Abbey Beach Resort reviews
55 This place looks like your on the set of the movie 'The Shining'. The whole place is so out dated and in desperate need of a face lift, definitely not worth the 450+ a night we paid (holiday season). Only thing it has going for it is the location, being close to the beach.
In room information about room service etc is confusing, and the whole place lacks any general signage to help you navigate around the spooky looking corridors.
Would recommend saving some money and staying at one of the many caravan parks around the area.
Has three big pools and new playground, also very professional staff. It is also located beachside which is convenient. I recommend this place for anyone with kids.
Great place to stay. Stayed for the first time at Easter, perfect place for a base to tour the area, nice secluded beach front, great amenities and good atmosphere. Was so good stayed again in June, weather was cold as but apartment room was warm and cosy. Staff were very efficient & friendly each time.
This place was expensive and very yesterday.
The rooms are tired looking and the bathrooms need revamping. The bathroom was a bit dirty.
We were upgraded to beautiful ocean view apartment. Lovely, clean and well maintained. The reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff were superb. No small feat given the staffing issues for businesses due to Covid! I really appreciated the small gym. Glad to see it has had some attention. All in all we had a great stay.
Tired needs a good make over or better maintenance chipped paint on walls doors and frames carpet in hallway stained, over priced meals don't mind paying for good food but rubber pork belly and $8 to get room service delivered what a crock won't be going back.
Well located great to walk the shores of geograph bay. Restaurant in atrium reanalysis priced.
We stayed here during our girls trip down south and three of us share 2 bedroom room - spacious, very clean and you could see the ocean from our balcony! Had really nice breakfast, customer service is excellent. The resort beach is beautiful! We are definitely going back!
Well it isn't a resort, it's just place they built in the 1970 's. All amenities are from the 70"s as well which don't work. And due to the fact that this place has not been upgraded since been built wifi don't work, as there was no wifi in the 70's. A air con from the 90's also failed to work and the tv could not bring up Netflix as that also was not around in the 70's. Very disappointed as the three nights we paid to stay cost us $1500.
Our initial booking was taken so they upgraded us to a larger suite for our stay. Very hospitable, beautiful location, good facilities. Staff were lovely.
My favourite place to holiday down south. Room upgraded just to be closer to our other family and friends group we are here with. They made a complimentary platter for my mum and step dad for his bday week arrival. The staff are always lovely and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and I love the choice of indoor and outdoor pools as well as stepping out of the resort and onto the beautiful beach. My childhood memories are here and as an adult, coming back here feels like a second home. Will continue to stay here for many years to come.
Great place to stay but I had the worst steak sandwich, it was so tough I couldn't bite into it and the waiter couldn't have cared less, really let the place down, I'd stay there again but I'd give the reflections restaurant a miss
Beautiful location, definitely recommend, perfect blend of shady trees and beach access, close to shops, and good facilities
The best holiday in a long time. An absolutely relaxing and enjoyable stay. I cannot fault anything. From the spacious apartment, which was beautifully presented and clean, with large screens which helped entertain tired kids, as well as very fast Wifi. The apartment contained everything necessary for in house cooking. The restaurant was fabulous. The food was presented and tasted amazing and the staff were very accommodating. I couldn’t fault anything. We had a large group of people and the food came out quick, hot and altogether. The cafe was also a favourite. I could not have survived without my daily coffee and it sure did deliver. Probably the best I had while on holiday. The pools were amazing, with 3 to choose from and just a quick walk to the beach. What more could you ask for. Overall, I could not fault Abbey Beach. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation just suited mine and my families needs. Thanks Abbey Beach see you next year.
Absolutely amazing. My stay here with my partner was very pleasant. We had the studio spa suite. The room size was perfect with plenty of space and a very good layout. Our spa had a few issues but Tom from maintenance who is one hell of an awesome bloke rectified it for us within 2 minutes of calling reception! Staff all around the resort were very welcoming. Food at the restaurant was very filling and tasty. Pools were incredibly clean and great to cool off in. Will definitely be coming back again!
I visit Busselton once or twice a year and try to stay at different places each time. I’ve been wanting to stay at Abbey Beach Resort for ages and finally decided to book at the start of the year.
The reception and atrium area is lovely and we enjoyed the resort facilities but the room seemed tired, old fashioned and dated. Rooms definitely need a revamp - for the price that I paid, I expected something a lot nicer.
We decided to dine at your reflections restaurant located inside abby Beach Resort AS YOU BASE YOUR PRIDE ON BEING A FAMILY ORIENTED RESORT O asked several staff 2x located at the front counter at main entry level and also wait staff for a parents room to change my 9 month old daught I was advised to use the disabled toilet so I went inside noticed there was no fold down change table so once again asked staffed at main counter im actually horrible and disappointed that i was advised to use your flooring oin the toliet as the resort dosnt offer this fertility im not changing my 9 month old daughter on the floor of a toliet how friggen discusting and how dare someone suggest this I asked once again is there anywhere else on this property that has a parents room i was told no this requires investigation!
Really loved Abbey Beach Resort, the staff, rooms, location, everything. Wish the pools were open later, I understand why they're not though.
Fantastic pools and cafes, great location but the rooms are a little tired and need updating. The staff could not do enough for us and were super friendly. We had a great stay.
Great location, spacious rooms but a bit dated, beautiful Gardens and pools are nice, however costomer service is average aswell as houskeeping.
