Yoku Ono Ramen + Sake reviews
79 Went to YokuOne Ramen food, I am thinking what was good.food service was fast but food.
I ordered Vegeterian Ramen does not specify whether it is spicy or sweet side, what i got was Ramen dipped in Vinegar and soya sauce so unhappy. Lack taste and felt like missing some Gingerly taste
Agedashi Tofu was ok ok.only good thing was tea and overall food experince not satisfying.
The famous spicy karrage wasn’t as good as I expected it, it wasn’t crispy at all: (and the sauce had a bitter taste to it.
The swordfish bao bun wasn’t tasty either.
Ask for their chilli oil and chilli flakes! A total game changer, made the ramen taste more flavourful and add a good kick to the broth.
The atmosphere is perfect for date night.
Price slightly higher than average.
Came here last night for some dinner and had the best time, as always. Don’t understand why there’s some haters here, food great, drinks great, vibes impeccable. Tried a variety of the starters and ramens and never been disappointed. Some personal favourites are the sashimi, karaage and the miso ramen. The hack is to get a mini ramen so you can eat as many of the small plates as possible.
Pork ramen with a chicken broth and all the usual Japanese ramen ingredients like egg, bamboo shoots, spring onion, seaweed etc. Goes down well with a Beechworth Chardonnay
Prices are way too high for ramen. For ramen it said it was $26 on the menu and the raised the price to $29 just because it was Sunday.
And also the $12 was $13 dollars something. Already too high prices for the $26 ramen so $29 ramen is ridiculous.
We had really high hopes for this place reading the reviews but ultimately left really disappointed. We ordered the grilled eggplant, the signature spicy karaage and the yoko ramen.
The eggplant was really soggy and had an incredibly overpowering, heavy, salty sauce dumped all over it.
The chicken karaage was okay but again had a really overpowering, heavy sauce. And the ramen was the most disappointing, no flavour in the broth except for salt, the pork belly was really tough and over cooked.
We didn't finish any of our meal, and I think the waiter knew it was bad because he didn't ask us how it was.
The positive aspects of this place were the atmosphere, it had a beautiful design and feel to it and the first waitress we had was very friendly and accommodating.
Overall we probably won't be back unless we hear they've changed chefs.
Fun, chilled vibe. Decor reminiscent of Japan. Food was delicious and really tasty cocktails.
Cute restaurant with additional seating up in the loft area. Excellent atmosphere and service. Low lighting, good hip-hop soundtrack. Some of the best ramen I've had in Melbourne. Highly recommended.
What a hidden gem definitely my new favourite ramen in Melbourne ️
Highly recommended
Probably in my list of the top 5 Ramen restaurants in Melbourne. Start with the gyoza, trust me?
One of good ramen restaurant in Prahran area. Overall, food is delicious and nice.
But for ramen price (1 ramen is 26$), i feel it is a little expensive for me.
Tasty food, but nothing overly special. Had great vibes and the staff were very nice. Overly priced in my opinion.
WOW - This food was incredible. The flavours were so satisfying. The fresh wasabi - blew my mind and made the sashimi absolutely melt in your mouth. The ramen is flavourful, without getting that fat coating in your mouth like some tend to do. I cannot wait to return. The YUZO Margs were sensational. Can't wait to eat here. Its the place I want to take my friends and watch their reaction as they take their first bite of the vegetarian gyoza and are hit with the beautiful nutty/sesame sauce. 10/10 this place is a hidden gem. Oh.and did I mention this was takeaway? I can't image how good this will be when I eat dine in, truly impressive.
This was the best Japanese food I have ever eaten! Beautiful flavours, sashimi was heavenly, service was exquisite. Thankyou. We will be back!
Love this place. The best gyoza and THE BEST pork ramen. Ambience 10/10. Staff so friendly 10/10!:) :)
Didn't order ramen - but our meal was absolutely excellent, and service was fantastic. Good prices - best Japanese food we've ever had!
Really cool place with a nice atmosphere, stunning food and drink at decent prices. My partner and I both had the cold tuna sashimi ramen, it was absolutely perfect and great for a hot day.
You wouldn’t stumble across this place, it’s off the side down a street. But, you must check it out. The whole experience from food, tunes to staff were so welcoming and inviting. You won’t regret stepping into this Japanese paradise
Really appreciated the awesome service. Our server was super attentive and friendly. The interior decor made it feel like we were back in Japan eating ramen. Super cozy vibe.
Ramen was good, we finished our meals and were full afterwards, so the proportions were perfect!
A perfect ramen weather is on our radar for this week! @yoku_ono is where you will get a great ramen feast, beside amazing Japanese sake, cool vibes and a fantastic service.
What we had here:
Yoku ono ramen with chicken thigh, such a satisfying ramen broth it had and the flavours were so delish and irresistible. The chicken thigh was very tender, served with perfectly jammy boiled egg, and lots of veggies. Must try
Tan tan sesame ramen with spicy pork mince, this was incredibly delicious and packed with comforting flavours and the warmth of it made me fall in love with this bowl of ramen. Highly recommend
Swordfish bao bun, chicken karaage bao bun and fried tofu bao bun were so mouthwatering, simple yet very tasty to eat. Must try.
Agedashi tofu, wow this was just incredible, came in a broth which was flavoursome and had so much veggies in it. Another must try.
We absolutely loved the service here and the team of staff and manger are such polite, kind and welcoming folks. The moody ambiance is perfect for date night goals.
The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is really great. So why not checkout @yoku_ono this week for lunch/dinner with friends/family.
A cozy place down a little alleyway. I wouldn't say it's the best ramen I've had but it's still delicious. The gyoza and chicken karaage are up there with the best I've had though. Worth a visit.
