Waverley Cinema reviews
48Went to see Journey to Bethlehem on 23.12.23. It was a comedy & a musical highly recommend the movie. Intimate cinema, comfy seats, clean, popcorn, ice creams, drinks & other treats, very good customer service. Make sure you ask for your parking voucher from the counter so you don't get fined in the 2 hour parking restrictions in the area. Park in the cinemas car spots.
I Am a member of this Showbiz Cinema at Pinewood Mount Waverley. My friends and I attend there at least once a month Always an enjoyable way to see a movie. Staff very friendly And a few different Cafes at Pinewood to choose for lunch after the movie at Pinewood. Pleasant outing each visit.
Family friendly, cozy and clean, easy access and parking to go. Love the theatres and watching movies there. Hope it keeps going forever.
New management
New prices - maybe will go down fast
Research not done -
People travel from surrounding suburbs for the:
cheaper cost
Intimate cinemas & theatres
Movies were also different to blockbuster that not interested in
More low key different movies (changed this innovative idea)
Movies kept on for much longer so if you didn’t make it in 2-3 weeks was still on
Remember no one will travel a few suburbs if I can $20 & not travel why would I pay $16 & travel
Management please see this, fo your diligent research - in a tough economic climate - with plenty of streaming going on - think of your target market & why their your target market.
It has just changed ownership but has always been a family favourite. I will keep going there
Great value for money, especially if you get their yearly membership. Lots of great movies to watch for just $8. You can even bring your own food and drink. Facilities are clean and staff are friendly. Highly recommended.
Came across this small family owned cinema randomly when we wanted to go watch The Whale. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were blown away by how beautiful everything was! The neon lights, the furniture, the candy bar and the small intimate theatres - everything was stunning. I highly recommend going here to watch movies! Tickets are very cheap too! Will definitely be coming back regularly! What a beautiful hidden gem.
Such a beautiful place, with friendly staff and not too busy. Perfect place to have a nice romantic date night
1st time but I was good experience.experience.
All time Cheaper movie to watch.
Good value of money.
The staff were rude on the occasion that I visited. The seats are cramped. I think Croydon and Boronia Cinema have better customer service and seating.
What a hidden gem. I didn't even know about this place until when a friend recommended a birthday party spot for my daughter.
The kids had fun. They loved the tray with juice box, popcorn and choc top.
The place is clean, sound system is very good, and basically a normal cinema without the crowd and the price tag of the bigger cinema.
Nice little cinema complex, well worth a visit. Lower prices in a great location. Support your local small business and see a movie here.
My self and my two grown up sons went to this establishment yesterday to see a film we were told we could go up stairs to see the movie we went into the cinema as the door was open but the lights were not on.it’s a small cinema so we thought Ok maybe we are the only ones coming. We went to sit down and my youngest who is a tall man in his 30 s 6 ft 3 in the old scale could not fit into the seat provided! The seats were not wide enough nor did they have enough leg room either. It was at this point that a man came in and proceeded to tell us off for being in there as couldn’t we see there were no lights on! We did not even get a chance to reply when he told us to get out and wait. We had no chance to reply as he went off somewhere.we stood outside the cinema door waiting and thinking what to do about the fact that one of my sons could not fit when this man bustled back and once agin told us off for going into the cinema.and said that we could now go in. Only about two minutes had transpired between being in the cinema the first time and being informed that it was now ok to go in again! I understand that the man could think that if we had gone into a darkened cinema we could have had an accident Andy possibly sued if we had been so inclined.but to make us transpire the darkened cinema again in Oder to follow his instructions is just increasing the likelihood of an accident! As was said earlier we were to, d to go on up and the doors were open. Whoever the man was he defiantly needs to improve his social skills as it seems he was on a massive power trip and the cinema could improve with taking into consideration that not all their clients are tiny little old ladies and invest in some seating for the people of today. My sons and I left before seeing any of the movie due to poor treatment
We organised our son's 15th birthday party movie experience for 20 guests. The cinema printed special vouchers with his photo and birthday message as tickets. It only cost $19 pp for choc top, popcorn, soft drink & cinema ticket. Before the movie, they screened his colour photo, along with our personalised birthday message and played 2 birthday songs with cake graphics. Our group was so excited to be a part of this awesome party. Thank you Waverley cinema, we'll be doing this again.
Owned by a single family since 1974, this lovely small cinema hall is a vibe. It's like you have a very personalised experience. Not like the usual movie theatres, the screen isn't too big like the usual ones with seating space for around 30 people but it's like your home theatre systems! Tickets are fairly cheap as well!
Took my mum to see the elivis movie. Only $9.00 a ticket was our first time at the Waverley cinema and yes I would go here again
What a great cinema, a suburban gem.
Bargain prices & a comfortable cinema experience. Plus great "choc-tops".
Really sweet little suburban cinema. We were in cinema four which is a small theatrette but great image and sound and awesome value for money. Highly recommend.
Cute cinema experience. Your definitely stepping back in time to watch a movie here. Amusing to occasionally hear the elderly patrons commenting on movie scenes, being a little deaf.
Small, family run cinema. Friendly and helpful staff. Current, popular movies showing (at great prices). Plenty of parking in Pinewood precinct
