name that started with Z… can’t remember well. She was rude and insisted that we did not leave anything in that car. Claimed they hired the car that morning.

When I tried to insist cause we were sure it was in there. Asked her to ring the customer who hired the same car.she was rude, she kicked me out of the office and called the police on me.

When the police came I explained to them what happened and she started exaggerating that I was abusive and aggressive.
Luckily other staff were there and they can recall this incident.

The police dismissed the case and asked me to just leave, wait for their call if at all they found the purse.

To date they have never contacted us.

That was the worst customer experience I have ever experienced in Australia.

Best deal for a hire car! We loved the car they gave us for our road trip. I also left my jumper in the rental when I returned the car and only realised at the airport and they went out of their way to come back to the airport to drop it back to me! Best customer service!

Who would expect a company offering a rental service to travelling customers to be closed at 3pm daily.

Even if you take the time to read the fine print.come on Apex.that is not good customer service at all.

Vehicle was clean and excellent to drive, and reasonable value.

Experience upon arrival to the airport was good, with a phone call to Apex resulting in a driver arriving about 15 minutes later. He was friendly and provided good customer service.

Service upon arrival at Apex was a little slow, with a 15 minute wait before being seen, despite being the only people there. We discussed options for our departure and car drop-off. We agreed to accept the out of hours payment fee, and agreed to be at Apex at 7.30am to return the vehicle, with a driver being available to take us to the airport at that time.

Upon our arrival to drop off the vehicle, we went to the door and saw a lady seated at her desk inside. She waved us away, signalling with her arms that they were closed. Given we were early, we went and ate across the road. At 7.30am, we returned as agreed. We went to the door and the same lady was at the desk, who again waved us away in an animated fashion. She signaled a figure 8, meaning I assume that we open at 8.

We knocked again, as we were now anxious about missing our flight if they did not assist us as promised. The lady did not open the door but a young male did. We said we had agreed to be there at 7.30, and asked what the process was to return the car. We were told that we were at the wrong place and to drive to Airbus - Instructions were 'drive through four sets of lights and do a U-turn, that way'. We were shocked by this as it was nothing like what we had agreed upon.

We drove up the road and followed their instructions to find an airport parking service, who were also closed. Fortunately they answered the phone and said they would come back to get us in 10-15 minutes. Thankfully their service was good and we managed to arrive prior to our flight departing.

Would not use them again given the debacle that occurred upon drop-off, as a result of no communication/poor communication. Very stressful and disappointing.

Fraudulent Behaviour from these Criminals.
WATCH OUT THEY WILL TRY AND STEAL YOUR BOND.
Had to launch a dispute with my bank and have to wait up to 45 days for $2000 to be returned.

Great experience with Apex they are off site about 10 mins from the airport.
Phone their office on arrival at Perth Airport and a short time later a shuttle arrives to convey you to their site. Staff very friendly and Welcoming. We were provided with an new MG SUV which was very comfortable and fuel efficient. Upon return we were driven back to the airport promptly.
Would recommend Apex as a reliable car rental company. I have read other reviews about their hours of operation but it’s just sensible to read their conditions before you make a booking.

Close at 3pm. Nothing organised to pick up car after hours. I was left stranded at the airport with luggage. No shuttle. It’s a 36 min walk to their site as they are not really at the airport at all. My flight came in at 5.30 with no contact how to collect car. I was left stranded. No one answered phone until I finally got onto their support network who also couldn’t contact them. Taxi wouldn’t take me as not a long enough trip. Just as well as they were closed and nothing was arranged to pick up.
I assumed (don’t assume). Apex was at the airport where the other car hire places are. I was left very distressed and eventually got my sister and her husband to pick me up. Never again will I book Apex. Airport service needs more than a 3pm close. Ridiculous.
UPDATE: Finally spoke to someone Monday morning. Still haven’t been able to pick up car. They inform me my pickup time was 8: 30am. One I would never have put that time as I wasn’t flying out of Melbourne until 3: 15pm. My drop off time was supposed to be 8: 30am according to them. Again I wouldn’t have put that time as I fly out this Wednesday at 11: 50pm. Midnight. As if I’d drop the car off at 8: 30am. I will take this complaint further. Be very wary choosing a vehicle with this company.

The worst car rental experience. Our flight was delayed and we had to change our pickup time. We tried our best to inform Apax about this delay and to change our pickup time. However, Apax does not answer their phones, does not respond to voice messages and their website server was “not responding”. We eventually lost our money because of “no show”. Do NOT use them!

Really accessible to Apex car rentals from the Perth airport. Was a very quick shuttle ride, a bit less than the 10-mins advised. The driver was extremely courteous and put my suitcase in and out of the bus, taking around to the reception. Car was very clean and exactly as I had booked. The whole process was very seamless with everything ready to go. A so much more affordable car hire experience than collecting from the major providers at the airport.

Fabulous staff, made me feel like family. Please note, if you are collecting a vehicle from Perth you need to call the depot to arrange to be collected and taken to the depot. Car was as requested. Excellent service.

The long term rates are great, much cheaper than bigger companies. Vehicle was in as new condition, & Emma from Redcliffe office has gone above & beyond in her service

Used Apex for the third time over the weekend (Perth, Tasmania, NZ) and have always been really impressed with the entire process.
Have always gone with an small size /budget hire and cars have always been well maintained, clean and efficient.
Customer Service is brilliant (Paul from the Perth Branch is a champion, so knowledgably and friendly)
When we have used the Airport Shuttle service great and never a long wait either side (drop off/ pick up)
Great competitive pricing, wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Never book Apex online. Mistake I learnt the hard way. Arrived there to pick up car book the night before to fined out the office was closed. Had to ring head office in NZ to be told that I can't get a car till the next day. Muck your day up when you have plans for the long weekend.

Friendly and helpful staff. However, no mention of a $55 fee that is charged when dropping off outside of the business hours, currently 7: 30am-4: 30pm.

It's a bit cheeky that the first time you hear of the fee is when you go to pick up the car. Booked well in advance through the website and no mention of extra fees in terms and conditions. Should be stated upon booking so customers have the choice.

Car was clean and serviceable.
