Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery reviews
78Great time here with the kid especially plenty of chocolate and outdoor for the kid to run around
Always a beautiful drive out. Stunning scenery and delicious. Pricey and you can’t bring a picnic which is a shame
I was expecting something different but it's still a nice place to sit and eat an ice cream, it's not something out of the world
Although crowded staff did a good job keeping things moving. We were seated very quickly. Food and drinks came out before the kids had time to argue with each other. Kids loved the little milk bottles their milk shakes came in. All up would definitely go there again.
We visited here on a very warm day with temperatures hitting 38’C. Hence we thoroughly enjoyed their “big scooped” ice creams. Ice creams were very fresh and tasty.
Inside they had a huge selection of local chocolates of various types and tastes. Prices were not that bad. You could literally see the chocolate factory next to the shop making lovely chocolates.
Place was big but was packed during festive season. Nice touch to have free sampling of chocolate. Ice cream was good, with good variety of flavours but was on pricey side. I suppose it comes with being a tourist attraction. There's also a cafe in there but packed during meal times.
Great pizza, surprisingly for a chocolatier. And many thanks for helping me get that *huge* spider out of my car. I would've had to sell it otherwise.
Fantastic experience here.this place lives up to the excitement that builds up as a tourist. Huge variety of chocolates and truffles, honey, tea and cocoa butter and lotions. If only there ice creams could be less sweet and fee chocolates have wierd taste like aniseed.it could be 5*
Too be honest, there is nothing much to do. Yes the food and ice cream are delicious, but it is very hard to get to do anything. The only good part of ANY visit (been 3 times) was the country area around the place, which is very fantastic. However, I don’t believe it is a part of the Chocolaterie
Visited on boxing day. So busy, obviously a tourist destination. That said, nice place if you are into the sweet stuff. Ice cream is pretty good value.
Oh my! Abundant chocolate samples. Huge servings of icecream and great quality chocolate in a wide variety of flavors. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
Cashier at chocolate counter has poor attitude which turn customers off. The service at ice cream counter is much better besides introducing the different favour also provide pairing suggestion.
It is such a nice place to visit but the prices of chocolates are way too much. Paying $7 for 100g choc, I mean where did that chic came from. I have bought chocolate in Geneva cheaper than that. But I will still recommend a visit for the scenery to enjoy.
Great for a lazy day out tons of chocolate you're a chocoholic this is your Mecca friendly staff great prices large range of chocolate items best milkshakes and coffee
Variety of good quality chocolate and a decent cafeteria. They are very popular and it was very crowded on boxing day. Ample parking and clean restrooms.
Huge collection of chocolates, different percentage of cocoa, different flavours, great nature views.
Loved it, also just an hour drive from Melbourne.
So much chocolate. Also chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. There's a whole chocolate factory. And they have chocolate. Apparently there's a selection of pizzas and burgers and stuff too. But I couldn't see past all the chocolate. Set in a beautiful Orchard and garden.
Gorgeous location for going with kids. Good range of options, including dairy free. Not enough indoor tables if you don't like the cold (but excellent in spring when it's sunny and warm as there is lots of outdoor seating)
Kids will love watching the chocolate being made and moving along the conveyor belt.
Such a huge range of chocolate. Fast, friendly service at the cafe and the shop. Do the chocolate tasting session if possible, worth it for $3 (price at Oct 2018)
This is definitely a awesome place to visit. It also has all the options to satisfy sweet tooth. Too much of variety in chocolares, many desserts they serve, many gift options to buy in chocolatier. Nice coffees, and ice creams are just wows.the views down there are just awesome. Have more sights to visit nearby of one has time. But definitely worth a trip. Plus not far from Melbourne.but make sure its immensely busy on public holidays.it was hugely crowded on boxing day.
