The web page states "We strive to provide an environment where patients and their families feel safe, supported and comfortable. " This couldn't be further from the truth.

My daughter was discharged from this facility two weeks early as they stated she abused them verbally and they don't go to work to be spoken to like this. As a trained registered nurse my understanding is that when you acutely mentally unwell you are not in your right mind. In my mental health training we were taught to physically restrain patients, that shows that you can expect abnormal behaviours in mental health.

During her stay she saw her doctor Raj twice for 5 minutes. He advised my daughter that I should not be calling the clinic and he will not be speaking to me about her care. The web page clearly states that family involvement is supported and encouraged.

Prior to disharge my daughter was on high doses of prn benzos and anti pyschotics. Her mood stabilisor dose was halved and she was advised that this drop is only safe if it is managed as a inpatient. They then forced her to leave against her will on the lower dose and a abrupt halt to all prn medications.

This is a poorly run facility with incompetent clinicians. If you want help do not admitt yourself here as you will more than likely end up in a position where you need more help but feel there is no where to turn.

This was once a fantastic private clinic. Unfortunately, higher management/directors are only focussed on 'Cost Cutting' and producing huge profits for shareholders.
I was told after discharge via telephone, that I was suppsedly informed (during the intake process) to provide my own mask to prevent Covid19. This was incorrect.

If you want to massively increase your risk of catching Covid, plan an inpatient stay at Wyndham private clinic.

No hand sanitiser is avaliable to patients.
The reason given, was that patients would drink the Hand Sanitiser (I was not in the Alcohol & Other Drugs rehabilitation unit, where any such high risk patient should be).

No masks were initially provided to patients during the height of Stage 4 restrictions.
Then patients were lectured, like primary school children, about wearing surgical masks. These masks weren't even provided until this point and were then scarcely provided, intermittently and badly handled/contacted.

No cleaning was carried out during the day, after the initial mornings 'spring clean' of personal bathrooms.

High contact areas, such as sinks, benches, tables in communal areas, elevator buttons, inside the actual elevators and communal fridge doors were filthy and never recleaned (as in Hospital Covid plan guidelines). You could see dirty fingerprints and stains on all of these high contact areas, all day.
Everything lacking in Covid19 protection, came down to Cost cutting initiatives by Higher management.

The Nurses, Catering crew, cleaners and Nursing unit managers are amazing, but are massively overworked, understaffed and underpaid.

The dining areas were kept immaculately clean (by kitchen staff) and the catering staff do an amazing job, providing top class food on a minimum budget. Unfortunately, to visit the dining area you had to use the uncleaned elevator and control buttons.

Higher Management will not communicate with patients, even after following the usual 3 step communication process. Complaints are ignored and never addressed.

The directors of this clinic need to seriously consider 'Health and the risk of ill health and death to patients' over 'Wealth for Shareholders'.

My mother had a very good experience here. She is not great with computers, hence she has asked me to submit a review on her behalf. She has suffered from severe depression and anxiety for a prolonged period and wants to tell people that this hospital provided her with the best care she has had - and she has attended pretty much every private psychiatric hospital in Victoria.

She found this hospital's care the most effective and believes this has a lot to do with it being a smaller hospital which is therefore more able to offer the necessary care to all its patients. She has found many other hospitals leaving patients in the care of nurses who are very nice people, but overburdened with too many patients.

The physical environment often means a lot to someone my mother's age. She also comes from a background that makes her used to very good food. She found this hospital's aesthetics and food the best in Victoria, I think this has a lot to do with it being new. The food, for example, is far better than any other hospital and things like this are important in mental health. As an educated woman, my mother has wondered how people are supposed to get better in hospitals that serve
'disgusting' food that does not address the necessity for people with a mental illness to take care of themselves when it comes to nutrition.

Looking at the other reviews here, it seems that the recent ones are the best and the ones going back several years are not as great. So I think that maybe the mental health section is new and maybe the rest of the services have been around longer. Whatever the case, the hospital has clearly taken action on any negative feedback, because I find it hard to imagine how anyone could leave negative feedback now. It's important to remember that some patients with mental health issues find it difficult to decipher between what is going on inside their heads, and what is happening in the environment itself.

My mother has never suffered from any kind of delusions or psychosis and is able to tell when her own low mood impacts on her environment. In other words, when she is depressed she knows that she can blame pretty much anything. - the weather, the government, the local restaurant, her husband, me, , and even the dog.

When the dog is blamed, we know it's time for mum to spend some time having her medication looked at again and this is best done as an inpatient.

She left Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital happier than she has been in a long time and her lifted mood seems to be lasting. She wants to say that she felt more personally cared for than she has in any other medical environment and believes that this has a lot to do with her lifted mood.

When a patient feels that the staff care about them personally, it's obviously going to impact on the patients in a positive manner. I hope that the clinic is able to maintain its intimacy and care for its patients.

I would like to thank the staff for the positive changes I see in my mother. It is truly wonderful as I have not seen her this happy for many years.

In all honesty I have very mixed feelings about this practice. I was first admitted for a month in April due to regression and the atmosphere was amazing. The groups were lead by extremely understanding and genuine caring staff. My psychiatrist was very on top of things and my treatment went very well.

I readmitted myself 3 weeks ago due to uncontrollable anxiety & depression.
However today I had to self discharge as everything was completely different. There was less staff and a lot more patients. I felt very neglected by the my psychiatrist as I would keep reporting the issues I was having with other patients. She would dismiss them and tell me I was over reacting and getting to sensitive about things. The actions and inconsideratness of other patients turned into bullying. I had problems with one patient in particular who definitely should be in a more high dependant clinic I was promised that they would keep me safe from her and that they would have an intervention and talk to everyone about bullying and their no tolerance policy. That never happened. And every time there was an argument staff would just watch and not step in. It was a very scary environment and I found myself hardly leaving my room in the last week.

I have left today feeling worse and more deteriorated then when I got there. I am exhausted and can no longer leave my house without Valium.

Over all I believe that there are much better clinics in Melbourne that are more reliable with inpatients. However the outpatient program ‘wiseminds’ I have been attending for several weeks is amazing. I will continue going hoping to improve on my social skills and anxiety around leaving home and gain my confidence back.

I arrived fifteen minutes early for my appointment and the psychiatrist was twenty minutes late in the end. But, even with the waiting, Dr Raj Mahasur was understanding, patient, and helped me with exactly what I needed without any messing around.

I didn't have a major problem with this clinic. They're good people.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this adolescences mental health facility to ANY PARENT think of sending their child there for clinical help. I feel I have let my child and myself down after placing in this facility. IT IS NOT SAFE! I am just so happy my baby is out and getting the care they deserve!

Ok, listen up it's Dezi George. For those that know me, you know I say it as it is.this hospital is state if the art.it's spacious, feels like your in a hotel. But, the staff and in particular I am told, one in particular, very rude uncaring, unprofessional and shoukd not be nursing.they can get rid of that nurse and they will have a 5 star quality service.so, think v carefully about admission here. The surgeons are top calibre and very caring.

I received not only the help I needed but it opened up a whole raft of options that I’d not had before. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

I would not recommend Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital for AOD and mental health. The detox and rehab area lack in many areas. Professionalism and motivation need to be improved.

I had my surgery here last year on July 3rd, 2017. The surgeon was Dr Tracey Huntley. I was put under general anaesthesia and I had my wisdom teeth removed. The surgeon, the anaesthetist Gerard Stainsby and all of the nurses were so nice

My girlfriend was left diagnosed with PTSD after the cruel and unethical practices in their day surgery clinic. Although admitting their faults they have not offered to help with her treatment or even offer an apology.

Worst experience with a hospital I've ever encountered. Staff poorly trained, lack interpersonal skills.
