Wendouree Centre for the Performing Arts reviews
29It's just a great little venue. Every show, no matter what type, musical, stage, comedy, doesn't matter, you feel like you're part of it. We love this place, and visit regularly.
The Centre is a modern, & and well-appointed venue, making it possible for people in Ballarat & Grampians region to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment in a comfort.
Nice little theatre was great for the show we saw.easy to get to and plenty of parking and places to eat at
Amazing place friendly staff great views doesnt matter where you sit. Saw Frankie's Guys there tonight they were awesome had the audience singing and
So good Robinson's brother's and others just a great night they will be back next May you all must go
Saw Pseudo Echo here and it was a amazing show, better than any of the bigger singers and bands I've seen that cost a fortune this was a fantastic night.
Lovely theatre, simple clean layout, and most importantly comfortable seats that make it easy to see over the person in front of you
The centre itself is ok and we liked the show.
Sadly the seats are made for people under 160cm tall and must be less than 60kg. As someone who is 185 cm tall I was very uncomfortable and had no legroom at all. My shoulders were touching the people both sides of me so I had to sit on an angle the whole show. By intermission my legs had gone numb.
Not sure I will be back as looking at the rest of the theatre it doesn't look like there are any options for a normal sized adult to sit in. Maybe it's just made for primary school kids?
A shame as the show was well done and it looks like they get some good acts but I doubt I'll be back.
Went to see David Strassman. Parking was easy, plenty of parks, easy access and seating was a little tight and hard seats.
Went to the Queen show and was the best atmosphere around, love the small places and they have the best seats to sit on and your not squashed at all. Will be going there again.
Loved the show I saw however the disability seating and parking situation needs work. More than 1 disability that needs special seating. My mum is visually impaired but still has some vision. Trying to explain she's not in a wheelchair but needs disability seating so she doesn't have to go up stairs was stressful and that those with disability cannot sit with family. Only being able to book in person to use a companion card made things difficult also. Along with terrible parking for this venue.
David strassman put on an amazing show with the help from everyone involved made it the best night out in months. Well done for making Strassman feel supportive with help a real family as he described it.
Spectacular show "The Proms" 15 oct2022 Sat 2pm, lead by brilliant Ian Cooper and stunning support performers. This show was supreme quality.we felt like we were in the Sydney Opera House.
This theatre is modern, well designed, good seating, amazing acoustics, comfortable temperature controls, short wait for toilets as plenty of them. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Much parking available, easy, FREE, in usually quiet nearby Dare St near Wendouree Primary School. All in the same block, the same side as the theatre, a few minutes walk.
We appreciated seats inside the spacious foyer to wait, NOT standing, waiting outside, unprotected from the elements.
THANK YOU. Post by jm 16oct2022.
Grumpy staff in the kiosk and at the doors. Maybe some customer service training would help.
Cheap instant coffee at the kiosk, pretty disgusting. Wouldn't take much to install an espresso machine, considering the number of shows.
Buy some coffee cups with lids, so patrons can take their coffee in the theatre.
No bins located around the waiting area or theatre.
I was pleased to get to the show after cancelled by covid. Staff were helpful. Box office replied to email promptly. Had good seats. No complaints or worries. Everything was professional and well presented.
Took a while to get our seats we paid for only because people sitting in wrong seats. The Ballarat symphony orchestra were absolutely fabulous and diffidently made up for the bad start.
Excellent venue with flexible spaces and facilities. Always enjoy attending performances and events here.
Theatre is a great place. Great seating and acoustics. Daunting at first about the parking it seemed to work out. 2 Points off about the fact that I don't know why the council would build a major theatre that services all of Ballarat without appropriate parking around the building itself. Making it safer to walk to.i had to do a car run.prior to the concert and went round to every back street to see if there was onsite or some sort of parking. Only safe parking was across the road where people shop. So your car isn't safe if your doors get nicked or by a trolley. Otherwise once inside pleasant experience.
We went for a school concert it was a great centre easy to find and access. Parking was great the place was clean and well presented
Went to see Arj Barker's new show "We Need To Talk". Great show and a great night. Thanks for the laughs.
