Yarra Bend Park reviews
53Home to the largest Fruit Bat Colony in Australia, this is definitely the place to go if you want to see them. Surprisingly active throughout the day, there were heaps of bats not too far up the river.
A nice trail close to Studley park great for small hikes, walk and bird sighting. I read the water flows from the Yarra river which can be seen around the trail. There is a boat house beside the Studley park for one interested in boating on the river. Took about 2/3 hours to complete the whole trail. It was beautiful despite the naturally brown river.
Went for the driving range. Plenty of space and the misting fans were a great touch on a warm day. The ball tracing was amazing. The whole layout looked fantastic with the mini golf course which I'll be heading back to with the kids. Plenty to eat and drink plenty of parking available.
A busy course with a beautiful and challenging layout
Perfect condition during summer
Got to meet new friends along the way️️️
Poorly managed course and facilities at the moment due to rain bombs accoring, need better maangement processes to facilitate these events
Love this golf course, scenic, great fun.
Although on a wet day not the best field to be playing on (prepare for muddddy shoes)
Buggys are well kept too - would be good to upgrade these with eskies on the side like some other courses I've been to have.
Nice to escape the city, however is surrounded by highways and main roads, An enjoyable walk if you live in the area and some great historical information along the walk
Beautiful park in the inner suburbs. Easy proximity from lots of places. Lovely gorgeous walking trails.
We ate at the main Boathouse, overpriced food but very nice. Very popular area, parking is precious, lots of families. Spent the afternoon basking in the sun, it was a great day.
Wonderful Park for walking, relaxing and having a bite to eat at the cafe! The "Falls" are unique and should NOT be on your list of places to see.
Beautiful scenery walking along the banks of the Yarra River. We walked across Kane's Bridge and strolled around the bushland circuit. Had a coffee at the Studley Park Boathouse kiosk. Saw lorikeets, wattle birds and magpies. We were even fortunate enough to see and hear a Kookaburra.
The park is across the road from where I live that is why it keeps coming up on my time line. It is a very big park and looks like it would be a good place to visit
Walking the puppy, first time on a swaying foot bridge. Shame the lycra clad cyclists could not bother to dismount amd walk their biked.
Great walk at Yarra Bend Park / Studley Park! Started off cross the bridge and then later the trails got a little more challenging as it started to be unpaved and uneven ground.some trail runners around that we made way for. Went towards the falls and further towards Collingwood childrens farm. Very different scenery on the two legs! Got a little lost, the area could benefit from more signage to guide us.but wow what a walk!
Lots to do, walk the trails or the narrow bush trails, see the falls, end the walk at the boathouse cafe for a delicious scone paired with great coffee!
Awesome driving range, would be nice to have a few more mats, but they don't really have the room, which leads to a wait at peek times
This trail was hands down the best trail I've completed in ages.
I took my three clueless friends here and led them on some adventure. They saw a mini waterfall, sheep, a white pony, and then got lost in the bush where they didnt see a single person for 20 minutes!
One of them claims he even saw a snake, but he is partially blind and needs glasses to drive - get your eyes checked Mijo! Anyway 5/5 would do again.
Yarra bend park is the perfect day place to go when the weather is good. There is just so much to do including golf, boating, picnics, bring your dog to the gated area, Collingwood zoo, and so much more!
Bellbird picnic area. If interested in the flying foxes this is the spot to go. At daytime they hang around in the trees, chatting, fighting or sleeping. At dusk they all fly off to forage, can recommend a stop on the bridge across the highway! Both times are well worth a visit.
Not entirely sure about the park itself - I was paddling the kayak through the floating stuff in the Yarra. From what I could see, plenty of joggers, walkers, families and kids were enjoying the park and tracks. Perfect weather for it today.
Beautiful hidden gem close to the city. Felt almost as if I had been transported to a different country! Will return for nature and fresh air
The club rooms need to be replaced asap at Corben Oval.
The grass is full or clover which attracts bees.
