Woodman Estate - Lakeside Luxury Accommodation

I have a gift voucher for The Woodman Estate, I have rang and emailed a number of times with no luck, who do I need to contact to arrange a refund of the $200?

BEWARE! Be extremely wary of these people and your hard earned money! I had this booked in and was coming from interstate to visit. When the lockdown happened I had to cancel my trip, so naturally I asked for a refund. They completely refused and the person gave me a sad story about how she worked in the travel industry, as if keeping my $400 since I couldn't come was justified. I contacted my credit card company and they couldn't get it back due to their sneaky terms and conditions. Since then haven't heard boo for how to rectify this. The airlines and restaurant I booked fixed it instantly. BEWARE!

We stayed at this quaint and beautiful estate to celebrate our birthday in June. Their service was absolutely fantastic. Their staff went over and beyond to just surprise us. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend our special weekend. We also went on a little row on their lake, it was so tranquil. I am writing this review against my better judgement, because honestly we want to keep coming back for special occasions and wishfully hoping that they don't get too popular and busy. We are still savoring all the little jams they sent us home with, and got reminded of them and our time there.

We also went with their package and had a private guide take us around on our first day. I would highly recommend that as well.

A special note to their staff Ashleigh who handled us most of the times, she is a gem. She made us very comfortable during our stay and gave us plenty of recommendations on places to go when we do return to the area next time with our kids.

It is still so vivid how we were pulling away in our car after we had checked out and saw Ashleigh running across the very long driveway as fast as she could as if we had forgotten something, only to greet us with a little parting gift of bag full of goodies. Thank you very much!

Wonderful experience! The staffs are very friendly, when I made a booking they asked if it’s for any celebration right away and arranged the dessert for us. The whole cottage is very antique and cozy with good atmosphere, worths to dress up and it’s a very good place to take some nice photos! The food is good and we love the steak the most!

Very well looked after here. Beautiful garden and lake, staff are wonderful. The food was absolutely incredible, dinner, breakfast, chef is amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Farmers Produce Lunch - home baked bread, pie & home cured meats. Service excellent & friendly, beautiful dining room. Highly Recommend.

We booked a high tea for mum's 80th. I'm so glad we took their advice to book the atrium. We were able to celebrate privately. The ambience was great. We had our own staff looking after us. The food was great and in abundance. I would highly recommend this option for any large celebration. I can't thank Rick and his staff enough for making mums day a memorable experience

Superb. A little peaceful hideaway. I stayed in one of the chalets and the serenity was wonderful on the lake. The main house itself was gorgeous with that wood fire. And the restaurant.wow. I tried the stunning degustation menu and it did not disappoint. The most wonderful part? The friendly staff. It made it a personal stay and they looked after me with the utmost care and attention. I will be back!

We enjoyed the High Tea to celebrate a special birthday in the family. From the moment when we booked for six, the service was exemplary. With one person having complex dietary needs, at the time of booking Woodmans Estate was very particular in recording details, checking with their chef and confirming with follow up phone calls. And their team made the afternoon perfect. The high tea was beautifully presented and the savoury and sweet treats were delicious. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, great views from restaurant over the lake. The weather outside was awful but it was very cosy and welcoming inside. Service was good.

A marvellous 60th birthday for my good friend. Quiet, efficient staff, beautiful surroundings and an exceptional menu all combine to provide memorable dining.

What a treat. Decided to book a package with Red Balloon for my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend here and it sure didn't disappoint! From the confirmation emails with the Ashleigh before hand, to being greeted on the day by Alicia, and being waited on by George at dinner in the restaurant, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Even a quick chat with the gardener during the day proved everyone at Woodman Estate is a delight to deal with.
We had a chauffered winery tour with a lovely lady named Jacinta, we took the little paddle boat out on the beautiful lake by the estate, we had an incredible dinner and breakfast, and an amazing spa suite.
Honestly I can't praise this place enough and look forward to bring my parents there for dinner some time because the food was to die for. Thanks so much to everyone at Woodman Estate for making my one year with my girlfriend so amazing.

Been to Woodman Estate many times over the years, this place is special for us! Yesterday being Mothers Day was perfect to take our mum here for dinner and again, thanks to Rick the owner and his exceptional staff we had an incredible night! The food, service and the other guests all chattered and enjoyed the ambiance too our delight.

We had a wonderful experience at Woodman Estate. When I booked for lunch they asked me if it was a special occasion and I told them it was my birthday. We were treated extremely well by all the staff from the moment we arrived. The estate itself is beautiful, and the dining room had a lovely view out across the lake. With only 4 other couples dining, there was a nice peaceful ambience. We chose the 3 course option of which there are several choices for each course, including vegan/vegetarian options, which is nice to see. Each of our choices were quite delicious, with beautiful fresh flavours and appropriate portions to have us feeling nicely satisfied at the end of a meal. A lovely stroll around the lake finished the experience off beautifully. Can't wait for our next birthday or maybe we don't need an excuse.

We thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent setting on the lake. The farmers produce platter was delicious and we loved every mouthful!

The particular circumstance of our visit to Woodman Estate is twofold. Firstly my beautiful wife's string quartet (Four Seasons String Quartet) had a performance in nearby Sorrento being our reason to return to the peninsula, secondly it was my birthday so wife booked us in for the evening of Saturday 18th Nov 2017 to celebrate.
And celebrate we did with the most glorious 8 course degustation dinner which was an event in itself. An orchestra of tastes and flavours dish after dish. My sincerest thanks to chef.
Our host Rick is a friendly gentleman with a warm welcome and a genuine need to care for his guests. Several staff remembered us from our first visit on New Year's eve 2016, perhaps because we always arrive with cello in hand.
Accommodation is sublime to say the least, elegant yet well appointed with comfort of prime importance.
As an extra luxury I was treated to a massage at the Wellness Retreat with Stacey at the top of her game. Stacey gave a masterclass in massage, proving with each approach she knows exactly what she's doing by returning my tired body back to where it should be and with the utmost efficacy.
Breakfast the next morning is something to behold, catering to every need in the most beautiful setting by the lake.
I have no hesitation in recommending Woodman Estate, a gem in the Mornington Peninsula.

We had a wonderful experience at the Estate with the 7 course degustation menu with matched wines. The food was absolutely desicious, the wines were also wondersul and very well matched, and the service was exemplary from all the staff. Will definitely return for more!

We stayed in the spa suit which was beautiful. The scenery was amazing, a really relaxing atmosphere. We had the 7 course dinner which was absolutely delicious and so filling. Leanne was so lovely and friendly, really nice to interact with, we could have a laugh with her. She really enhanced our dining experience. Breakfast was also delicious and the ladies were so friendly. We had a great day and night

The reason this place is so highly rated, is that they offer really elegant and creative fine dining, with a reasonable price tag, with beautiful lake side views. They make lunch into a proper experience. The service was a little slow (we didn’t get menus for 40 mins from arrival!) but you’ll forgive them, as I did, as everything else is perfect. I will be back, probably with my parents as they will love the old school charm this place has!
