Zambrero Balaclava

Really fresh and clean ingredients. Had the marinated lamb burrito was great. Friendly service. Recommended for a quick and inexpensive feed.

We recently went there to dine in and had Nachos, Bowl along with Quesadillas. All the three items were really fresh and great in taste. Good serving proportions, really nice customer service by Waya and other staff members. The girls were quick to respond about the queries and really friendly in assisting us. Thank you for the great meal and would surely come back:)

My go to! Zambreros never fails to fill up my stomach whilst continuously providing excellent service and a clean storefront.

First time at a Zambero, and had the most wonderful customer service interaction with Lipika.
She walked us through the menu and ordering process with such a fabulous knowledge of the menu and explaining different dietary requirements to us regarding the onion and garlic, along with spice levels to us. She made some really helpful recommendations and made our first trip such an amazing experience.

Awesome food and customer service. The staff that have served my partner and I have always been great to deal with and are very personable, notably the young Indian girl, the young Asian girl, and the girl with piercings.

This is a review of my review. I came here again at midday on Sunday and was served by a little man who made my burrito. He was rude and spoke quietly, I don’t have the best hearing and this made it really hard. Honestly, I really wanted one of the younger employees to serve me as they always are nice and ask how my day is. If you’re the owner please make sure all the staff and properly trained. I will be back, hopefully with more polite staff.

Ordered the vegetarian burrito bowl. Was told that wasn't an option for a large? Was given cauliflower (without being asked). It's rank. Like, honestly awful. And EXPENSIVE!

Vegetarians, stay away. Guzman veggie options are heaps better.

These guys are just the loveliest crew! I came in tonight and they whipped up the tastiest Signature Bowls. The venue is kept super clean, and service was genuinely warm. Super happy to say my partner and I will be back.

They need to take greater care with vegetarian customers.with putting stickers or writing on the burritos (I ended up eating chicken when I'm vegetarian) but the manager was helpful and offered a free meal. Will consider going back because the food is tasty (when I am not eating meat).

I had my first one there and there was an Indian girl who was so lovely. She gave me the Veg options to try first and for every single item she confirmed with me because I just said I was vegetarian. So patient.

The food was so good, so fresh and so big even I got the small size

It’s awesome experience with food and service from your balaclava branch Melbourne, been a zambrero fan for so long but the service person named Jasmyn is so professional and her serving skills are the best amongst all other branches i can say, as i have been to each and every zambrero around melbourne and she is a super star for this branch. Thanks again Jasmyn for the great service you been providing to each and every customer getting into the shop.

It is hard to find vegetarian options in Mexican food, but it has double beans double rice or spicy cauliflower as the options. Ordered a quesadilla with BBQ sauce and it is worth a try.

Lipika is one of the kindest people in Melbourne. Zambrero, you're very lucky to have her working for you.

Both taco and burrito bowl inedible. Ingredients aren't fresh. Both lacked flavour. Ingredients not mixed. Asked 3 times in a minute if I wanted a bag?
And feeling pretty average in the stomach 7 hours later.
So many better Mexican options in Bala and St Kilda.

I'm a vegetarian and ordered spicy cauliflower, bit into it and it was beef. Rang them and they were rude and unhelpful and wouldn't resolve it for me. I have contacted Uber eats for a refund. The other part of the order was not great either. Wouldn't order again.

The best food in town for sure! I am celiac and require extra care with my food. The lady who always works at night makes the perfect burritos and she even use different utensils. Delicious mexican food, will come again soon! Bonus points for LGBTQIA+ friendly. Will forever be a regular here
