Woodsies Gem Shop reviews
46Quirky and awesome family passion. They let my 4 year daughter hold a really expensive bear foot fossil like it was no trouble just because she was so curious about fossils. Thank you for your love and inspiring the people who visit you with the pure magic of the geological and anthropological world great place for a family morning.
Absolutely amazing place to visit. We went for an hour and it is just the cutest / strangest little place. You can buy any kind of gem but there is also so much to look at! The older gentleman who works there helped me find my perfect gem and made it into a necklace for me. I for sure will be back if I come back to Mildura!
We met Julia 5/5today who was very knowledgeable and patiently helped us choose bracelets, showpieces, necklaces and some aboriginal art work.
Loved the place and passionate people working their. You must visit this place if you are visiting Mildura and like gems.
Great variety of gemstones and quite reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit and don't forget to check out Aladdin's Cave!
Amazing place and Woodsie Himself a great Bloke gives his Own Time to Talk too you, with his personal Experiences Very Interesting
Very friendly staff, great coffee and scones. Cheap family entertainment with the maze and play area.
What a great place to grab a gift, some stones, or a beautiful gold piece of jewellery all hand made on-site. Great Cafe and food, the cave is a great experience.
Great shop with a great history.
Lots of different gemstones, a huge cafe, a cave and maze. Worth a trip if you're stuck with things to do nearby.
Coffee was pretty good too ;)
Great place to visit, staff helpful. Reasonable prices on stones. Cave walk was well worth the $2.00. Cafe not open on Mondays/Tuesdays was a bummer.
Definately worth visiting this shop. Douglas (the owner) gave us detailed explanation about gem collections. We bought many gems and would definitely come back again.
Great hidden Gem in the Mildura area, a lot bigger than I expected and has a cafe/playground also. Some very unique and interesting little tidbits scattered around the venue.
A really great stop. The store has lots of beautiful gems, the maze was a lot of fun and the food was really good! Can’t top the great service though. The staff were so friendly and lovely. Hugely recommended.
Woodsies Gem shop a wonderful Mildura attraction for many years. Woodsies is an amazing place for tourists and locals. It show cases the largest Jewellery, Gems, Stones, Crystals and gifts. Some hand crafted and made in store
Woodsies has something for everyone from a gem stone polishing display, outdoor maze, crystal cave, indoor and out door seating area playground and the delicious Kim's Cafe, The Cafe is sensational with a good variety of foods and drinks to cater to a many needs and my all important Coffee. I recommend trying Kim's homemade Carrot Cake raising is t h e i have ever eaten. Woodsies is truly magnificant placeDisability friendly foe entry and of every age.
Love this place. The maze is hard, after 20 minutes we found the start. Will try to find the end on the next visit.
A delightful shop full of gems, polished and rumbled stones. Jewellery in countless different gem stones and settings. Staff are helpful but run off their feet. It was very busy. We thought it was due to Easter holidays but we returned on Tuesday to find it just as busy. There is a Cafe and maze but we ran out of time. We spent lots as prices were very reasonable. Recommend a visit.
Great place for everyone and great and friendly service.myself and my partner were lucky enough to meet the gentleman who started the business today and he was very generous with his time and took us on a tour of his collection of minerals and fossils.thank you sir much appreciated
Fantastic, interesting gem shop.
We met the owner, a wonderful 88 yr young man. He had so many stories about collecting and buying stones/rock in Australia and overseas.
We had a wonderful time talking to him. We learnt so much from him.
Still a very interesting place to visit. You will learn a lot about how and where different gems are found.
There was a lot to see at Woodsie’s without having to shell-out much. The gift shop itself is somewhat of a gallery, with many interesting pieces to look at. We took to the maze and it was pretty hard! As we had a bit of a time limit we couldn’t find our way out in time
Great place to visit and can also have a snack or lunch. The inside is styled like a huge cave. A maze for you to go into and try to find your way out. A "cave" lit with ultraviolet light to see the gems in their natural state. Great jewellery and gems made in their workshop and they show you at certain times of the day how they make the jewellery. Lots of beautiful jewellery to purchase.bet you wont come away from there without a purchase of some sort. Love the place. A must see if you're anywhere near there.
