Yoku Ono Ramen + Sake reviews
79This place has great ambience and the service is excellent. The Ramen is not bad. Flavours are not authentic Japanese but nice enough. $25 for a bowl compared with $16 in the city. When you go to pay the bill they slap an additional 15% onto the bill. Didn't make mention of that charge when making the booking or looking at the prices on the menu. So the $25 charge is actually $28.75. Story is that its a weekend hard luck charge for going through Covid. That would be whilst the business received job keeper right. Yer nah.dodgy.
Last night can’t go without being reviewed.
Another fantastic dinner!
Such a good vibe place.
Recommend the tofu meatballs and hit up the cocktails:) there’s a margarita to die for
Be carfeul. They will slap a sneaky 15% surcharge at the END of the meal. Be sure to ask first. A weekend surcharge now for a meal on a Sat night? What's next? A mid week surcharge? Disappointed. Won't be back.
This place was excellent! Ramen was delicious and the beers and sake were tasty. We would come again!
Yummeh.
The spicy Karaage was the best. We had ramen and gyoza both good.
They gave us the table outside which was nice and private.
There was an ingredient in the Ramen dish I chose that I couldn't identify, that I found unpleasant. Everything else was fine.
Excellent, but very pricey.
I have a love/hate relationship with the fact that all ramen options are the same price. It allows you to choose what you really want because you don’t have the chance to cheap out. However, it just doesn’t make sense that the veggie option isn’t cheaper than the tuna sashimi option. Make it make sense.
Nonetheless, solid ramen spot. Great ambience and friendly staff. Not sure I would return purely because there are just as good of places which don’t charge as much, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the food or vibes.
Entrees were good however I found the Ramen to be average! However, customer service was spectacular! Nice ambience too.
I have to say that i was disappointed wit the food given the price tag. A bawl of ramen priced at $25 you'd expect that the favour must be amazing but it was below average if you compare with other Ramen places in the city.
The broth was oily and lack of flavour.
The places in the city charge approx. $15 for ramen but the flavour is much complex and of value for money.
Arrived at 1.58pm but it was closed.
Disappointed, please update your operating hours.

The place is so cute and nice. Very good atmosphere.very good customer service too. We loved our meals excepts the ramen. I didn’t like the taste of the broth. Overall would love to come back to try more:)
Great venue, Quality of Service from the Staff is top notch and the Food is very heart-warming and tasty.
Highly recommend.
Ripper joint! Cool place hidden away down the streets off Chapel St. Great vibe, delicious ramen and the BEST Gyoza’s we have outside Japan itself. Well done guys.
Really cute little Japanese restaurant. First time here and I ordered the vegan ramen which was absolutely delicious, their pilsner on tap is good and the staff are very friendly. Loved it and will be returning again.
Tasty ramen! The pork in it is delicious. Not the best we’ve had in melbourne but still really tasty.
I’m frankly addicted to Yoku Ono. The Yoku Ono ramen (pork belly!) is hearty and utterly delicious. The swordfish bao and karaage chicken is second to none. And I had a plum wine that was far better than what I’d had in even ramen bars in Osaka! Trust the selection.
The decor (it captures the vibe of a back alley Japanese ramen bar without feeling too kitsch) and friendly staff top it off. Would eat here weekly if I could!
I've been on the hunt with some friends for a local Ramen house. This has so far been the standout.
The Ramen was absolutely amazing here! The vibe was excellent and every entrée I tried was delicious!
The service was also very good. The venue had a cool little upstairs area where my friends and I were lucky enough to sit in.
Highly recommend this place especially for those coming winter months.
Pros: Vegetarian ramen, Ocha spritz, Yoku Ono ramen with pork belly, attentive service, interior great for date night.
Cons: Tuna sashimi was far too thick and quite unpleasant to eat in such large pieces (almost 1cm thick) so therefore we didn't finish the serve, small 2 seater tables along the wall are not very 'ramen friendly' - way too low so therefore eating the ramen without splattering the broth over your legs was quite a challenge.
Enjoyable tasty ramen, but that alone probably wouldn't be enough to make me return.
Delicious! I don't usually enjoy Ramen from most restaurants but this stuff incredible. Tan Tan Sesame Pork and a Plum Sour every time for me!
Place was great. Ramen's broth and toppings were nice, chicken thighs were just boiled (which i wasn't into) and matcha cheesecake was alright.
