I am embarrassed to say that I have lived in Greenvale for all of my adult life and have never ventured into here which is 5 mins from home. Great coffee, awesome service, fantastic picnic area and amazing views. What more can you want?

What a priceless hidden gem this place is!
To be living on the doorstep from it for over 25 years and never new it existed- Woodlands Homestead is my favourite place now.not sure what I love more:

A beautiful bluestone historic building built in 1700 with it's lovely gardens, an amazing gigantic Magnolia tree that is a 100 years old, seeing a retired Melbourne Cup horses, taking a walk around up to the old cottage where Toby, a very cute pony is waiting to meet you, meeting a x4 chickens or getting yourself a cup of coffee and being served by very friendly staff.there is something for all family to enjoy!
Or simply, sit on the grass and watch the planes take off and land right opposite the estate.

Why during full COVID STATEWIDE LOCKDOWN is the car park of Wodlands FULL!
The park rangers/community is responsible for ensuring state restrictions are being followed which they clealry are NOT
And to the people visiting you should be ashamed of yourselves especially to force me to write this review about somewhere so beautiful so I still need to give five stars

Fed some horses and some chickens. The dog got some exercise and so did we.
Wait for the cafe was extreme long.

I recommend this place if you want to go for a nice walk with beautiful scenery. Plenty of kangaroos to see for free. Also check out Living legends and the Cafe there. They make nice coffees and scones!

Lovely bit of bush near the city. Cafe a bit slow but doing their best with covid issues etc. Definitely worth a visit. Lots of birds to see!

Tiny, yet stunning garden. Fascinating historical water management system was intriguing. Living Legends racehorses were beautiful from a distance, but cost extra to see up close. The stables and outbuildings were well maintained and quite impressive. In combination with the 16km hike through the surrounding parkland, this destination earns an easy five star rating from me. I also saw some ducks.

Love going for a hike through woodlands park and ending up at this little gem for coffee and scones. Lots of kangaroos to see on the property and horses too. Great for kids

Homestead is beautful, full of history and has a gorgeous garden setting. Devonshire tea is excellent and service is always friendly. Go for a wander to look at the retired champion racehorses on the property and help keep this place going.

What a beautiful place. Andrew showed us around the homestead, which I found very informative.
The lovely lady in the kitchen is very friendly and makes the best scones and coffee.
