YANG 89 Lamb Charcoal BBQ Restaurant reviews
56One of the best value for money BBQ restaurants in Melbourne! Quality food and service. I have been here twice and have enjoyed whole menue. I ordered 3-4 dishes and was enough for 3 people. Love here!
Awesome food and service - the manager is very friendly. Great night! The skewer set menu is amazing! Will be back for more.
Food was absolutely fantastic. I and my friends had a good time here. The Korean soju and lamb stew was great. I enjoyed the food and service. Always busy, but friendly staff. Love to visit again!
Reservation process was perfect with staff.we were late for 20m but they still kept our table and serve as really kindly. Price was reasonable and worth it to try absolutely.we will definitely come back.
Solid experience. Waiter and server was very attentive and gave us a free bottle since it was our first time. Def would come again.
The only place that I have found to do proper Lamb skewer so far in Melbourne!
I had skewer specials and seafood spicy noodle soup and egg fried rice.
Absolutely loved the skewers and other menus.
In terms of price, set menu seems like a reasonable price but other menus seem a bit overpriced (?) comparing to the portion size of menus
Most importantly, since it was busy friday, the service was a bit slow. However, the staff was lovely!
I'd definitely have dinner in Yang 89 again because of the lamb skewer and friendly staff.
I tried Spicy lamb noodle soup and Crams on fire.it was a another level of food of my taste.if you like spicy food, You must try. Lamb and Beef Skewers were also really good.will be back definitely.:)
Excellent service, succulent tender cooked skewers, great marinade. Portion slightly small however specials make up for it. Second experience here. Definitely return.
Sweet and sour pork is not deep fried pork chops. The sauce is so sugary and the lettuce was all wilted and old. Perhaps the bbq is better than the takeaway. My advice? Keep walking. So many reviews from new accounts? Nothing suss.
Randomly came across this place for lunch and it was the best idea I made. Good food good service. Great Place!
I'm Happy and satisfied.
I think that really mutton is best!
I will go to the restaurant again.
Really recommend!
Best Korean BBQ ever. So fresh and beyond satisfaction (both food and the vibe!) Honestly don't understand the hate in the comments. If there's something wrong with the restaurant, address it. Don't put down a brand new restaurant which is doing amazingly so you could promote another one. Shame on you!
Looove the food there. Highly recommend and will definitely return with friends and family!
I hope other people will try it, too.
Tastes so good and kind service, a fine interior
an easy place to meet with my friend cuz in 189king st holly molly, I like this place:)
Lamb skewer and pork skewer taste fine, but chicken skewer is very salty. Quite small portion. Very good service
Visited on a Monday night 6pm (2-9-19).
Manager and staff were very friendly and service was attentive. Don't feel awkward when they come over often to inspect the meat on the grill - it's part of the service!
On to the lamb - if you never like lamb because of its gamey smell and taste, I would say that the lamb served here tastes almost like beef which we also ordered. So much so that my wife couldn't tell the difference until I told her which was which.
Other than those two, I also ordered pork and chicken skewers. The pork is bland in comparison to the lamb and beef. However, the chicken was delicious.
All up I paid around $80 for 25 skewers, a coke, free flow salad and a free bottle of Tsingtao beer. It was a reasonable price for a night out with my wife.
I'm glad that I did not read the negative reviews before visiting, and got influenced by them. They did not have valid or constructive criticisms. "Worst" restaurant in the world is a big exaggeration. Please actually eat and visit and then write a honest review.
Lastly, I noticed in another review that there was an offer of a 5% discount if you give 5-stars on Zomato. This is very much a no-no in my view. But on the night that I visited, the 5% discount was for paying in cash. This is a legal grey area but I'm not the owner of the restaurant and have to worry about the ATO auditing me. But as a consumer - a discount is a discount.
