Dr Nicole is an excellent, knowledgeable & caring veterinary behaviourist. She has helped me, not only with prescribing medication but also with advice & support in the management of my people reactive dog, Astro.

Extremely pleased with the results. The outcome has far exceeded our expectations.
We bought Mr 7yo frenchy to Dr Nicole due to his interdog aggression in the home with our other two dogs. He was the instigator of fights that had slowly, over his 7yrs, escalated to a near daily occurrence. The other two dogs and the humans in the family were always on edge. With the correct advice and medication we have a different dog. He is calm, far least reactive, impulsive and obsessive. Since stabilising on the medication we have next to no fighting at all (from daily down to only 5 in nearly four months) and the harmony is back. Hi Dr Nicole,

Just checking in with Baloos progress for our 2 week follow-up. We honestly have a completely different dog on our hands, it's wild.

He has responded really well with the medications, especially since we moved last week. We have a new routine which even allows us to let him free sleep in the front section of the house which is just a sitting room, his crate and our bedroom - so far so good and his sleep has drastically improved. He now sleeps through the nights.and sometimes the morning alarms. Now everything has settled down a bit, we are going to start walking him around the new suburb, letting him explore, and trying to work on his attention, connection and willingness to take treats. We also freely get cuddles throughout the day, and nights, which besides him not being stressed, or in pain, is my favourite part about his changes.

We had our initial consultation with our trainer and it went well, he was VERY interested in her and wanted to get up high to investigate but we were able to get work out of him for some training and eventually he chose the cow hide chew over her.as long as she didnt move lol. Our trainer determined that we have a bit of work to do with him before getting him to the rehab vets, particularly with his husbandry handling so she doesnt think we would have made it to the appointment before seeing you next, she is due back again within the next 2 weeks for a follow-up.

Dr Nicole is very good at what she does, she is a great listener, really seeks to understand each animal’s challenges. She sends updates, case summaries and can recommend experienced trainers. We have really been able to turn things around for our challenged canine. He was seriously unmanageable when we got our dog at 16 mo. I like her focus on animal welfare. Amazing vet behaviour specialist.

My dogs, after being friends for years, decided to start fighting. Getting in contact with Nicole was so helpful. She helped us better understand our dogs behaviour and the reasons why they act the way they do. I was desperate to not have to give one of my furry family members up and i am so thankful we were put in contact with Nicole. Dr Nicole does an amazing job at getting to the root cause of your dogs behaviour issues and implementing plans to resolve them. We have been under her care for approx 18 months and have seen a huge improvement in the original issues.

We take our 2.5y/o English bull terrier to be seen by Dr Nicole due to his anxiety. Dr Nicole has really helped us understand his behaviour and help treat him on our journey to a happier pooch. She has always made herself available for any queries I have had over the year with regards to his behaviour. Her service extends beyond the appointment.

He feels very spoilt during our visits and he gets yummy treats from Dr Nicole and always leaves a happy pooch!

An Exceptional Behaviour Vet with a big heart for our dog.

Dr Nicole has transformed our family and our Labradoodle. With her medical advice and insightful observations on his behaviour, as well as her depth of experience, we have moved forward so positively, and this certainly would not have been the case without Nicole.

Nicole was patient in her observations, detailed in her advice and report, and communicated promptly between visits if we needed further clarification. Nicole picked an appropriate dog trainer for Archie and the two of them worked together, communicated regularly, and with Nicole's direction provided consistent, clear advice on the way forward for our dog and family, focusing on the most important aspects for our Labradoodle.

A week ago I took my problem child, Mouse to see Dr Nicole. Working in the industry as a Veterinary Nurse I had tried my very best to address his anxiety with humans and bullying of his 11 year old adopted kitty sister myself, but I knew it was time to seek professional help after over a year of little improvement. The vets at my clinic often refer particularly challenging cases to Dr Nicole and having seen the improvements first hand with our returning patients, I knew she would be able to help me and most importantly, help Mouse.

Even prior to Mouse’s appointment Dr Nicole had responded to my worried email to provide advice about the medication I was trialling him on -recommending I have the medication compounded to a flavoured paste to ease the stress on both of us at medicine time. The session with Dr Nicole was incredibly informative, she listened intently and answered every question I had - she made sure the visit wasn’t unduly stressful for Mouse (the perfect proof of this was him not disappearing into hiding when he got home and I opened his carrier). Dr Nicole has a wealth of knowledge and helping troubled pets and their distressed owners is her passion - she is so supportive and makes things easy to understand, explaining the science behind behaviours and how the medications and behaviour modifications will address the issues your pet is presenting with. I’m so glad I finally swallowed my pride and booked an appointment with Dr Nicole, I just wish I’d done it so much sooner. I have already recommended her services to friends with worried pets.

Behaviour doesn’t change overnight but with the right plan, appropriate medications and continued guidance and support from Dr Nicole, I feel so much more positive about Mouse’s future and I’m already seeing improvements. Thank you so much from myself, Mouse and Old lady Nay!

Dr. Nicole has been a huge support to me and my dog. She has guided me with her knowledge, compassion and understanding and as a result I have a fantastic management plan for my anxious and reactive Rhodesian Ridgeback. Dr Nicole was recommended to us by our Vet at VetWest Cockburn for our 6month old border collie male. He was waking in the night at 3-4 am and unable to settle with chronic anxiety.
