Welcome To Travel: Melbourne

Welcome To Travel was the perfect start to my time in Oz. I initially didn’t feel the need to book any kind of tour, and was happy to just show up and meet people and plan my own activities. After watching the video they have to summarize the 8 day tour, it seemed like an awesome time and a good value as well considering all that is included.

I had the opportunity to be impressed by the WTT crew a few weeks before I even landed in Oz. I had some issues with my booking through my credit card company, and the team was hugely helpful, professional, and patient in helping to work through those issues.

As the week began, it became immediately obvious that this company is something the team have poured their hearts and souls into. Great activities, awesome guides, and really well thought out planning. I was consistently impressed with the connections they have made within Melbourne and also around Oz to make both the tour and our travel afterwards so much easier and more enjoyable. Businesses and restaurants have set aside space, time, and even special pricing and menus to build and maintain a relationship with the awesome WTT team.

There are so many fun scheduled items throughout the week, but there are also countless smaller moments where you get to simply enjoy time with people who have quickly gone from strangers to close friends. There are just as many moments where it will be plainly obvious the the guides at WTT truly care for you, your enjoyment, and your success while in Oz.

I cannot think of a better way that I could have spent my first week in Oz. Still trying to get some of the Aussie slang down, but the Welcome To Travel team 100% fit what Aussies refer to as “legends. ”

Best tour I have ever been on. Would recommend everyone goes on this, local or not, great value for money, amazing experiences and a great way for backpackers to get started

The Welcome to Travel 8 day tour was extraordinary! Clive, Adam and Darryl are very personable and very funny! The highlight of the trip was Phillip Island from the Penguin Parade to surfing the next day. Once the tour is over the services don't end there. Darryl and Adam are willing to help you on journey's further down the road! They make you feel like part of the Welcome to Travel family!

Even though I'm not taking a year out, this trip was by far the highlight of my holiday. The people, places and memories are second to none! I cannot recommend Welcome to Travel enough. If you're thinking about booking a trip to Melbourne, just do it. You won't look back. Thanks, Claud, Adam and Daryl!

Had an amazing week with Darryl and Adam.

Easily one of the best weeks I've ever had in my life.
The group and activities were so much fun.
Met many other solo travelers from all over the globe and we got so close to each other - as a little family - over the course of the week.

At the end of the week Adam and Darryl helped us to plan out our following work and travel year.

Honestly couldn't have been better all in all.
This tour exceeded my expectations by far - would've regreted it if I didn't do it.

The perfect start to your travels! You don't have to worry about anything, cause everything is taken care of. It's an amazing feeling before you go that you won't be on your own when you arrive on the other side of the world, but that there's someone waiting for you to pick you up and drive you to your hostel.
You'll see so much more with this tour than you could've ever seen on your own but the week still felt relaxed. Clauds, Darryl and Adam are really friendly and they know Melbourne and Australia so well that after this week (and the personal meetings) you'll feel prepared for your own journey in Australia.
It's also no problem at all if you eat vegan/vegetarian cause they'll make sure there's always an option for everyone.

I would 100% recommend this week to everyone new in Australia/new to travelling alone!

Hands down the best decision I could’ve possibly made coming to Australia! The Welcome to Travel group thought of everything when planning this tour and was definitely one of the best weeks of my life. Met tons of amazing people from all over the world and friendships that will go far beyond this week. Clauds was an absolute gem who loves her country and loves showing it off even more. I never could’ve done this all on my own. Worth every dollar spent and more!

Literally cannot recommend these guys enough. The 8 day Tour was so fun and so useful for helping me get settled in Melbourne: they sorted me out with a bank account, gave me tips for finding a job as well as introducing me to such great people.
Adam then went above and beyond in organising my travels up the East Coast. He gave me the best travel recommendations, got me booked on the best tours for places like Fraser Island and the Whitsundays and was so helpful when things went wrong with the weather in Cairns, getting me booked on another dive trip at the last minute. All we had to do the whole trip was just turn up on time! He was always quick to respond to messages and the level of knowledge these guys have is just ridiculous. Thank you so much for everything guys!

Did the 8 day tour with Welcome to Travel and it was AWESOME! Not only do you get to see wildlife up close, go surfing, wine tasting and exploring the city, you also feel so welcome and at ease with the guides. Legends all, they make sure everyone feels included and really take the time to get to know you. After the week you will know Australia and Melbourne better and you'll also have a better sense of how you're going to tackle the next phases of your trip.

This is not just a tour, you join the Welcome to Travel family. ^^

A very enjoyable week, with so much help for the remainder of your journey. Would recommend this to anyone traveling on a working holiday Visa.

Welcome to travel is definitely the best way to begin your aussie adventures! Everything is so smooth with that team, from the pick up at the airport to the final BBQ on the rooftop! Lots of activities to satisfy each personality surf, visits, food, drink, wildlife. An incredible guide (Claudia) who perfectly know her city, and new friends to begin your trip:)

Had an incredible trip exploring Melbourne, Mornington and Phillip Island. Would highly recommend Welcome to Travel, they made it super easy to navigate between the different spots and managed to see an unbelievable in a short time without it being overwhelming.

Extremely enjoyable and memorable week, Claudia Adam and Darryl relaxed me a lot as this is my first experience travelling, very supportive and extremely funny group and would recommend to anyone travelling in Melbourne.
