I was having issues online and the recommendation was to go in-store. I went to Northland Optus, and wasn't greeted as the guy who was meant to meet me was too busy discussing social things with a colleague (I heard the story, completely not work related). Store was basically empty, no reason to have missed greeting me. When I did get assigned an employee, I explained everything and the customer service rep said that wasn't something they could do in store. I went back online and they said it had to be in-store. I went to another Optus shop who were super helpful and fixed it straight away. Northland did not want to even try to assist me. Would not recommend.

Waste of time visiting this store obviously staff not interested in their roles in customer service waited approx 5 mins before some approached as to what I was inquiring about.
About 5 staff leaning up against desks and counter talking laughing and totally not interested in helping customers.
I was then asked to wait as the sales assistant spoke to someone sitting at a desk who I was told would help me. Totally frustraed as this guy had no idea if Optus could help with my requirements into the installation of NBN at my home in Reservoir o monitor 4 security cameras.
Left the store and happy I went to Testra who had no problems with meeting my requirements and no lock in contact.

Where do I start? First of all they told my daughter that she could transfer her old number to her new phone, then told that she couldn’t and then told she could only do it on line and then told again she couldn’t do it. Then eventually going into the store to be told again that it couldn’t be done. It eventually was done and holding them accountable for what the sales lady told my daughter. Then her new number was canceled by Optus so all good? But then Optus took money out of her account for a number that didn’t exist after they, Optus knowingly knew that they canceled her number. So they illegally took money out of her account without permission, so technically they stole the money. No apologies no explanation no Nothing Unbelievable Incredible and Very unprofessional from such a big company. But taking money at their own will for a number that technically didn’t exist. Well Done Optus and Yes as their moto says they can do what they want? Good luck anybody and anyone who has to deal with Optus

One of the worst customer services in Melbourne. The representative was very disconnected and uninterested in fixing my issue. Communication was awful as well. Ended up going to another optus branch and solved a problem in 5 mins.

Waiting yes three minutes.got served but didn't get what she was there for. Top up credit, no longer used cash or voucher, need to top up from an app.
As visitors from poor countries, she doesn't have credit cards to use for the app, only cash carry around. Thanks for the help today.

My issue "phone and new number send to wrong address with wrong surname" That 1 star is for a decent guy who spoke and gave me some information. Manager or supervisor who ever it was, yes every job is hard but if you are getting paid to do so, pls do your job properly and with respect. And there are staffs who can't even copy the name from the ID. Went all the way to the store to fix one issue and was told to speak to the customer service on the phone and I feel like we have to take extra day off to wait for customer service. Guy on the phone was helpful though.

Just called the store and the young guy was so rude. Chewing gum, referring to me as “man” and tried to tell me that what was asking wasn’t possible until I gave him the information after he actually decided to listen to which he replied “nah man nothing here”

TOP TIP for Optus in Preston: Save money on hiring staff by installing mannequins. The customer service is the same, the appearance of having helpfull staff is the same and since the humans you have there are so inefficacious there will be no interuption to your daily routine of indifference and lack of helpful advice.

It's hit and miss contracted a phone paperwork got stuffed up and the bridging paperwork did too. Great signal well phone went back 7 days later poor coverage at best.
Interesting phone went missing for 5 days, they couldn't account for it.
Wanted another new phone that was refused so cancelled contract.
Who knows where it was. Probably taken home by staff damaged by them 0 warranty.
Head office agreed I should have gotten a new phone.
Doesn't take genius to work out where it went.
Some experience have been great Knew exactly what they were doing got there just prior to closing all done and another time had a problem and was sorted in no time.

Very bad. They sold a modem to us with a guarantee that we can cancel it at zero cost at any time if we are not happy with the service. But they ended up charging us even though we had returned the modem as agreed since the connection was very poor.

Do not recommend optus Internet at all. Very bad service. Terrible connection

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! I went there to collect my phone when I got an email from Optus but they told me that my order has been cancelled without any reason. They even told me that if I can’t understand English they will send someone else to make me understand. It was very disrespectful. They were very rude and racist. The manager of the store named Moe wasn’t even trying to understand my concerns. They don’t even deserve one star.

Always my go to trouble shoot branch. Always upgraded my phones from old to new generation technology until TODAY! Over decades customer of Optus with multiple accounts, after today's experience will seriously consider of switching. Thanks to poorly mannered, inexperienced, disrespectful staff and manager, too busy looking at their personal digital devices. Plus another one who is inappropriately defensive when asked the second time the name of the store manager. Told me store manager wasn't available but seconds following that saw the store manager walking around. Basically has zero care attitude towards me and obviously no care factor to Optus. Never in my life as a over paying customer been belittled and provoked to feel this stressed in public I had to leave. Gave me an unhygienic public used phone not wiped down after previous customer. What happened to you Optus? As if the cyber breach has not caused your customers enough stress. Please go back to proper customers training. Please go home if you are not happy at work. This branch has destroyed Optus reputation.

Appalling 'service'. Blatantly lied to about a product I was sold then refused to take it back and refused to give any form of receipt/ proof I had been there. Rude and unethical - spending my day off on the phone to Optus to try rectifying this situation

Awful service! They try to charge you more than the offer advertised online. Unable to perform basic operations, as activating the SIM card. Save your time and go somewhere else.
Highly disappointed.

They dont even get 1 star from me. I went to Optus Northland ask for some information. One lady who served me was black long hair with THICK LIP was rude. She do not have any patient to explain and no respect her customer. She only focus her colleagues who been scolded by customers. That time I was asking her are you busy with someone? She ignore me and kept concentrated her business. WTH is that customers service?

Horrible service by Staff Ali. Very very unprofessional and irresponsible. Don’t have manners how to talk to customer. Abuse customer inside store while all other staff members enjoying watching this all.
Will never ever recommend anyone to attend such a terrible store. Stay away all from this store

Customers need to read and make sure that the sales person explain in detail and correctly what the plan involves. I went in for one thing and came out with another plan. Hi Fatima this message for you! From the beginning I came to check my phone plan and when it finishes. I didn't ask you for any offer for my plan. Why did you scam me to get a good service and 5 stars rating? You must stop doing your crooked offer to others. Fatima who's a sales person at Optus store in Northlands shopping centre,
said that she offered a discount for me, $10 for a month and she said she didn't change anything from my plan. I reminded her many times that I happy with my current plan and she said, “yea yea I didn't do anything to your plan. ” She said that she just needed me to write a review of her for good service and 5 stars. But she had went ahead and changed my plan to without international call and she didn't explain to me that it was not included in my new plan. If she had told me the truth I would’ve considered that. From my previous plan which included international calls was $376 but now I have to pay $586. That's not offering. That's called cheating! Ali is the manager of the store. From the store manager to the staff, it is the worst service. You guys need to learn more lessons on how to manage the business and how to give customers a better service. Stop asking for any conditions or benefits for yourselves. If you guys do well enough, the customers will automatically give you a good rating. I have been using this Optus plan for more than 10 years and I haven't never been in any trouble like this. I feel frustrated with the Optus store in Northlands shopping centre. This is the worst service!
