Just be careful guys, you can get better deals for the price they offer, i didn't do much research and lost my deposit with them. I would still say avoid them if you looking for good deals,

Having to post this review online as the company has ignored phone calls and emails to address the rubbish and mess on one of their lots, which is strewn across the neighbouring streets and houses constantly for now 6 months. Spoke with a Jason Irons who has not emailed me back after making a complaint over 9 days ago. They are unprofessional and their lot sites are evidence of this. The current lot they have in question which is being built upon is dumping site of sand, rubbish and mess spilling out everywhere. It’s the saddest example of a build site in the area and evidence of a cheap careless build with no thought or care in their labour. It’s in stark contrast to other builders and sites around and massive example of who they are and what they stand for.

Called them at 1.05 and I am still waiting for someone to answer the phone, now been ringing for 13 minutes. What a joke of customer service

Sales Representative was contacted via phone, after receiving news that I could not go ahead with building with the company, which was unfortunately beyond my control. No formal contract for house or land was signed.

Advised Sales Representative that I would need the funds that were paid as a deposit refunded. Sales Representative asked me to send them my bank details, and they would arrange for a refund of my deposit.

A week after initial email was sent with my bank details, I emailed the Sales Representative, as I had not received the refund. No reply was ever received, so I followed it up with a phone call to the office. The office put me through to the Sales Representative, and they advised that they were going to follow it up.

Another week went past, and no refund had been received. I again sent an email to the Sales Representative, asking them to reply to my email as a matter of urgency. Again, no reply.

I then called the office again to follow up. They advised that the funds had not yet been processed. I advised the office that I had sent emails to the Sales Representative, with no response to emails, and asked when the funds would be received to myself. No solid answer was given.

After numerous emails and phone calls, the deposit still has not been received.

I find my experience with this company to be very poor, and you would think that having built with them 12 years prior, that their service would be paramount, but instead, I have had no choice but to write a poor review of the company.

I would have used the company again in future, when I was in a position to build again, but I will instead take my business elsewhere.

Contacted Affirdable Living and organised a meeting with a representative at a show home. Things seemed quite positive and a lot of promises were made so another meeting was arranged for the following week. This meeting was changed at short notice from the show home in Forrestfield to the head office, we attended the change of venue taking all the required paperwork they requested. The representative showed us house plans and a block of land and then became very pushy, trying to get us to make a decision on the land without seeing it. He was overly keen on us purchasing the land but we decided to go and take a look at it. After viewing the land we decided it wasn't right for us, we told the rep this and he agreed to search for other land. We heard nothing after this, not even after we contacted him with land we sourced ourselves, we were completely ghosted. My recommendation.choose any other builder, we did! They are full of hot air and fake promises, a very unprofessional company, stay well away.

Great sales pitch at the start. A lot of loose ends not covered. Only good thing out of it was we got a full refund.

Look around 1st as Affordable Living isn't really affordable. The name is a con. Save 30k and shop around.you'll be glad that you did

During the build issues identified were fixed very quickly everything seemed to be going well until a few things one being building code related was identified after my first practical completion inspection. When I went through the second time one of these issues still wasn't sorted and was told they
would chase it up for me after I signed for the house.

Well after I signed for it the 2 people who had any idea of it didn't pass it onto the new guy. I had a building inspector do up a report with the building codes and standards however had to organise within the company the people I was first dealing with to send these reports to the new guy.

Trying to get an answer as to what and when they're going to fix the issues aren't prompt and often find I have to constantly call as being told they will call back as soon as they know yet don't as when I call them the excuse of I was just about to call seems to be a common saying.

I wouldn't say don't build with them but if you aren't happy about something don't sign it off. In a way I guess they taught me a good life lesson being a first home owner on how to make sure I dont get screwed over after handover again.

As our first experience building a home, affordable living made it stress free throughout the whole process. Thank you to Dean, Brittany, and Adam and Jaymee you guys do a fantastic job, would recommend to anyone thinking of building in the future.

What an awesome company to build with, I have recommended them to my friends and others that are looking to build, made to whole experience so easy and stress free.

The whole process from start to finish has been very efficient. Everyone who had a roll to fulfill did so exceptionally well.

I was really impressed with the exceptional service that I received from Travis. His patience in explaining the building process to me and making sure I understood what was explained to me was quite impressive and really appreciated.

Very quick building process, happy with our new home, special mentions to Kelly for always taking our calls and getting us through to the right people or passing messages on, Sue for being amazingly patient and never getting annoyed with all my questions and Brittany for helping me make all my pre start choices the house looks beautiful

First time building and was honestly such a fast build. The whole experience has been amazing and definitely going to recommend to friends and family. A few communication problems but overall was fantastic

Really good experience overall and never felt like any question was too small or insignificant. Absolutely held our hands through the whole process and manage to deliver on time without any hidden costs. Very happy with the end result

I have nothing but praise for Affordable Living. They delivered what is a beautiful one of a kind home and our sales representative Sean was a pleasure to communicate with.
Kitchen has been upgraded.

Highly recommend building with Affordable Living, my first time building a new home has been extremely smooth. My home has been completed to an extremely high standard and we could not be happier.

All correspondence has been answered promptly, generally speaking we were exceptionally content with the cycle. Much obliged to you for everything! ️
