Highly recommended place to visit for skin conditions, Dr Eugene Tan helped with identifying and treating my folliculitis which I was suffering from for the better part of 4 years. Highly recommended.

Professional, prompt and polite. Dr Tan was amazing and in my first appointment carried out a full mole map on my body and was able to explain about each mole I had concerns with. He was very thorough and performed a biopsy on one of my moles which was quick and very neatly done in the appointment. Everything was great and Dr Tan was very clear to explain the process and provide information to me on leaving. It was great to find a professional whom I very much trust now and highly recommend Dr E Tan!

I had Moh's surgery to remove a skin cancer on my nose. I highly recommend this procedure especially for the face. Dr Eugene Tan is an expert in this field & has done a tremendous job. Couldn't be happier with the results both removing all the cancer & cosmetically.

I visited in the institute and receptionist lady have no sense to talk, She should deal with patients politely.

Referred to this clinic and I'm covered by Veterans Affairs. The receptionist told me that this clinic wouldn't accept my card and they would give me a concession discount, don't know how because I still work full time and receive no govt support. Clearly they don't know about how Vet Affairs cards work and are too busy being rude to customers to find out. I have had surgery in hospitals, PDT treatment and never a problem.
30 years I have been having skin cancers removed and this is the first time I have had to sign to acknowledge the cost of the treatment. And by the way, I don't give a toss about Hamish and Andy. I left untreated and won't be going back because I got the sense that they don't trust people. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of clinics around where the receptionists aren't rude.

The receptionists here are terrible. They can also improve in their welcoming nature. They make the clinic look bad when though the Dr is a skilled.

My entire experience at The Western Skin Institute has been fantastic. From the staff at the front desk to Dr Tan, my visits to the clinic have been positive and friendly.

I started my visits as a 23 year old with adult acne and subsequent low self confidence. Now, after around 6 months of Oratane use I can assuredly say I am a different person. The feelings I have about my skin are no longer ones of embarrassment and negativity, but are instead delight and optimism. I now look in the mirror and say "Geez, my skin looks awesome today! " and as trivial as it may sound to some people, this was something I hadn't been able to say to myself for many years and it means a lot to me that I can now feel this way.

Dr Tan created a welcoming environment that I was comfortable in. He was great in his explanation of the prescribed medication and the plan I was to follow and he was transparent about the process my skin would go through to get to the ultimate goal - clear skin.

I cannot recommend Dr Tan and The Western Skin Institute enough. If you are someone who is constantly plagued by anxiety about your not so great skin and have been tirelessly looking for an answer, please consider The Western Skin Institute as a solution. Last Thursday I had MOHS surgery for the removal of a basal cell carcinoma BCC) from my nose and I have nothing but praise for Dr. Tan and his team at Western Skin Institute. Dr Tan put me completely at ease at my first consultation and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Everything about the clinic is highly professional and the staff are all extremely kind and helpful. The verbal and printed information that I was given prior to the surgery, and on the day of surgery was so reassuring. Having had BCC surgery at a GP clinic previously it was immediately evident to me that the approach of Dr Tan and his team to their work is entirely more patient focused and so much more professional. They ensure that you are well informed about the surgery, the likely results and your recovery journey. After my previous surgery I was given very little advice about the care of my wound and I must say it was quite stressful when I had a few concerns. It has been very useful to have printed information to refer to since my surgery and reassuring to be given 24-hour contact numbers in case I had any problems. I even received a phone call from Dr. Tan himself on the evening of my surgery to check how I was going. When my surgery was over Dr. Tan gave me a mirror to view what he had done, and I feel very confident that my wound will heal nicely. I am so glad I took the time to search on the internet for a doctor who performs MOHS surgery. I chose Western Skin Institute because of the excellent information on their website and I would recommend anyone requiring the removal of facial cancers to opt for this type of surgery over conventional surgery. It is so much more preferable, physically and mentally, to have everything resolved in the one day of surgery, and the outcomes are likely to be much better. Having surgery on your face is quite daunting. I cannot thank Dr Tan and his team enough for their care of me on the day of my surgery and for making a confronting situation so positive for me.

I haven't been here before i had to see another dermatologist but seen the review on him and didn't went so i seen this place its around the corner from me and im hoping they can fix my dry skin along with my acne and scaring on my face im praying they can.i have dry sensitive skin i have acne on my cheeks along with scaring bc i picked them please help when i come in thanks:)

Very professional and friendly. Went in concerned about one mole. Look at it and said it was fine. Then went over my whole body. Didn't rush and actually looked. Went through my hair to check my head aswell. Very happy. Definitely worth it.

Absolutely one of the best places for skin/minor surgery consultations and procedures. I was very frightened at first to remove my ingrown toenail and had to reschedule my appointment, but the doctors there made me comfortable and set myself at ease. It’s been two days since my procedure, my foot looks great! Would definitely recommend this place! Friendly people, staff and environment. Thankyou guys so much for helping me and hopefully I see you guys again for something different!
