Discussed made a booking 3 weeks ago for 22 people for work function. Rang to confirm a few times no one got back to me so emailed only yo be told they were completely close. I asked why they hadn’t called me to let me know. Guess what no reply. Can you imagine if I hadn’t to check and turned up to a closed restaurant. Not happy Jan

This restaurant used to be a place we went for dim sum, but not anymore, staff wearing disgusting clothes, dirty and smelly and rudeness, the so-called manager tried to push customers out as soon as they …. Near finished! What a unbelievable attitude. They did a good job running the restaurant right down on the lowest level!

Have only been here twice and I have been disappointed twice. Will not be back again. 1st was lunch dim sum where our waiter was less than interested in helping us order from the menu. The 2nd was a Chinese New Year event where there was three set menus (note: SET MENUS). We had selected the second set menu for the evening, booking about 3 weeks in advance. Well everything was great to we got to the desert stage, we waited about 30min before enquiring as to when it was coming. We then started to notice how things were quite unorganised, we saw other complaints happening and food returned to the kitchen (which we were right next to). Waiter comes back with a desert that was not on the set menu. We then wait another 30min having to ask again where the desert course was only to be told the kitchen can not make it for us as they are to busy! Discussing! And to top it off, we were 2 people short in our party and they said they would reduce the price for us. Well in the end we had to pay full price making the night over 200AUD each. Wound much rather have gone to the private kitchen in West Perth. Never again!

Booked ten days ahead for a table next to the windows.when we arrived. Our seat was facing the entrance.food and service was good according to the price we paid for.but do not promise your customers when you can't keep the promise.

Over priced and average taste however good quality food. Service not the best but can improve, but people are better mannered overall vs other dimsum places.

Normally packed with people and getting a desk can be a wait.

The taste could just be me having getting used to the usual flavours from other dimsum restaurants.

For example salted egg yoke bun taste like custard here vs other City dimsum restaurants.

2021 Update extra star because new Maitre'd seems to have improved seating flow and staff service levels. Whilst dumplings all appeared to be made on site - Shanghai (broth filled) Dumplings "experience" is still not the best. Duck Dumplings were a highlight of our dim sum previously, but seem to have disappeared and been replaced with lower end items.
Some floor staff struggled to communicate but most were attentive and polite.
Aircon is quite noisy where we were seated.
Location is lovely but not all seats have water views.

I highly recommend coming here because of the quality of the food and the service. I think that it could not be done better.

Honestly I am not a person who will normally leave bad reviews even if things don't go quite as I expect. But this time I would give 0 star if I could! Having in mind that we had a big group of people on a busy Sunday to accommodate, we went to their website to try to make a reservation. However, we have seen the following as attached that "Dim Sum" booking is only available for Mon- Fri. We understand that it could be a very normal practice for a lot of dim sum restaurants that no booking is taken and it is a "first come first serve" policy. If this were the system they had in place, we would happily wait no matter how long it was when there was a queue. But that is not the case. We got our big group to arrive early and we saw nearly half of the big round tables empty when we got there. However, we were shocked to be told that they had all been reserved. We asked why the website says dim sum booking is for Monday to Friday only. The person in charge said "oh, we would have made the booking for you if you have called. " What? That sounds like " haha, too bad.you have read what is written on our website and what's worse, you have believed it! " They made it sound like our fault! That was when my hubby couldn't hold and started to argue with the manager how lack of system their place is. Knowing there is a problem, the manager did apologize and said a table would finish at 11: 30am and we would have a table by then. However, there was still no table turning up at nearly 12pm. Children in our group started to be upset and babies crying. Their front door is blocked with upset people. Just a nightmare. Trust me, they will have more happy customers by saying "sorry we are fully booked at this time" if they just clearly allow bookings and people will come at another time. By having this contradictory messages and giving people empty promises to try to get more trade just won't work! We ended up in the Long Neck Brewery next door. They found us a table and told us to finish by 1: 30pm because there is a booking after that. We very happily took that knowing that is the system to work with and had a wonderful lunch there!

Feel rushed. Good sometimes arrives cold and slow. No good to tell people what time they have to leave if you don’t deliver the food quickly.

Beautiful setting. Went for dim sum Sunday morning 10.30, were told 1.5 hour limit per table (that is fine).
However, the table we were sat at did not have enough table settings, we had to ask twice for tea and food service was incredibly slow. At the time there still were loads of empty tables.
The food was great, however slow and inattentive service let it down.

Worst experience and service ever, been waiting for 40mins, and there are multiple empty tables in front.the receptionist kept chatting with others and felt like they are the customers themselves. Will never come again.

Location was good. Great ambience. Price was reasonable for the quality of the food. There was one waitress that had poor communication skills as she spoke abruptly without being helpful as she was looking away whilst talking to us. The other staff were great. Great experience except that waitress. Thats why 4 stars.

The best dim sum in Perth, no question. All the dumplings are made perfectly, and the fried dishes are not oily (which is the most common problem in most of the other dim sum restaurants in Perth). The egg tarts are melt in your mouth delicate especially when fresh from the oven. Make sure you try the pastries, they are neither underfilled or overfilled, and are hot from the oven. Easily the equal of the best I've tried anywhere in the world. Perth is lucky to have this restaurant.

Craving for a dim sum lunch? Crave no more. Sunday is the day to go, but you need to book as they are very busy.

From start to finish our meal was dissapointing and not a single dish was tasty. We ordered soup with beef minced and it lacked salt and seasoning
the fried rice and noodles also was just bland.

If its a fine dining restaurant we expect that quality of food but if given an option I would rate the food 1/2 a star.

Fabulous Food, superb service. Book if you have a table of 10. Under 10 you have to put your name down at the front desk and wait. Very busy be prepared to wait for tables to turn over. Maybe 15-30mins. Worth the wait!

The chicken feet are always consistently delicious! They have on average the best shanghai dumplings in Perth, still not as good as the ones in Sydney, but they arrive at the table unripped and full of soup (unlike FF, AB, EK).
It's got overall the best average of dim sum for taste!
100% reccomend their soybean desert and rate the egg tarts highly compared to others.

Disappointing dim sum experience. It was a busy Sunday and we were prepared to wait. However when we were called in we were seated at a table that had been refreshed with a clean tablecloth but not set. Unfortunately where our table was we couldn't attract anyone's attention so I had to get up twice to ask for service. After seated for 10 mins, the plates and cutlery had still not arrived but a food trolley had, after the second food trolley arrived the waitress quickly ran off to grab plates, cups and chopsticks for us but I had to get up to ask for tea and the bar menu and then later I had to get up to ask for food service because we seemed to had been forgotten in our corner once the adjoining table of diners left. They also had to get up a couple of times to attract service. The food was good but given the bad service we're unlikely to return. We might of had a better experience if we had a better table location.
