Zaatar

Been coming here for years but the last time we rode down to Zaatar the food was the best it’s ever been. Love this place!

Everything was of an incredible standard and the portions were quite large for the amount they charge. (and I'm quite a big bloke). For someone who's super picky about Salad, their salad was really fresh and tasty!

If you're into arab food, this place is an absolute must!

Their falafaland potato and peas rolls are must try. Located on a very nice place, crossing of sydney road and munro street. You are gonna love this.

A great place; I love it!

Yet, I was disappointed by the lack of COVID vaccination status check-in.

This place is the BOMB. Best middle Eastern food north of the Yarra. You will not be disappointed.

Yummy food from Zaatar, they also have quite a few Vegan options which is great! Try their pumpkin kebbe, it is delicious!

Extremely inconsiderate staff. Blocked off my wifes car and when she asked the owner and the other staff, they said they dont know whose car it is. Had to check with the neighbour shop to find out it was the owners car who told her minutes ago that he didnt know whos car that is. How pathetic.why lie though?

Tasty Zaatar and other bakery options including the Zaatar sandwich ZOCCACIA which is the first time I have come across this type of option before. Good price and friendly service. Coffee pretty standard.

Oh wow. I made a friend drive to meet all the way from Ballarat and we went to this place and the food was amazing. I got zaatar pizza it just reminded me of my childhood in Middle East. I wish I could’ve thanked every employee before I left but it was busy. And the mamoul was so perfect. Thank you for such amazing food ️

Our favourite shop for middle eastern food, the zaatar is sooooo good and falafel roll is great too. Love this shop. Not very costly as well, our Sunday brunch shop.

Thank you Zaatar for the lovely experience! Dined in back in July (late review). Everything was so delicious and filling! My favourite was the Mezza plate which you can pick your own mezza with a dip and a salad. Friendly staff, and a beautiful large dine in area. We sat next to the window with a beautiful sunshine.
Would highly recommend, and we will definitely come back again!:)

The taste of Coburg.

They make great stuff, well priced and fast. Why go to chain fast food places when this is available?

This is also the only business to make a go of the site in over 35 years - and I mean a huge load of places tried and failed for decades - which tells you how clever they are at pitching their wares. When we aren’t locked down, this place buzzes.

Recommended for Middle East treats at great prices.

Great food, picked up zaatars, meat pizza, spinach pies and a few other things.
Everything always fresh, super friendly service, ample seating and just an all around great experience.

Highly recommend picking up some extra to take home!

It was decent. The meat on the meat pies wasn't cooked properly. I would avoid eating this next time, and will resort myself to vegetarians'.

Great food, zaatar was a bit sour but still great.ambience is excellent, only to be destroyed by a extremely rude waiter. As if he did not like us being there 2 stars denied for his attitude. He would be the reason I would never visit this place again. The rest of the waitresses were courteous.

The customer service is not professional in zaatar.
I paid for our food and had a feeling that we have been overcharged. As the waitress brought our order to the table, I asked for the itemised receipt. She said ok but she actually ignored my request.
After we finished our food, I went to the counter and asked her what's happened to my receipt. She said ok and called her boss. I told the manager (who initially put the order through for us) what I've ordered and how I was overcharged. He told me didn't I ordered any thing else other than those.
My answer was No. He paid me back the extra charge without even saying sorry or apology.so unprofessional.

My go-to cheap eat! Always cooked to perfection, reasonably priced and friendly staff. I just wish bio cheese was not so much more $.

Great selection of food, quick and tasty, with a large take home offering as well. They also do catering!

Great food, great vibe! A frequent local. Falafel 'Zoccacia' is dynamite. Some of the best hummus in the biz! Uber creamy.

A Coburg institution. Cheese pies to die for.

I would have given 5 stars were it not for their paper based Covid check in system. Not acceptable in 2021. You can do better!
